When I originally started this process I was interested in a couch they did not have in stock and were able to provide me with some comparable alternatives. Upon arrival the process was smooth and easy, I got to inspect the couch we loaded up my truck and were good to go. Roland and the other employees helping were friendly and helpful. read more

They made getting a super comfy recliner easy and affordable. Cincinnati Overstock Warehouse had a nice selection of recliners, giving me lots of options to choose from. Different styles/materials/colors. Roland took the time to answer my questions about the different models, and provided me shipping times/in-stock inventory. He was friendly and helped me to find the chair that was right for me. I was able to get my chair that day, and the warehouse staff helped me load it into my van at the dock. I was able to get it home and assembled and have been using it since then. Super happy with my purchase. Will go back there the next time I need furniture. read more

My girlfriend went in to the Florence, KY location and purchased a sectional couch. It happened to be the floor model and last available they had. She scheduled a pick up for the very next day. I picked up a Uhaul and me and my brother went to pick up the couches (my gf was not present). The gentleman at the door asked me to pull the uhaul to the dock and he and another worker proceeded to load the couch into the truck. The furniture was completely wrapped in plastic and partially boxed as well. He asked me to sign a paper (which i incorrectly assumed was for picking up the couches). I proceeded to go to my house to drop off our couches where my girlfriend was waiting. Me and my brother carried the heavy couches up 3 flights of stairs. When we unwrapped the couches my girlfriend said THEY GAVE US THE WRONG COUCHES!!!!! I called the company which was impossible to get through do to having a automated service. I text the number written on the paperwork and fortunately received a call from Dylan, the manager. I informed him of the mistake and asked him if he still sees the couches on the door that we paid for at which point he says, "oh my god yes i do". I asked if he could schedule a pickup for the couches we received and if they can bring us the correct couches. He said.... "unfotunately since you signed the paper that you received the correct couches you would have to bring them back to us and we can exchange them". I said excuse me??? I said did your company wrap up the incorrect couches? He said yes. I said did your company load the couches into our truck? He said yes. I said was this an error on your end? He said yes. I said so you can't come get the couches and bring us the correct ones??? He said unfortunately you would have to bring them to us. So me and my girlfriend decided to just keep the couches instead going through the hassle with them. Fast forward 2 days after we decided to keep the couches.... (here's the kicker) I received this exact text from the company (copy & paste) "I apologize, We need the address to pick the sectional up, as it was previously sold to another customer before you, they purchased on 2/26." "Hello, We apologize for the misunderstanding on the items. It seems the wrong sectional was delivered to your home. We are reaching out to try to obtain the address so that we can bring you the correct sectional and take the incorrect sectional back to the warehouse. Please send the address so that our delivery team get you scheduled to bring out the correct sectional." So NOW they want to pick up the couches free at charge and deliver the correct ones because they realized the couches they gave us were for someone else. Ha! Sorry not sorry. Customer service never responded my multiple calls after 2 months of waiting. I was advised the 4 months ''should have been noted' on my receipt. It was not. The day I purchased the bedroom set, I was 'next to receive the (Ashley Furniture) bed, per the purchase order.' I was advised at the point of purchase it would be at minimum 6 weeks. Fine. That was acceptable. Order placed 8/14. 'Expect 4 months'. They are selling merchandise that they are not able to deliver. If it's NOT in stock, I would not recommend. I have been a repeated customer for 6year and this situation made me a life long customer. The customer service I received from Ann when I had a mistake in my delivery she went into action immediately to rectify the situation. Ann had sent two gentleman Ben/Josh to replace my mattress and to pick up my what was said about the dresser set to big to get up my steps. The two superheroes got it up in all of 5 minutes with no damages. That made my day because I cried thinking I had to change my Decore. ****SCAM ALERT**** Save Your Money. I ordered a couch in OCTOBER, it is January 1, I am AT the store & they will NOT Allow pick up. After coming in damaged in Novemeber, a new one was ordered. It Finally came in the week of Christmas when they have Limited Hours. It is Janurary 1, I'm in the are and called all morning to see if we could schedule pick-up with no answer so we stop by the store to see if we can pick up my couch only to be told NO. There is No Manager to talk to & they Don't give Any Refunds so I can't even just get my money back and be done with it. Ordered an Ashley bedroom set from Cincinnati Overstock on 3/29/21 finally they call last week to set up delivery today (8/9/21) between 8-12pm. At 12:30pm (after waiting all morning) a guy calls and rambles off something about needing my email for the warranty, I gave it and continued waiting for my furniture. At 2pm I call the store to see where the hell they are and it turns out my items were broken BEFORE they even arrived but yet the guy on the phone that called me did a crap job of explaining that, so I'm back to waiting for the furniture. HORRIBLE customer service!!!! All my furniture has been moved out of my bedroom and now I'm just supposed to wait x amount of time?! They couldn't even give me a time frame. This has been paid in full for MONTHS!! Buy elsewhere, I know next time I will!! ETA: They came back 8/28 to deliver my furniture, this time they "forgot" to bring the headboard, side rails and mirror. They didn't even tell me the items were missing until they had the dressers and end tables upstairs or I would have refused this partial delivery. I wonder how long I'll wait for the rest of my order now??!! DO NOT ORDER FROM THEM!! Seriously horrible customer service, it's not worth the headache. I have an elderly woman I take care of and help her with things. She bought a chair from them by herself without my help and they must have seen an opportunity to make the extra buck. They talked her into a chair that was nothing like what she really needed, then talked her into two different warranties on the chair. Then the chair was promised to be delivered several different times to then be changed and finally once it did arrive it was obviously put together poorly as it was lopsided and extremely uncomfortable for her. I called them to stress the importance of a good chair for her and how I believe she was taken advantage of and their continuous response with no sympathy whatsoever was, "its our policy we don't take things back and its up to the warranty company now" Never again will I deal with them for her or myself considering they make no attempts to right their wrongs nor have any care for their customers. read more

Finally received my couch and the delivery guys were too lazy to remove the feet and tried to force the couch thru my door. They severely damaged the door and then asked me to sign a damage waiver that waves them from responsibility. I sent delivery guys home and brought the couch in with my teenage son. They have a department that handles damage and it has been a month since I filed the complaint. I emailed them(no phone #) and they told me the owners are really busy right now! We ordered a 3 piece sectional from this company and upon arrival the product was not anywhere near the quality of the one we picked out in the showroom. The piece that was delivered had various types/grains of leather on it and had no sense of uniformity. I have purchased leather furniture before so I understand that not every piece is the same. However the piece they delivered was definitely used and one that they were trying to get out of the warehouse. Multiple calls and emails to the company were not returned so I contacted American Express and they issued me a refund since Overstock was unwilling to replace the sectional. I bought a mattress and paid for delivery. They informed me it was a third party delivery service that would reach out to me. The service did and they offer NO WEEKENDS OR EVENINGS. Due to Cincinnati Overstocks delivery service being unable to service me, they told me I could pick it up (which I can't, I paid for delivery for this reason) or they referred me to other delivery services that I would have to pay for. When buying, I was not informed of the delivery service's lack of availability whatsoever. I would not have bought from here. After reaching out, I'm reminded that all sales are final even if I would like to cancel by order due to THEIR lack of service availability. Delivery fee was offered to be refunded but I am thoroughly unimpressed with the seller withholding delivery scheduling availability in the first place. Very disappointed in our experience with Cincinnati Overstock Warehouse. We ordered a couch and bedroom set in August and have not received any items yet. We have called to get updates frequently and was told our ETA would not be pushed back each time. As of now we are 5 weeks past the original ETA and it looks like it will not be delivered for about 3-4 more weeks. Our couch is in, but the delivery group will not deliver until they have a route nearby. I hope they will do something to make it right, but we have been brushed off each time. I understand covid has caused a delay and have been very understanding with staff. I just wish they would do something to make it right. read more

I ordered bar stools which were only sold in a set of two. I needed four stools so I ordered what I thought was two sets of two. After waiting two weeks for my confirmation email that my items were available for pick up we drove 40 minutes to the warehouse where I was told I actually only bought two stools. The front office lady and the manager both acknowledged this was an issue with the website that they have seen numerous times and they are working to update the website. I then asked for a refund because I needed more than two stools and was told I would not receive a full refund because of a restocking fee. I dealt with 20 text messages and 6 phone calls from the delivery people. The delivery company had the audacity to ask me where DAYTON KENTUCKY was! He was trying to get me to give him - a delivery driver- DIRECTIONS! Also, in the last of the 20 messages I received from the company, they stated my delivery window would be between 9 am and 2 pm. They dropped my couch off in the wet front yard at 715 am. Oh - keep in mind, that they do not have ANY of the furniture in stock if you go to the showroom. I purchased a sectional on April 26, 2021. Was told it would be here in 12-16 weeks. I understand that things are slow right now because of the pandemic, sure. However, today is September 7th (19+ weeks later), and still no sectional. Whenever I call, they say the last piece is "scheduled to ship out from manufacturer on x date". You have to assemble nearly all the furniture they sell. This is how they are able to pass any savings to the customer. You have to put everything together yourself. It all comes in boxes, and then you get to spend your weekend putting it together. The directions are poor and the pieces and fit are not precise at all. Do not expect IKEA quality when it comes to things fitting together. This is of course in the fine print you won't read, and that they won't mention. The people that deliver are contractors who are bracing for the look of anger and frustration on your face when they arrive. They know exactly who you need to call to complain to, because they know how frustrating the situation is. Avoid this store at all costs if you're looking for the experience to be happy or easy. Our furniture took two weeks to deliver and when it was, we were looking at four enormous boxes for an endtable, coffee table, sofa table and tv stand. It took hours and hours of sweat and frustration to put together. We will never shop there again. read more

If you ever have to buy furniture from somewhere, please do yourself, your wife, your husband, your kids, your pets and anyone else who could visit your house a favor and bypass Cincinnati Overstock. I went there on March 21st to look for a sectional and ottoman. I met "V", one of the sales people and she was very helpful. She helped me measure the piece she recommended which seemed to be perfect for my place. I bought the chaise, sofa and ottoman. She told me it would be about 6 weeks until arrival because the manufacturer had to make a new one. The piece was said to come from Chicago. I was moving into my new place a week or so after my visit there, but figured I could wait because it was my fault for waiting so late. So weeks go by and I don't hear anything from them. I call the customer hotline 5ish weeks after ordering and she (Tearza) said my piece will be here on 5/15. That's a whole 8 weeks after they placed the order...2 weeks longer than I was told. I said okay, I'll look to hear from you all via phone or email when it gets here to schedule delivery. Well, 5/15 comes - nothing. So I call them back. I speak with a pleasant lady named "Spring". She was nice to talk to, seemed to care but didn't have any information on where my stuff was. She told me to call back the next day as the girl who does the tracking would be there and tell me exactly where my stuff was. I called 3x the next day, and on the 3rd time (after blocking my caller ID), someone picked up. It was Spring again. She had her notes from the day before and immediately said she was look into it. I was on a silent gold for 15 minutes. She came back on the phone to say they had no idea where my stuff was and if I could wait until Monday, her boss would call the manufacturer. I said no thanks, I would like all my money back. She was hesitant to give it back (per her boss I assume), without them trying to make it right. But at that point, I had given them chance after chance to do so, but to no avail. So, she credited my card the $1,000+ for the stuff and said it should hit my account in 2-3 business days. Again, Spring was very nice to talk to and seemed to make sure I was taken care of. But Cincinnati Overstock as a whole...I'm disappointed and not at all impressed. I would not suggest buying from this store. Ordered a couch and bedroom set in January. Went to pick it up March 13(after a call saying it was in 3weeks earlier) - They lost the headboard and had to order a new one. We moved out of state(four hours away) March 14 and have been calling and calling since trying to get ahold of Ben or somebody in charge but nobody ever calls us back. We were first told that they would have Ashley drop ship the headboard to us and we would have it by March 16. Then they changed the story and said that Ashley 'can't drop ship' and that we can come pick it up once it arrives at the warehouse. We are four hours away and that was not what we were told originally. We've asked for several calls from management but have not received a single call back. After a week of the headboard shipping to their warehouse, they are just now trying to figure out HOW they are going to get it to us. Absolutely ridiculous customer service. read more

I'm giving them a mercy star because our sales woman Pat was so wonderful. 4-5 weeks ago we purchased/ordered a beautiful corduroy sectional. I've been searching for 8 months for a suitable replacement for our previous sectional. Was so excited to find their sectional. Delivery was set up after about 3-4 weeks. Delivery guys arrived early which was good. However; the more senior delivery guy seemed very disgruntled and aggravated about our suggestions on how to bring it through the room it was to go in. One of the guys was a younger man/teenager who was pleasant enough. The more senior guy was clearly annoyed. He made 3 attempts to bring it in through our front hallway. We asked him to take it through the kitchen and laundry room because there were no obstacles in the way. He kept saying it wouldn't work and wouldn't even look at our suggestion. He said he could return the sofa and we might be charged a small restocking fee. In hindsight I probably should have called the store there snd tried to demand they deliver it. But was slightly intimidated by him. We called the store which is an 800 general number. The customer service rep said we could either pay $100 to have it brought back to our home or pay a 15% restocking fee and the remainder would be an in store credit. So we went to the store to discuss with a Manager hoping we could get some help/support. He was very nice and suggested we talk to the GM. He explained that customer service gave us incorrect info. The restocking fee is 25% and the in-store credit for 6 months. They have nothing else I like for the family room. However he said he would message her via email and have her call us within 2 days. It's been almost 3 days and no contact from her. We can't reach her via phone, customer service will not release her email address either or her name. Super bummed that this is their policy and they they won't try to talk with us to resolve it. I really wanted this sectional. Ended up paying $1700 on a sofa set that I don't like near as much as the sectional. I think had the delivery guys made an effort to better serve the customer, we could had an all around excellent experience and would be enjoying our new sectional. Instead we felt that we were a burden. The lack of effort on their part put us in a bind and we ended up cancelling our plans and spending an entire day trying to find furniture in stock for us to take home same day. I was advised by a fellow home stager not to deal with this place for my clients and I will be heeding this advice after my personal experience. read more

Where do I start? Well, the customer service at the showroom is OK... just make sure that you are ready for a wait. They give you an ETA (which ours was a week over of our 3-5 week estimate) and then one of our pieces was damaged at the warehouse and our cocktail ottoman never arrived. We ordered before Thanksgiving and it is now after Martin Luther King day and still no ottoman in sight! I have repeatedly called their customer service line, to which I am always told that it will be here by the end of the next week.... I was just told that it would be here now within 2/3 weeks (end of the week 2/5!)... Maddening. My only alternative is to cancel my order. When I asked if she was able to talk to the company supplying it for a more accurate ETA, she said "That is the most up to date information I have." Right, so when I call back (because they've never contacted me), I'll be told that it will be another 2/3 weeks and maybe I'll get my ottoman come summer maybe??? This is the WORST customer service I've ever had. They literally blame everything on the suppliers and no one has gone out of their way to get a more accurate date for me and no one is held accountable for the totally off ETAs... if you want to be put off continually for items for which you've already paid for and to deal with subpar customer service reps who literally are there to provide an answering service rather than CUSTOMER SERVICE, then I'd recommend this place. My boyfriend and I stopped in to look at sectionals, and fell in love with one that day. The new location is great! We were approached by just about every worker in the store to kindly ask if we needed help which was much appreciated. We were there on a busy weekend. We never felt like anybody was breathing down our necks rushing us to make a decision, or pushing us into something we weren't really interested in. Once we made our decision we went to the front desk and we were paid and out of the store within 15 minutes. The sectional we chose was already there in stock so we drove around to the loading dock and a couple of nice gentleman loaded the couch in our car for us. We had just bought a new house and wanted all new furniture so we went to cincy overstock in Florence. We got a Ms. V which is totally awesome and very helpful. I was so stressed over picking furniture that I could cry and scream not as fun as I thought it would be. She took lots of time helping me. I found a sample of fabric i liked in one of their books. So i ordered the chair i liked she let me take the sample for a week so i could make paint. Very helpful. Ok now for the bad part... Was told it would be 6 weeks (ok we had the time to wait) we ordered 2 big bedrooms full of furniture couch,loveseat, my chair and 4 pillows to match... End up not getting one of the chest (dresser) for my sons room that she said came with the package that she stated we would get in her email. Ok we didnt need it anyway so i let that go. 5 weeks in i called to to ask when it would be delivered. They didnt know. Anyway it was 3 weeks late and im pretty pissed now i went to store 3 times emailed Ms V. Called customer service who are no help at all and hateful. They said they are waiting on my chair to be done. I said well deliver my other stuff cause we are sleeping on the hard floor now. 2 weeks more go by and i said im going to cancel if it isnt to my house in 2 days well it finally got delivered. We had one slight miscommunication that we had to call and schedule a pick up time rather than waiting for them to reach out to us, but when I emailed customer service regarding this I got a prompt response. We were able to get our dining table set in about a week, which felt extremely reasonable given we are in a pandemic. When we arrived at the West Chester location the employees helped load it all into our car and we were in and out in about 15 minutes. I would certainly purchase from here again. read more

Sure the good prices are intriguing but the overall experience has been absolutely horrible! I came here to furnish my new apartment after moving back into the area and if I could do it all over again I would have taken my $2,000+ order to a different company! Nothing I was told during the entire experience was true -- The "manager" my parents and I spoke to (lets call him S for short) informed me that the items I selected could be ordered and delivered within 1.5 weeks and everything but the dining table chairs would arrive already put together. Almost 3 weeks later I was called to schedule delivery, being told that ALL of my items were ready to be delivered and that the earliest they could deliver them was 6 days later. Since I was working that day and I was told that delivery would be very easy I asked my parents to wait for the truck. Imagine my surprise when I got a phone call from them telling me that the items I ordered were being delivered in a MILLION pieces and my 3 piece coffee & side table set was not there. After a 4th call with customer service I was told that the table set arrived damaged -- I asked why did the 3 previous people not tell me that news....she couldn't answer it. All she could say is that the new set should arrive Oct. 14th. Thats just shy of 2 months since the original order was placed. How on earth does it take 2 months for a table set?! There's nothing to it but glass and iron! I asked why did I get lied to about the assembly process...she couldn't answer. All she could say was that assembly cost extra. Why did I not get offered that during the payment process? After all I was spending A LOT of money to completely furnish my new apartment. I could have used some help putting everything together if that was the case. Still no response. To top it all off the brand new sofa I purchased has several holes right in the stitching of the arm. Do you not check the items in the shipments you receive?! Instead of being able to keep it for the time being they are making me return it to start the process of getting a replacement sent. The replacement couch isn't expected to arrive for an additional month! What am I expected to do with no couch when guests come over?!? I asked what type of compensation was going to be done for all of these issues -- a $50 gift card or a $25 credit?! Seriously???? Thats it?! You expect that to make all of these issues ok?! This isn't an issue I caused after all....I received damaged merchandise! I just want to state that I absolutely love the remaining items that were purchased. They look great in my apartment. I also understand that things happen but these issues with Customer Service have outweighed the good. I also would've given a 0-star rating if possible. I've never had a worse experience with a company than I had with this one. The lack of accountability and professionalism was astounding and really just pathetic. I ordered my furniture in late July and I didn't receive my $3,700 worth of furniture properly until the last week of January. I was told the bulk of my items would be delivered AND assembled in 2-3 weeks. Some items were going to take a little longer (an ottoman, a server, and a nightstand), but it was only 4-6 weeks for those items. I said I would just bring a friend's truck and pick up those items when they arrive. I'll try to lay out a timeline: I call after 2.5 weeks and we're only waiting on my bedroom set. I call after 3.5 weeks and we're only waiting on my bedroom set, still. Okay, not a huge deal, but let's try to get it figured out. I call after 4.5 weeks and now we're mysteriously waiting on my sectional. You may ask how that makes sense, but so did I and never got an answer. So now we're at the point where my other items should be getting in, so I ask them to just go ahead and combine the orders so it's all delivered at once since I was already paying for delivery and assembly. After countless calls, waiting on the phone for half an hour at a time (at least), numerous voicemails, and several emails, I finally got ahold of someone again after 8 weeks. At this point, I'm told my sectional is discontinued.... Maybe I'm completely out of line, but don't you think they'd call to let me know this? Not a chance with this embarrassment of an establishment!! I wonder when they finally would've taken the initiative to reach out to let me know this vital information. But THEN they said I could wait until October 19th for the sectional to come in somehow.... not sure how that works, but whatever. We discussed getting credited for the sectional and using that money towards a different sectional. It's needless to say at this point, but the customer service was abysmal. I spoke to multiple people and never got clear, sufficient answers for anything. So after I got off the phone about my discontinued sectional the woman called me back and said they got one back in stock because someone returned theirs. Interesting.... so I proceed to ask the questions that I think would be important about the sectional because they are rather incompetent. I asked if it was the same color, it was, but then I asked if it was facing the right direction and of course it wasn't. I kind of wish they would've just sent me the sectional the wrong way so they would've had some sense of urgency with something to retrieve their items. Finally, the furniture gets delivered and my mother is at my house to receive the items because I was working. They delivered a chest to my bedroom and the drawers didn't pull out so my mom had them take it back on the spot. They delivered a server and nobody thought to open the cabinet doors, I guess, because the shelves were split in half. Heck, maybe they installed them while they were cracked and just couldn't care less because they take no pride in their work. As I mentioned before, I paid for assembly so they assembled my dining room set, but literally one (1) of the six (6) chairs was fully functional and put together properly. The others had to be sent back because they either wobbled over 1/2 an inch or it was just completely missing a stretcher on the back of the chair. It's not like it was just missing, either. I could see the broken wood in the latch point/hole. And then of course the table was delivered with wood chips all over the top of it. Of the $3,700 worth of furniture I purchased, 4 items came in to my satisfaction -- to anyone's satisfaction. So then I use the warranty and send back the faulty items. And then when they finally got back to me they immediately came to pick up the items that needed returned, but it took another month and a half to get my items delivered again. This time my younger brother came to my house to receive the furniture because I was working again. I paid for the furniture to be assembled from the beginning, and take a wild guess what they did. They came in and dropped off the boxes of chairs, dining room table, and chest and just left -- no assembly. My brother is younger and was probably afraid to say anything to the employees, but it's their responsibility to know what their job entails. It looks like I'm about to reach my review limit, but I will try to comment the rest. However, if I'm unable to comment on my review I will try to summarize here.... I eventually had to set-up a meeting with the GM and she was incredibly unpleasant and had zero sympathy and took little-to-no responsibility for the lack of professionalism company-wide. I will continue to push people to avoid this company at all costs. So I wrote a review on their FB page and after a promise of a call from a manager if I sent them a PM with my info (which I did), they blocked me from commenting. I warned others about the 16 week wait period (Post 3/10/18) on a couch I paid more for just 2 weeks prior but I guess they don't want people to know the reality and that the promised 6-8 weeks will never happen. I've been lied to on the status of my order and on having a manager call (they did have someone call posing as a manager but I found out real quickly they were not) No calls, no furniture, and I doubt I will ever see my order. Will pay more in the future but will definitely buy directly from Ashley Furniture from now on. Here's the FB exchange: Me: I ordered a couch 2/17 and was told 6-8 weeks. I called Wednesday and was told it would be on Ashley's truck for delivery to them and the status was "shipped". I called today and was told it was now on backorder andI may have it at the end of May. No answers on why and when I asked for a manager to call me and give me reason today, I was told I probably wouldn't get a call. Total bs. 8 weeks of waiting, no couch, now 8 weeks more... but Ashley is selling it on their website as new item. I may spend 200 more but thinking I should cancel and go to them.. this company certainly had not given me a reason to every buy from them again. Cuztomer service at the store was very nice, but that is all I can say. We ordered a dining room set in early March and was told that we would get an email in two to three weeks saying it would be ready for pickup. It has now been a month and still no email. Called customer service on April 6 and was told it was enroute to the Florence store where we wanted to pick it up and we will get an email later that day. Still no email. Called customer service again on Saturday and was told it was still at the warehouse in Cincinnati. Don' know when we will actually get the furniture, but one thing is for sure, I will NEVER buy anything from this place again. If you are willing to wait a very long time then I guess the prices are ok. Will update with another review when I actually get the furniture read more
