While this is the opposite of what we are accustomed to in Florida, customer service took care of us. Course is relatively a simple layout. Not a lot of water or hazards. It's a fun course but unfortunately, the greens had been sanded recently. Regardless, they rolled ok and the fairways were in decent shape. It was a very convenient location as we were heading back to Florida after our round. It's very close to I-95.

This is a great concept, as we spend to no end on drivers and technology and forget the costs associated with the golf balls. They have more head covers than any golf shop I have ever seen and a great amount of accessories. But, what I found most impressive was Jim, who re-gripped my irons and took a trade in on some wedges and woods I was looking to trade. Fair as fair can be, he worked with me and we came to a amicable agreement in a minute. I picked out shafts & grips, to go along with Callaway knock off heads. The clubs are great, I have played with them 3 times & they feel more comfortable each time. I got a quick chat in with him @ Bethpage Black Course 2002 U.S. Open. The course stretches to 6724 yards from the back (Okatie) tees with a rating of 71.9 and a par of 72, the course gets a good amount of play as it is in the Sun City complex, which is an enormous area. The course has about 50-60 bunkers, so if your bad in the sand, your safer than most other courses in the area. There is water on 12 holes so watch out for red stakes, The coolest hole on the course has to be #6, a 549-yard, par 5, featuring a double dogleg fairway, its really a fun hole. If and when you make it to the green, they are very fast and given the amount of play, they are in super shape.

Very accommodating, user friendly, open and spacious course with nice wetlands water hazards (watch…read morefor alligators). Sand dunes very forgiving and all in all one of the nicest DoD courses I've played. Son and I had a most pleasant 2 rounds the day after Thanksgiving. Very memorable indeed. Offered superb discount that resulted in a price of only $21/person for 18 holes (sans cart et clubs). Only comment I have is that the greens were wickedly fast, and it seemed no matter how soft the putts, we most always overshot the holes. We're thinking during the wetter months the greens would play more slowly. Free coffee and tea (small voluntary donation can) was an added bonus especially on the chilly 50 degree morning we played. If your travels bring you to Ft Stewart, and golf is in your blood, I'd recommend this course for sure. Mahalo nui loa for reading my review.
