I had no idea that we would be out here when I had the excision done. I needed to find a dermatology office that could remove simple stitches on a very small area. This does not even need a doctor. It just needs a quick five minute appointment with a nurse. I have insurance. I was willing to pay for it, and they denied me, saying that they cannot help me because I didn't see one of their doctors to do the initial procedure. How could I have done that since this is the first time I've been in Houston and it is under difficult circumstances. I just needed help and they refused to make an appointment with a nurse. It shouldn't matter that their dermatologist did not perform the procedure. Any nurse could remove stitches and I have to get them done somewhere since they can't be in my body for longer than two weeks. This is not helpful. Very disappointing that this would be their attitude. Oh well. I found an urgent care in the same area that is willing to do it.

When I needed his help, he was there for me as a true doctor. I had left an earlier review for this wonderful individual. I pray he stays on forever. I do not know what I would do without him. Also, Ms. Amanda, who is the biologic coordinator is the best. She answers her phone, follows up and listens to your concerns. She deals with quite a bit as far as the specialized medicinal carriers and its complexity. Excellent. I also want to recognize the staff. They are wonderfully courteous, practice appropriate phone etiquette (believe me, not everyone does), and practice patience with individuals who call the office. Office visits are also a pleasure. The vibe is very upbeat, positive and calm. Complete Dermatology is very fortunate to have this group of individuals. Dr. Gill has helped my daughter deal with her serious case of acne and gave her back her life again while in her early 20's. Million stars for these wonderful people.

I appreciated his professionalism, the way he conducted himself, and his genuine focus on patient care. A few years ago, my husband and I moved out of state for his job. We returned to Texas four years later. My visit with the doctor went well. However, I was surprised when I received my bill and saw that I had been charged the new patient rate because it had been more than three years since my last visit with that practice. In my view, I am not a new patient simply because several years have passed. While I understand that practices have their own billing policies, this one felt like an opportunity to charge existing patients a higher fee rather than recognizing their prior relationship with the practice. Unfortunately, that experience has changed my opinion of the practice. Although, I still have a great deal of respect for my dermatologist and the care he provides, I have decided not to return because I don't agree with this billing policy.

My usual dermatologist couldn't get me in for weeks for an urgent skin problem. I needed to see him now, not in four weeks! Dr. Ali's staff was able to squeeze me in for a same day appointment, and the staff and Doctor were so friendly and helpful. Even though they squeezed me in, I didn't feel rushed, or like I was a bother. I've had that feeling elsewhere. They made sure my insurance covered the visit, and the medications were effective and inexpensive. Within a day I was getting better. I'm going to stick to this practice for all my skin needs from now on. I guess you learn how valuable you are to your doctor when you have a crisis. Thankfully, there are still doctors who actually care about helping people out when they are in need. Thank you Acclaim Dermatology and Dr. Ali!

I have had several dermatologists, who were technically competent, but awful doctors. They rushed…read moreappointments, had rude staff, did not answer questions, and did not do their jobs; i.e. I had to be the one proactively thinking of problems instead of them, as the educated MD, doing it. Not so with Dr. Rachel Parry. In an initial appointment that she could have easily rushed because it was only scheduled for 15 minutes (as per typical...and stupid...policy in most doctor's offices in the U.S.). However, not only did Dr. Parry not rush her appointment, she took her time examining my problems, explained everything slowly and clearly, let me ask any questions, and gave me some great advice going forward. My problems are not catastrophic, but have lingered for years. Dr. Parry took the time, let me repeat that, took time, to actually look, think, and communicate. Something that many of her cohorts in the medical field do not do, while still charging you the same. The only negative is that she belongs to an HMO network which is a good one, but in my case, once my insurance changes, she will not be covered in the future which is sad because it was do hard to find her.

Her approach saved me time, aggravation and money. I recently signed up for Medicare and discovered to my dismay that I can no longer have her as my doctor! Dr. Parry practices within the Kelsey Seybold clinics. Kelsey Seybold is a good organization BUT for those of us on Medicare, they require you to join their "Medicare Advantage Plan" in order to see their doctors. Their plan, however, does not work for my situation. Bummer!!!
