I visit every so often when I'm in town simply because of how cute it is. I was happy to see they sell some local products, like a hot sauce I previously found at the Ithaca Farmer's Market. Their book selection is also charming - I spotted a bathroom check-in book for guests to fill out, which I thought was such a fun idea. If you're visiting Ithaca and looking for local or homemade goods, Sunny Days is definitely the place to check out! :)

What I wasn't expecting was to interact with such kind and generous individuals. My experience with this shop has been nothing but stellar. Their selection is wonderful and the website was easy to navigate. The staff was friendly and helpful when I called with some questions. My items arrived all the way to California packaged with care, everything in perfect order. I will definitely be back, and my only regret is that this isn't my local shop. But it's definitely one I have added to my list of places to visit.

Barely greeted. 2 employees in store talking loudly (heard throughout…read morestore) about personal family issues, being forced to work weekends, trashing other employees and political beliefs. One customer left and another came over and asked me if I thought it was appropriate behavior. She then said after we heard the political comments "I can't buy anything here" and left. Just as I glanced at them, the one - who later identified herself as "the manager" asked if I needed assistance. I said "thank you for finally asking". She said.. "we were just venting."- I continued.. "oh yes, we ALL have heard it-- there have been 3 of us in here and 2 have left because you have carried on a personal conversation that can be heard throughout the store! She then proceeded to tell me she had the right to refuse service as I was being rude to her! Refusing service?? She didn't provide any! Needless to say, my husband left the 3 pairs of shoes he was going to buy and we left. So possibly 5 sales lost but definitely 3! If the sales are tanking, this type of erratic, unprofessional behavior may be why. No wonder stores are closing when this is the type of employees representing the store. Corporate will be getting a call.
