It is is a church affiliated business and proceeds are used to support the local population. People who staff and run this place are certainly genuine. The space is huge and offers a wide assortment of finds whose prices and way below those founds in other 'thrift' stores. I highly recommend adding this place to your weekly shopping for thrift stores treasures; especially since the money goes to such a great cause.

They actually have some pretty nice items and are super cheap. For instance my daughter got a super nice and fancy dress and some dress shoe for $7. When she put it on she looked like she was about to go to a prom. So you can't beat that pricing. As mentioned it is super crowded so if tight spaces and clutter bother you then this place will trigger you. It does have a cigarette stench. Not sure if current owners or past owner smokes or smokes like a chimney but there a permanent smell in there that may be off putting Overall it's a cute and cool little thrift shop with plenty of options and can't beat pricing. This trip included a couple of awesome jackets, including a UL zip up perfect for our student. What stood out for me this trip was the staff. We were pleasantly greeted upon entering and wished a good night before leaving. The team engaged with each other and customers with respect. Left today for only $50! This spot is going to make some folks anxious or turned off to dig through bins but we are here for it.

With that I am noticing an uptick in pricing and some decor feels out of alignment now, making it too close to retail pricing for me to take it home. We always find a few things at Re-Tail and it continues to be one of our favorite thrift shops to visit. Service is friendly and welcoming, and we love the rewards program implemented. Street parking. Make sure to watch signage in J-Town that outlines restricted times.

I am all about thrift shops, especially one whose proceeds go to the Animal Care Society, a non-kill/non-profit organization that gives second chances to Louisville animals in need. I wish that I had known about this wonderful shop when we adopted a puppy last year. There are so many items for pets in the shop, and most look brand new. We could have obtained our pup's collar, harness, food/water bowls, leash, and cute sweater here for less than half of what we paid retail!! In addition to pet-related items, there are household items, home decor items, linens, toys, books, clothing, shoes, jewelry, and much more. I'm certain that there would be new treasures to see with each visit due to continuing donations. The shop is clean, odor-free and well-organized. The lady who checked us out was so very kind and told us about their program that allows for a $5 off coupon after a certain amount of purchases. This thrift shop is a hidden gem and I will be donating my items here from now on, so that I can support the animals, and I know that I will be a frequent flyer perusing the goods for that item that I didn't know I needed!

The prices here are way more expensive than they should be my other reviews on the $1 aisle shampoo from Dollar General, half empty with someone else's shower crust on the outside of it for $3.99 will tell ya that! Goodwill, you're anything but good. You exploit people who donate, vulnerable employees and your customers all day everyday and now you threaten them too!! On our visit they had several cool season decorations for fall and the upcoming Halloween holiday. My oldest daughter actually got herself a couple Halloween themed ear rings. Yesterday I walked inside this location for the first time as my oldest daughter wanted to "browse" for shirts. Which we all know teenagers don't "browse" they "want". There isn't an detours or turning around it's so tightly packed in there. Selection is what it is. It's a DAV that as many know they work with what donations they receive. So you kinda have to walk in with an open mind unless clothes shopping. But even then I wouldn't anticipate being to specific. All in all a typical DAV store. This one is kinda smallish or maybe it just felt that way just because it was anxiety inducing cramped in there.
