As I crossed the street, I noticed J & J Spirt Shop and walked in out of curiosity. And again, just for curiosity's sake of course... I asked if they carried 1792 Whiskey. Ok to be honest, I actually asked if they carried "1702" Whiskey but they kindly and politely corrected me (I was exhausted so let's call it a brainfart) and quickly presented me with a bottle. I knew I was running low on the bottle I have at home (it lasted me quite a while folks!) and since the price was quite right, I decided to buy one. I was tempted to buy two because again, at 34.99, it felt like a deal. I've actually purchased the same exact 750ml bottle for $40 pre-tax at other stores. There is also a really cool looking cigar shop next door. Had I not been in hurry to catch my train and had one waiting for me at home, I would have certainly stopped in. When I got home, I popped the bottle in the freezer (this probably goes against whiskey code but I like my drinks cold but without ice) and enjoyed it with my cigar. Today I stopped in to get a watch battery replaced and a simple soldering repair on a broken gold chain. The employee told me that the watch could not be repaired because the back of the watch required a special tool to remove it, and that the gold chain repair estimate was $25 and would take two weeks. The battery would cost $15 for a total of $40.00 I left and drove to LaMonica Jewelers in Bohemia. $10 for the watch battery plus $10 for the chain repair and both are now fixed at half the price I was quoted by Kay Cameron. This is simply awful customer service.

The woman that stopped by me was cuter than a button and sweeter than sugar. While they don't currently offer wine tastings the space is so unique I can see a small event happening here.
