21-hour smoked brisket, yes please! Now, I might be new here, but I know what I like. I walked in the room and the aroma made my whole body tense up in anticipation. I was practically gnawing at the air on my way in. I admit a quick small squeal squeaked out as I approached the steaming meats selection. I asked for "just a bit, please" and was encouraged to try the whiskey sauce. I did drizzle that on there! When I settled in my seat I picked around my other treats first, so as to save what I hoped was the best for last. The brisket. My first bite caused my eyes to shoot wide open, just so flavorful and warm how it comes! Second bite, with sauce. I took a slightly larger bite than before. I knew what was coming! But that sauce, I was not expecting! A kick of flavor I've never witnessed before... I was clawing my way towards my third bite! I did manage to savor this one a little longer, really hitting my stride for the meal. It was then my mother informed me "Food before one is just for fun!" as she finished the rest for herself, offering me a slice of bell pepper to gum on in place of that delicious meat. I had never had an event catered before, so I was stressing about it all. Not only was Cindy willing to work with me to find my best menu, but she was willing to bend almost backward to give me what I wanted. This was in stark contrast to almost all other catering companies I looked at who had a rigid menu with small customization options to choose from. If I had not needed so much extra, her price would have been well below her competition. As it was, with all the additions I needed, I paid as much as I would have for a menu from somewhere else and not gotten everything I needed. To say the food was good would be a massive understatement. The home-cooked quality of the food followed them from Texas and was to die for. From the succulent brisket and chicken, to the surprising bacon-wrapped water-chestnuts, to the awesome sides. (of which we got four!) It was so nice to know that our food needs were taken care of, and so deliciously so, to clear the way for us to enjoy our party worry-free. P.S. She even was willing to make a separate appetizer for our guest who is picky, and even brought enough food that we were able to feed a surprise guest. Cindy catered a luncheon to celebrate our Dad's 80th birthday. We asked her to make corned beef and cabbage, potatoes, carrots, yeast rolls, and a green salad, as well as pecan, cherry, and peach pies. Even though she had never made corned beef before, she was willing to give it a try. We didn't get what we expected...we got much more! She informed us that since she is a southern girl, she never boils meat, so she roasted it. It was the most tender corned beef I have ever had and the flavor was out of this world! For never having eaten or made this dish before, she knocked it out of the park! Her green salad was fresh and interesting with additions of craisins, croutons and sunflower seeds to a variety of greens, tomatoes and sliced peppers. The rolls were baked fresh as were the pies and both tasted fabulous. Cindy made a ton of food and we enjoyed the left-overs just as much as we did the first time. We were very impressed with how willing she was to go out of her way to learn to make this meal that she had no previous experience with. Cindy provided the catering last month for a baby shower I hosted. Cannot say how much I appreciated her professionalism; prompt responses; suggestions; and the food was EXCELLENT. The pulled pork sliders were moist and tasty; people fought over the deviled eggs; and some of us just stood next to the sweet potato/avocado/bacon bits appetizers until they were gone. We also had the honey sriracha chicken skewers; salad; I could go on....AND THEN to top it off - Homemade banana cream pie and a lovely home made strawberry pie. More than enough food to feed 20 guests (OK - I snuck some in the fridge for leftovers, too..). Cindy and her husband, who helped retrieve serving pieces afterwards, are delightful people who made us feel like family. I will never use anyone else. Tell everyone.... read more

We knew what we wanted to feed our guests at my daughter's wedding. We bought some ingredients to try making pinwheel sandwhiches. Nope! The taste was great, but they were not presentable. And for how many people we had to feed.... NOPE AND NOPE!! I did not have the time either since the wedding was at our house. We had a lot of work to do. I found Cindy's kitchen online and texted her what we were looking to buy. She helped us decide the quantity. She sent me a quote. On the wedding day, Cindy personally arrived with the pinwheels right on time. She was professional, easy to work with, communication was great, and the huge trays of pinwheel sandwiches looked amazing. Excellent service and Delicious food as always! This was the third time we've hired Cindy's Kitchen Catering. This time was for my mom's memorial service. Cindy is easy to work with on menu planning and easily accommodated our request for 30 more dinner's the week before the event. She also willingly prepared our mom's chocolate pie filling recipe as one of the desserts. With Cindy handling all of the meal details we didn't have to worry about the reception following the service. Cindy catered my retirement luncheon for 50 people. I chose her from a previous even that i attended that she catered. Cindy was very timely in communication, flexible in developing the menu, helpful in suggestions and removed the uncertainty of planning the event. Cindy arrived well ahead of schedule, provided an impressive, well organized display of the luncheon choices and ample servings. She cleaned up and was gone with minimal assistance despite the event occurring on the second floor of a building with no elevator. It was a great experience. Cindy's Kitchen catered two meals for our dog club event with 45 people. Cindy and her husband made some wonderful box lunches with good sandwiches, chips, drinks and homemade (really tasty!) cookies. They accommodated several of our group who needed gluten or dairy free options. Then they set up a fantastic taco bar for one of our dinners - everything you could possibly want for your taco or burrito - pork or chicken, cheese, beans, lettuce and tomatoes, sour cream, etc. The dinner was topped off with a variety of homemade pies for dessert. I recently enjoyed a catered BBQ meal that was absolutely wonderful! The perfectly smoked brisket and juicy pork were the stars of the show but a close second was the perfectly tangy bbq sauce! The sides recommended by Cindy did not disappoint either, we went with baked beans, potato salad, macaroni and cheese, and cornbread muffins. The meal also included three different desserts; lemon bars chocolate raspberry mouss and brownie! The attention to detail in presentation and the professionalism made the experience even better. I attended a family wedding this weekend and the food was amazing. I like pulled pork and I have never had better. However, I am not a barbecue sauce fan but decided to try their homemade connection. It was wonderful! The bride and groom talked about how easy they were to work with and they live out of state. The hot food was hot and the cold food cold. They even made a to-go box for a nephew unable to attend. They are so lovely; you can tell they do this because they want to make others feel special on special occasions. read more

We recently went to a wedding where Cindy's Kitchen Catering was served. It was amazing! The brisket tender and chicken so delicious!! But the star of the show was the potato salad. Now my mama made the best potato salad. She was from the south and a most amazing cook. Theses days, I usually don't even try potato salad at an event.
