Update April 2021. The food and service had started to fall off here early last year. But a visit today convinced us that they have returned to the right path. Food was hot and fresh and flavorful. Service was attentive and friendly. The facilities are clean and in good repair. The chips and salsa are excellent. I'm glad they stepped up their game and returned to their former glory. read more

First time to cilantro the other week and would totally go back! I love loved my experience: the service was pretty good, it's a nice large restaurant so could be good for large groups. The frozen margarita was good and the beef fajitas were the second best in town but by far the most affordable! My other favorite place has expensive fajitas. This place is super cheap for such a high quality! Also, we enjoyed the queso to start. Really wanted to love this place given the reviews. Service was poor. We walked in and two servers pointed at one another. I mean, the place was empty. They were nice enough when they came by but never checked to see how it was, if we needed anything, etc. Queso is not good at all. Yellow cheese and resembled cheese whiz. My Wife & I just ate here today for the 1st time. We were impressed with the physical appearance, service and prices. The food was really, really good. It was a bit too spicy for my wife, but she is Uber sensitive to spicy food. On the other hand, I'm a spicy food connoisseur & found the spice flavor and intensity be spot-on! This place is awesome! A local mom & pop eatery that was excellent in everyway. (atmosphere, waitstaff, food quality) The salsa was served warm and tasted very fresh. I also had queso which was excellent. I do not remember ever having queso that was better. Very tasty & smooth. I also had the daily special which was Carne Guisada. Again excellent. It was served with rice, charra beans, and homemade corn tortillas served hot off the grill. This is definitely a place worth many a return visit! read more

This place is amazing!! We ordered the fajitas poblanos and seriously one of the best fajitas I've had! The meat was super tender and crispy, the cream sauce creamy, and the HOMEMADE tortillas is what tops it off! Truly one of the best fajitas we've had especially for the price of $23 for 2. This is, hands down, my favorite fajita place ever. The portion size is HUGE--even when I'm hungry I typically have to get a to-go box--and funnily enough, I normally don't even like fajitas! (I recommend the beef here.) That said, I'm almost positive they use store-bought corn tortillas, while their flour ones appear to be freshly made. I'd dock it half a star for that, if I could, but for the majority of people, eating wheat tortillas won't be a big issue, so I'll keep the star for that. read more

This is one great Mexican Restaurants in the Downtown Bryan area. The foods are great in terms of authenticity and quality. They serve all categories of foods including starters and desserts. They also have great beer including Modelo. The staff were so nice and attentive. It was a not too crowded and the dining area are pretty clean. I loved the cheesecake! read more

This was our first time and our server was friendly and the place was ice cold. Several items on the menu looked good but since I've never seen carne asada fries I gave them a try. Boy were they good. The only thing that would have made my visit better was if the TV was turned down a bit. Between the music and the TV I could barely hear my husband. Tried Cilantro for lunch today and came away disappointed (given the raving Yelp reviews). The 90 percent Anglo clientele was a dead giveaway. I had the carnitas--good meat but zero seasoning (except for the accompanying green sauce--just warmed-up table salsa). My wife had the cilantro fish and liked it. We both thought poorly of the beans and rice. So, better than the chains in town, but nowhere near as good as Mi Pueblito, El Sol de Mexico (the original one on Texas), or Mi Cocina. I give it 2.5 starts, my wife says 3.5. read more
