Cam and lifter failure with metal in the oil. So i got hosed, 12k engine job i can't afford to do and a truck I can't really drive and making payments on. I had been shopping for a Stihl electric blower for weeks doing my research on the various models,…read morelength of battery times, miles per hour and so forth. This week I was ready to buy and tried at two different Ace Hardware stores who carry Stihl and displayed the model I wanted but had none in stock. My sister reminded me of our purchase of our Ferris riding lawnmower from Haltom, two years ago and that they carry Stihl too, so I headed that way. Sure enough they had the model, BGA 60, I was looking for in stock and an extra battery. While I waited, I browsed through their showroom. You can see from my photos posted here they have pretty much everything you need for landscape maintenance. I found a pair of lopers that will cut a 2¼ inch branch. They have really long handles to make it easy and they retail for only $78. After cutting grass at three different houses, I am happy with my purchase of the BGA 60 Stihl Blower. I like the four LED lights on the batteries with the push button to let you know how much of a charge is left. Also the blower will decrease a tad in power to let you the battery is almost done before it goes completely dead. That's a nice feature. I'm also glad I bought the extra battery since I'm responsible for cutting seven different yards.

I haf researched the different types of rust proofing and decided to go with Rust Check…read more The Rust Check material gets soaked into the metal as a opposed to a sealant type that coats the metal. The coating can chip and crack and moisture can get in. However, Rust Check does have to be treated several times like every 18 months. It takes about 45 to 50 minutes to treat and it does drip for several days afterwards so you just have to make sure you put some plastic or tarp down to protect the garage floor. So far so good. It's only my second application but it's worth it. I had a 20 year old Toyota van that was still running fine but it rusted out. I say it's worth it to protect you vehicle from the rust. The location is just a small operation, probably family owned. They are always nice and courteous.

Due to the low temperatures when I picked up the vehicle, I was not able to operate the top since the rear window is plastic. They informed me the top worked and to bring it back in the spring if it did not. I paid $460. I got the vehicle out of storage in May of 2025. The first time I operated the top, it did not work. I took the vehicle back in July 2025. They had the vehicle until December 2025. They gave up on the vehicle. I picked up the vehicle up in December 2025. The top still did not work. They had the vehicle a total of eight months and charged me for their time and I had a vehicle that did not work. Also while they had the vehicle the left rear window stopped operating. They wanted me to pay for the parts and labor to fix the window. When I dropped the vehicle off in July 2025 I had ¾ tank of gas. When I picked up the vehicle in December 2025 I had ¼ tank of gas. When I asked if the vehicle had been driven they stated it had not been driven. I then showed them photos of the gas gauge of when I dropped off the vehicle and when I picked it up. He stated he didn't know why the vehicle had been driven. I took my vehicle somewhere else and they fixed the issue in three days and did not take the vehicle for any joy rides.
