We recently bought a new 5th wheel from this camping world and worked with Christian who was great! He was patient with us and showed us several options and never made us feel pressured. I will say, when we came in to pick it up, it did take a while and we just sat around waiting for them to do an over view of the camper and then again to sign all the paperwork, so make sure you don't have any pressing plans on day of pickup. So far we haven't needed to use service department for anything just yet, but after reading some of these other reviews I really hope we don't run into any issues! read more

From the beginning, my husband and I were treated with a complete lack of respect. Our salesperson, Sherry, showed little interest in actually helping us. During the test drive, she even answered a sales call on her personal cell phone while sitting right next to us. In the middle of our appointment. During our test drive. It was rude, distracting, and incredibly unprofessional. What made the situation even worse was the so‑called "Manager" who tried to explain away mechanical issues. When we pointed out that the engine was missing, he told us this was "perfectly normal" and that a Class C motorhome is supposed to feel like a moving van. That explanation alone made it clear they either didn't know what they were talking about--or assumed we wouldn't know the difference. Neither one is acceptable. After deciding not to purchase, things still didn't improve. It took over two weeks for them to return our down‑payment check, and that was only after multiple calls and follow-ups from us. If I could give zero stars, I would. We purchased a brand new camper from this location, and it has been nothing short of a nightmare. From day one, the camper has been unusable because the slide-out was built too big -- a major manufacturer defect that somehow was never caught by Camping World during inspection. It took them over a month just to figure this out, and now the camper has to go back to the manufacturer. Meanwhile, we were supposed to move in full-time at the end of this month, and now we have no place to live because of their negligence. The buying process itself was filled with pressure tactics and a rushed, pushy sales approach, leaving us no time to properly review or feel comfortable with such a huge purchase. Camping World Greenfield was more interested in closing the deal than making sure we had a safe, livable product. Once they got the sale, the service and accountability completely disappeared. Horrendous service experience. Camping World had my RV for 3 months with no updates or communication, unless I initiated by phone call or email. Each time I was told I would have an update by X date, it never happened. I would have to reach back out each time. I was also given a list of excuses about why they are so backed up and the "system" is overtaxed and they are unable to keep up, etc, which I have sympathy for, but you just can't leave customers in the dark like this. I scheduled a 45 point inspection and roof inspection with a UV application $687 - keep in mind, my camper was in PERFECT working condition when we dropped it off. 4 weeks later, after multiple calls inquiring when it would be ready for pick up, I get this email: WO228915 I apologize for the delay with getting this email out to you. We had an advisor out sick so I am really behind. Our tech has looked over your camper and does have some additional recommendations on top of the few things you had asked. Please review below and advise if you would like to proceed with any of the recommendations. Forty -five point inspection came back over fairly good. Only a few things that was recommended with high alert. Drawer not closing properly would be $50.00 parts and labor Blind recommend to replace would $130.00 parts and labor Fridge service $139.99 (this is fire hazard as lots of debris) Water heater service $119.99 (this is fire hazard as lot of debris) Black tank flush and treat $250.00 Roof reseal $400.00 Clean and reseal around windows and trim $1300.00 We have completed the inspection and the roof maintenance and cleaning. -------------- Upon pickup, the inside was left a wreck, my tanks were full (of something) they were empty when it was dropped off; now my tanks will not drain at all. It was a pretty straightforward process and our main contact person, Mark Huey, was very helpful and quick to respond to any questions or concerns that we had. There were a couple of delays, the first deal fell through, but a second deal quickly followed and it was our bank that caused the delays. We purchased a new JayCo trailer last year. The trailer had several issues, all of which were covered under warranty. We dropped the trailer off months ago but when nothing had been completed by our first vacation so they put things back together well enough for the weekend. We returned the trailer several weeks ago and spoke to our Service Lead (Angel). We communicated that our next trip was on May 24th and were told it was no problem. My issue is that in the last week all communication has gone dead. No one answers the phone, returns calls, or reply to emails. It's not just that I own a trailer I can't use, we could work around that, but no one will talk to us. We are very calm and reasonable people. Gentleman: Before I start my saga of the new 2023 Sol Horizon, let me preface with this: This Sol is my third purchase in five years from Camping World. Also the service staff and for the sales staff at the Greenfield Ind. store are very nice people and provided what I believe was their best efforts. We have owned this coach for less than 72 hours. I drove 9 hours to pickup the new 2023 Sol Horizon, because of the price and availability. My wife and I planned an extended trip with business commitments along the way. The sales part of the transaction went smoothly. We completed the walk through and all seemed well. We stayed at the KOA next to the dealership for the first two nights to make sure everything was working. However, because the unit was winterized we did not see everything work. That wass our mistake. When we went to leave yesterday, we found several issues. We returned to the dealer ship and went through the issues for 2.5 hours, we needed to leave because of a commitment 4 hours away at our next stop. The staff got us right into the service area and attempted to diagnose the issue. BUT, shouldn't this have been tested prior to taking my money? Here are the issues in detail: 1) Refrigerator not working. EndelB model. When we returned to the dealer, it had a blown inline fuse replaced, tech said he could hear the compressor run so it seemed fixed. Now 4 hours away at the next stop, the fridge isn't working. 2) Water Heater, arrived at the next campsite, turned on the gas water heater, heard ignite, then heard a loud sound from the water heater and now it does not work on either gas or electricity. Tank was full of water. We did not use the first 2 nights, that's our mistake, but it's new and should work out of the box. 2) The coach also has no power when only connected to the battery. Appears the "kill switch" is defective. When plugged into shore power the coach only receives power when the switch is in off position. House lights work when plugged into my truck. Battery is new, tested at 11.7. Dealer didn't have a replacement switch. I found my sales rep and stated our issues and asked him if he could research my destination (Nashville) and find a Camping World to see if they had the part. He was busy making a new sale. He replied via text that since they were not an Intech dealer, they wouldn't have it in stock either. I called Intech and they stated it's just an off the shelf 12V power disconnect. We have no 12v outlet in the camper working currently. 3) Hot water Heater was never tested. When started, the pressure valve was faulty and had to replaced. This group charged 1500.00 for a non-negotiable Pre-Delivery Inspection and never discovered the 12 volt issue or the water heater. read more

Writing this review as I sit in my truck outside the business. Came here for a new hitch system and sway bars and water filtration. Looking to spend upwards of $500. Come in ask for assistance and am told to go the the parts counter. I go, no one is there. I stand there for 10 minutes with staff looking and walking right by me and no one asks if I need anything. I finally have to confront an employee and ask if there is someone that can help me. I'm told she's not sure where they are but she would check. Come back and am told he is on lunch and will be back in 45 min. I ask if there is someone else who can help me in looking to spend money. No one can help me she says. So I'll go some place else I say. I would expect a response like "well let me see who I can get to help you sir" but apparently they don't care. I have a feeling they make so much on overpriced campers they don't care much about part sales. Either way I'll be going to their competition now. Me and my husband bought a Forrest river from the Ky boat and rv show feb 2022. Once we got it home, realized the slide out did not work, so we took it to be fixed in march 2022 before we ever used it. It took them until July to get it fixed & I had to cancel 5 trips. We paid 34000 for this toy hauler , but only got to use it a few times last summer. Finally got it back, but the slideout still did not work right. I'm sure it is a lemon and they have my camper and my money. We took it back up to Greenwood dealer to get it fixed again & they have had it since dec 27, 2022. Last we heard (weeks ago), it still has not got it fixed and now they won't email or call us back. Even though they did not have the hitch we needed in a moment of chaos when our hitch ripped out of our truck on I-65 in the midst of tow. We were embraced and treated like family. It was Sunday and we could not find a wrecker to tow our rv from the highway. They helped us find a wrecker and offered us to stay in their parking lot over night while we found the part we needed to be able to pull our rv again. Great experience working with Bill Love when purchasing my barely used 2022 Entegra Ethos Li. However, there is a large punch list of items I provided to Camping World. I have had no response. This includes missing items such as a tire jack and all user manuals. After two weeks there has been no meaningful response. Also, after owning for about a month I contacted manufacturer to transfer ownership, this was not done by dealer nor was it suggested by Camping World. I cannot charge my Li batteries and hoping for answers and or the owners manuals. I have Good Sam tech researching battery issue and hope to hear back. One star is far too many for this place. They will sell you a camper but buyer beware if you need it serviced, it is an absolute nightmare. We should have listened to others but we didn't and now we are paying for it. We had an insurance claim on our camper that occurred in late July 2022. I called camping world and they stated they would get me in ASAP due to the insurance needs. I am thinking great, starting off good here. I am told my appointment to have it dropped off and looked at is Aug 6 2022. We keep our camper on a seasonal lot and the damage was not something that would have prevented us from camping but thought if they can get in and turned around quickly that would be fantastic. I arrive Aug 6 2022 to drop off my camper thinking they will do the walk through and see if there is any damage we missed from the pictures. I am told oh no sir, this appointment is simply to drop it off, it will be 10-14 days before we can look at it but rest assured we are not even taking 10 days. Charles or Charlie, which ever he goes by, assured me he would call at least once a week to provide updates. So I leave my camper there, 2 weeks go by I hear nothing from my rep. I call to get an update, they have not looked at it. Another 2 weeks go by, still nothing, I call, they haven't looked at. Remind you i could have been using my camper during this period of time in my lot. Late Sep I go in and talk to Angel, apparently she is the head of the service department. She assures me they will do the walk through that day and call me. That doesn't happen so I call the next day. They ramble off exactly what is on the insurance claim that I placed with the pictures however we found further damage as we investigated that they didn't even mention. So I am walking them through the damage and have no confidence they even looked at it at this point. Finally at the end of Sep my rep submits the adjusted insurance claim. I call my insurance a few days later to find they didn't file it correctly so now I have to walk Charles through now to submit the claim. Once submitted correctly my insurance approved it and cuts a check within 48 hours. So now we are into Oct, 2 months after dropping it off and I actually get a call from my rep, about passed out in disbelief. The parts should be in Oct 22nd. Great I have a date finally. Date comes and goes no word. Note I call weekly if not more. Finally early November I am told the parts are in but it won't be before Christmas before they can repair it. Really!! I call mid Dec to get an update, my rep is not available so the gentleman that takes the calls opens my account to see if he can provide and update. He then states oh I see it's in for lot damage and pending parts, I respond no, it's in for an insurance claim and waiting on labor but please explain this lot damage. Hey wouldn't you know my rep magically appears and takes my call. So apparently camping world damaged my camper moving it around and never thought to contact me and inform me of this. I truly don't believe they ever would have told me if that gentleman hadn't mentioned lot damage. So now, Jan 19 2023 I am waiting on parts to fix what they damaged. They were great to tell me there would be no charge for the parts or repairs, you think? I mean wow, did me a solid on fixing what you damaged, what an absolute joke. So at the moment over 5 months still no camper. How badly do I dislike this place, we are in the process of trading this one in simply so I can get away from Camping World. 1. We recently purchased a $1500 dollar hitch on-line to be sent to the store for pick up. Our on-line order was cancelled by them because they had 1 in stock at the store. However our credit card was still charged for on-line order. Once we got to the store to pick up the hitch as well as the camper we bought, we had to pay for the hitch again because they provided documentation that our on-line hitch order was getting credited to our account. 4 weeks later still no credit. I have called customer service daily for 3 weeks. Every phone calls results the same. We are aware there is an issue with your refund and we are trying to fix it. I have spoken to at least 4 supervisors with no results. I have been told every phone call that "we will be in touch in the next 24 hours with a solution. NO ONE HAS EVER CALLED!! I have demanded a check with no results. My lawyer is now involved! 2. The day my husband picked up camper he was alone, not one person came out to assist him or guide him in backing his truck up to hook up. THey showed him where it was and away they went. They don't care about anything getting you more upgrades and selling you something you do not need and they lie to you by saying that it's the law that they have to put electric trailer brakes on your vehicle for you to take your trailer off the property which is a lie in all the states I have checked with when I press them in the back paddled and said well it's our policy that was step one Camper bought has too many items for me to list with the vents working properly. The door didn't close properly no caulking around the shower. I had to do that luckily I own a construction company and it only took 32 hours man hours with my guys to get the thing where it was livable. I bought my trailer in Michigan. I live in Baltimore when I contacted the local dealers in the Baltimore corridor through Richmond Virginia they all told me will bring it in So they could work on it, and I would always ask how long would that take the answer was always several months before we can get it that's they don't wanna do anything because they know it might cost them money so they just put you off knowing that you're gonna get it fixed yourself or pay someone else to do it luckily, I was able to do everything that I needed to do or my people were. what amazes me is Mark the owner and CEO of Camping World has a stellar reputable reputation in the business world. Were you bought an entry-level trailer? Which to this day that response amazes me it doesn't matter. I was not there and even told them I was not concerned with money. I was paying cash. I just wanted a small 20 foot or less trailer that I could tow behind any of my 1500 series pick ups with no problem, nobody mentioned because it's an entry correspondent to phrase built crap and we don't care which, apparently in my opinion was exactly what they meant. Bought a pop up from them. their sales add said "Cleanest pop up you'll find has AC furnace lots of outdoor storage in the front and on side two spare tires pretty firm but I'm open on offers!! ". It was set up when we looked at it but was told we couldn't pick up till the next day after they did their sales inspection. It was closed up when we picked it up and was told every thing was good. Get it home and went to set it up to pack for our first trip and it wouldn't open. Contacted them and was told we could bring it back and pay them to fix it. That should have been my first red flag but nope I ignored that. I make the appt and drive an hour and a half to see it. I brought my husband with me and I was told we'd be shown the camper in the "VIP showroom" which is apparently just the heated garage with the technicians sitting around in RV chairs shooting the crap. This building looks nothing like the ads I've ever seen for Camping World. I like the trailer that is advertised at $13,999. I tell them that I'd like to discuss the purchase. When we get inside suddenly the price is $19090. They added on $5000 of miscellaneous fees and attempt to tell you that's just normal stuff. This is the point where I should have just walked out. But I'm a first time buyer and I'm dumb. I tell them I want to think about things and discuss it with my banker. They tell me they can finance me there and they "never" have had anyone go through their bank before because they have such great rates (do not trust them). I literally dared them to get me a better rate. They failed to win that bet. They try to get you to get their RV insurance, call your own insurance first. Do not just take theirs. They will lie to you. They did to me. I was lied to multiple times by the sales team. I called the deal off because of the lies I caught them in and called them out on. Drove the 3 hours to pick it up to be told we had wait over an hour for it to be driven to the front. Repairs were NOT done! TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE AFTER PURCHASE!!!!!!! CW, thanks for the typical "We are sorry" reply but you should have gotten it right in the first place! I already contacted your corporate customer service and you know what they did to "Make it right"? NOT A DAMN THING. A couple of "I'm sorry" phone calls and "We will address the issue" comments does not change the fact that your employees FAILED to provide customer service to an out of town stranded traveler and then shouted at me when I asked for a manager. EPIC FAILURE! Now that I'm finally back home in Arizona, I still have to wait until mid-November for an appointment at my local CW. This dealership is the worst. My friend went in and purchased a fifth wheel three days ago. He referred me to the salesman and we worked a deal on a couple models. I went to a couple local dealers and every one said Camping World was a bunch of crooks and would jack up the price at the end, but I felt like my salesman was honest and wouldn't do any tactics like that. We ended up agreeing on the exact same trailer that my friend purchased and he offered me the same price on it so I agreed and provided my credit card for a deposit. I ordered and paid for the hitch, arranged travel from San Antonio to Indianapolis, made sure my son had approved time off from his soccer academy, lined up coverage for my shop and filled out my credit application. One hour before close my salesman told me I should buy the other unit I was looking at ($7k more) because he wouldn't honor the price any longer. I would have to pay $1500 more for the same trailer. One of their managers called me to discuss, and offered to try and get the same price for me but said he would have to call me back. Never even had the decency to honor that bit. I now understand why everyone warned me about them. They lived up to every expectation that was set forth. I was planning to spend money on accessories and all kinds of stuff. They've now lost a customer for life. Add on: Spoke with a super nice lady from corporate named Amy who spoke with the sales manager there Jeff. He still declined to honor the price saying it was only valid for last month. I stand by my review and feelings. These guys are awful, stay away. read more

We spent a lot of time researching Campers and decided to go with Jayco. Looked for dealers with a good selection and Camping World was the closest. We go on a Saturday which was clearly a mistake. We assumed that since we scheduled an appointment that we would work with a sales person until we decided on a a purchase. Unfortunately the sales people are spread thin and work with several clients at the same time and bounce around. We finally make it on the lot and start looking. Everything is parked so close you can barely get in some of them. There is no power to any of them so no checking out anything electronic. We already knew what we wanted and did enough research that it was annoying but not a deal breaker. So we purchase our trailer new and did a walk around. The walk around seemed good actually until we get it home and find so many thing were left out. We were told it would be detailed and ready to go for us later in the week and they would go through the hooking up process then. We call Wednesday morning to confirm it would be ready that evening they said yes. We get there and was told it was in the corner we can go find it and just hookup and leave. No walk through hookup after all. So after searching we find it. It had never been detailed. Still had footprints all over the floors from every one who looked at it previously. Frustrated my fiance goes to speak with them while I go to hook it up. But the battery was dead. I had to Google how to lower it manually. Once I lower it and hook it up I pull it out to inspect the exterior for damage and notice no paper plate. I was then told it would be emailed to me and I'd have to print it. The sales manager offered to have it detailed and delivered or a $250 gift card. I was told it was just a bit dirty so I choose the gift card and just wanted to leave. So once home we discovered it would only run on shore power. After hours of Google and Facebook group questions we found it was missing a fuse. A run to the store and finally, power. But it gets better. We then proceed to hook it up and it was still winterized. We had to Google how to properly flush it all out. Get that done and realize there is no hot water pressure to the kitchen sink. That problem still isn't fixed. We spent just over $30K on this brand new travel trailer and this is the service that we received. I'm sure I'm forgetting a few things but this literally the worst buying experience of our lives. We have bought houses, cars, ATVs, trailers etc and have never endured anything close to this nightmare. This treatment should be illegal. If I could rate this company less than one star, I would do it. Our sales representative was amazing, but everything else beyond that was a complete joke. They titled my camper in the name of my cosigner, not me, creating a complete headache because my cosigner lives in Ohio not Indiana where I live. This has created a complete mess in terms of the titling. Furthermore, when I picked up my camper, everyone on site acted like they had no idea who I was even though I dropped $25,000 on a new RV from their store. They have been completely unhelpful since then. It seems as though they love taking your money, but once they receive it, you are on your own. Save yourself the trouble, and buy an RV from anywhere, but this store. read more

They have reduced the store with supplies and accessories by more than half, adding a ton of offices for sales people, which were all empty, so why do they need them? Stupid, other camping stores have more stuff now than them, so I won't be back. read more
