Very unsatisfied with my visit. After weeks of research I was excited to see this 4.5 star rated doctor, my main concern was my scalp. The doctor didn't even look at my scalp, asked me 0 questions about my scalp, things I've tried, have I been to doctor before for this, literally nothing. Just prescribed a shampoo & topical that I mentioned already didn't work for me. Didn't tell me what the shampoo or topical was for, didn't tell me what it was called. This is my first yelp review ever. I never thought I would have to do such a thing to get something resolved! I got laid off due to COVID and my insurance coverage will end on April 30. I ran out of refills and need to get these taken care of before I no longer have insurance to do so. My pharmacy and I have been trying to get a hold of you guys for the past two weeks to get my medicine refills! No response to them or me! There is no way to get a hold of you guys via email (there is no email available) only a phone number in which your mailbox is now full. I had a scheduled appointment for April 16, 2020 and if it wasn't for my pharmacy and I reaching out to get my medicine refills I would have never found out you guys were temp-closed (due to COVID). For this scheduled appointment I had some blood work I needed to do two days before the appointment, if I never would have found out you guys were closed I would have wasted my lab work! The one time I get a call from y'all it's to offer me a virtual appointment or to reschedule (I get this call the afternoon before the scheduled appointment), I had to tell her I've been trying to get a hold of y'all for weeks now to get my medicine refilled. She assured me she would let the Doctor know and would call me back to confirm this is taken care of. I never heard back! Called my pharmacy to see if they processed the refill and nope they still have not heard from the doctor! This is ridiculous. I know you guys are closed, but someone has to be responsible for first communicating in a timely manner to those patients with appointments in April that you guys have temp closed, and second respond and/or call back those who are reaching out to you. I need to get my medicine refills. And speak with the doctor in regards to my situation. Can someone please assist me with this! read more

Ok bear with me because this is long but these miracle workers deserve praise. I'm so glad that I found Dr. Ali and Acclaim Dermatology. My usual dermatologist couldn't get me in for weeks for an urgent skin problem. I needed to see him now, not in four weeks! Dr. Ali's staff was able to squeeze me in for a same day appointment, and the staff and Doctor were so friendly and helpful. Even though they squeezed me in, I didn't feel rushed, or like I was a bother. I've had that feeling elsewhere. They made sure my insurance covered the visit, and the medications were effective and inexpensive. Within a day I was getting better. I'm going to stick to this practice for all my skin needs from now on. I guess you learn how valuable you are to your doctor when you have a crisis. Dr. Ali was friendly, but I am having issues with the office staff and billing staff. I was incorrectly billed. For the last 3 weeks I have called the doctor's office 3 times and no one has resolved my issue. The first time I called they took my name and number and stated they would call me back. The employee stated something was coded improperly and they would email the employee responsible for billing. I waited a week and did not receive any call back. I called the following week and was placed on hold for 20 minutes and I gave up. I then called the number on my bill and she stated the issue had to be resolved in house. I called the doctor's office again and they took my name... again. The employee told me they person responsible was dealing with a patient and I would get a call back that day. Unfortunately I still have not received a call back.... and I am stuck with a bill that I should have never received. read more

I switched to Ali in the middle of a treatment from another dermatologist because the one i had couldnt care less about the patients. From the time i walked in, i knew i had made the right decision. Going to the front i was given a friendly greeting and asked if i was "name". The receptionist actually put the person on the phone on hold and gave me what i needed to fill out compared to other offices who just ignore you until theyre finished. I then sat on relaxing, high quality furniture that i wont even compare to the iron chairs at my old dermatologist office. The wait was short and even though i technically wasnt their patient, they didnt try to reschedule me because i didnt finish everything on my part, instead, multiple staff members assisted me to get my information transferred over all while having a pleasant conversation about random topics. Dr ali arrived shortly after and completed a thorough examination , gave me options, and education about treatment and even managed to get a prescription for free! If youre looking for a doctor who cares and wants to understand you, this is what youre looking for. read more

Literally a life saver. I was using another dermatologist for a while but switched insurances and was forced to try a new one. So thankful I found acclaim A mole I have always been worried about but was reassured by my last dermatologist that it was fine, came back severe here at acclaim. Y'all don't know my history. My mother died from skin cancer. She went in for a mole and it was too late. To think if I never changed insurance and continued going to my old doctor I may not be around to see my daughter grow up. Have been seeing this clinic for almost 2 years. Dr. Ali is great, very knowledgeable and experienced. Staff is very pleasant and polite. Started off with acne, scarring. Have been working on them slowly first with skin pen and then with profractional laser. I am getting my glow back :). Carrie is a great aesthetician. Always goes out of her way. If she notices something, she addresses it even if you may have missed it. Always friendly, pleasant. Usually do not wait for more than 5-15 minutes. Parking is easy. Clean, beautiful office. They offer a lot of services and I trust them with my skin because I have suffered for too many years and now I finally have been getting to the point where I am comfortable to go to work without make up! read more

Dr. Ali has been my dermatologist for the past four years. He has a wonderful pleasant personality. He listens and doesn't make me feel rushed. He explains procedures thoroughly so I am fully aware of what needs to be done. He has done botox for me in the past. He did a biopsy and subsequent removal of skin cancer on my arm. Very thankful I found this wonderful office, Dr. Ali and his amazing team truly go above & beyond for all of their patients. Initially I found them on Groupon, then purchased Botox injections, it was a gift from my sweet Sis for my 32nd birthday. I have been going to Acclaim Dermatology for 4 months now and I can honestly say that it is one of the best Dermatology Practices in Sugar Land. I suffered from severe acne throughout college which left scars and so I purchased 6 sessions of microneedling. I was given a discount since I bought a package series. Today is session 4/6 and I have been seeing results since my first session. Esthetician Carrie Busch is absolutely the best! I'm so thankful I found her. She's very knowledgeable and patient in explaining and answering questions. She will get the results that you want! She's honest and will advise you with her recommendation and not push other services down your throat unlike other clinics I've been to. She's kind and funny. The staff in Acclaim Dermatology are nice and very accommodating. I've had to change my appointments multiple times and they always worked with me, no complaints. ADVICE: A GOOD Dr. Listens to a patient, especially one who knows not only pharmaceuticals and has had decades of experience in the course of action they are trying to talk with you about. A course of action that is proven to work on that particular INDIVIDUAL. You do not tell the patient that you won't even look in the face of, that you know what works because you have years of experience IN GENERAL. A GOOD Dr knows that each individual is different and one size doesn't fit all. Also, if you have a course of action that works for an individual for YEARS because they have had good Drs that actually ENGAGE AND LISTEN to their patients instead of arrogantly tell them that none of that matters because you been doing this X number of years maybe you would learn something. You ate a Dr NOT God. Your arrogance is showing. Also I have no reason to lie on you, if you weren't such a crappy Dr I wouldn't waste time warning people about you. I am married to a GOOD Dr, I'm friends and family of GOOD Dr's and you my pet are NOT one. Get over yourself and try to learn something, all GOOD Drs know that they don't know everything, only quacks think they do. Now have a nice life! Very disappointed in the doctor. He left a scar on my cheek due to bad management of a acid (TCA). He is not good on follow up after procedures, and he definitely doesn't know how to give proper instructions. Constantly gets distracted by his phone while he is with patients.
