Scooters Custom Catering goes above and beyond!!!! I got married March 15, 2014 and Scooters did more than I could have ever imagined. From the day I met Cindy (At the Tacoma bridal show in 2013) their professionalism and service was absolutely fantastic. I highly recommend!! We went with an Italian type menu and got raving reviews from guests. 5 cheese macaroni w/balsamic vinaigrette topping, blackened salmon pasta, penne pasta w/red sauce, meatballs, mild/hot sausage with peppers, assorted breads and focaccias, and ceasar salad. Every single dish they prepared was mouth wateringly amazing!! I met with Scooter & staff on multiple occasions, tastings, venue walk through, rehearsal run through, you name it. If i wanted them there, they showed up with huge smiles and not a question more!! Cindy even went above and beyond and wrapped all of our silverware in the napkins I provided (at no additional cost!). Their email and phone correspondence was absolutely up to par as well. I heard that there was a family at our wedding that had been on the go all day and had hungry kids (before the buffet was ready to open) and that Scooters was more than accommodating to their needs!! Again, I can't even begin to tell how amazing working with Scooters was. I first found out about this catering service at the seattle bridal expo and signed up to receive more information from them. Cindy reached out to me pretty soon after via email and we then had a phone call consultation to talk about what I wanted for my wedding. She let me know she would put together a proposal estimate for me and get that sent over for my review. Three weeks went by and I didn't hear from her, so I sent her an email to follow up and check in on the status of my estimate. After a few days, I called them because Cindy never responded to my email and I left a voicemail with my name and phone number. No one ever called me back. It has now been over two weeks since I emailed and called to follow up, still no response. It is really disapointing because I really thought I had found a good caterer. Not so much. read more

Scooter's catered our recent wedding and did a fantastic job. The food was delicious and received multiple compliments. The family style service was perfect for our small wedding and they handled all the details with minimal intervention from me. Day of service was helpful but unobtrusive, and it was great how Scooter himself announced the dishes in great detail. We hired Scooters Custom Catering for our wedding and could not have been happier that we did. A big part of the reason we hired Scooter's was because they were one of the very few catering companies that would roast a pig for our wedding without contracting out. We went in for tasting and Scooter prepared pig for us try in several variations, plain, with sauces on the side or with sauces cooked on. Once we signed the contract the exceptional levels of customer service did not change. As we got closer to the wedding we had more contact with Scooter and his team. We don't have an exact count, but we would say Scooter was out at our venue (a private residence) 4 or 5 times prior to the wedding. He found out where we wanted things to be setup and worked with the rental company that we had selected to get all the tables, dishes, silverware, etc. Anything that we asked them to do for us was met with a "sure we can do that" answer. We set up one of our tables how we wanted, and they did the rest. Scooter's team set up all of our tables exactly like the demo. Not only did they set up the tables prior to the wedding, they were also willing to help us out by moving all the chairs from the ceremony area to the reception area so the wedding party or guests didn't have to. Scooter's team did a lot of work behind the scene, they were always there when needed, but otherwise went unnoticed. A final great thing about Scooter was that he had integrity. He was a man of his word, if there were charges on a quote that should not have been on there, he would go through his notes and make adjustments to the quotes so that they matched with what we were told during our discussions. Scooter's is a small business and you definitely get the small business feel. By that I mean that your business truly is important to them, and they are willing to do what it takes to make your experience enjoyable. We would recommend Scooter's to anyone who needs a caterer for an event, big or small. read more

We used Scooters to cater our wedding this past weekend and everything was perfect. The food was amazing, and we ended up having extra to bring home and have a party the next day. The wait staff seemed to do a great job (I was so busy the whole time I never even made it up to the bar) but everyone seemed to enjoy themselves. I worked with Cindy to set everything up and she was so flexible with my dad and I- she probably changed our proposal a million times without ever complaining or being short with us. During the tasting, Scooter makes enough food for you to take with you and try again the next day to make sure you really like his cooking. Michael came to the wedding and cut the brisket- he was so sweet and talked with the guests to make sure they enjoyed their food and talked to my dad to make sure he was happy. At the end of the evening he talked with my husband and I to make sure we were happy as well. Overall I am so happy we decided to use this caterer and would highly recommend this business to anyone who is looking for outstanding BBQ! read more

Scooter's Custom Catering catered our wedding last weekend, and I cannot say enough good things about them! Scooter and Cindy were easy to work with and their professionalism and experience really helped us as we were making decisions about what to have at our wedding. They provided not only the food and service, but also most of the items required for the set up at our venue (tent, tables, chairs, plates...). Everything turned out perfectly and they were well prepared. People came up to us after the wedding to tell us that Scooter's food was great and like nothing they had ever had at a wedding before. We went with Scooter's Customer Catering based on a recommendation from our venue Rein Fire Ranch. Cindy, Scooter and Mike were great to work with and were able to take our idea "things on sticks" (appetizers vs. dinner) and put together a menu that people are still talking about a week later. Our wedding was pretty casual, hoping more for everyone to have a good time and be comfortable, and the food helped make the environment happen. We ended up with a total of 8 different appetizers, plus cheese and fruits - and every single one that I had was delicious. Multiple people went back through the line again since the food was so good - and every single comment I got was extremely positive. Scooter's is a three man team and because they are amazing, they are blowing up a bit and are pretty busy. Cindy is very good at following up, but it may be a little longer than within 15 minutes (which is really okay.) Trust me - their team was responsive, worked around my work hours and ensured that everything was perfect for our wedding day. read more

Scooter's catered my wedding on Sunday September 14, 2014. Let me start off by saying they were awesome. From the first time we met Cindy at the Seattle bridal show to the the food tasting with Scooter to the day of our wedding. Cindy was always there to help us with any questions. She was very flexible and her staff goes above and beyond to make sure your day is perfect. The food was awesome. Our menu consisted of tossed greens, rolls, seasoned fresh veggies, horseradish mashed potatoes, blackened chicken penne, London broil and my absolute favorite Salmon with Dill sauce. (Sooooo Gooood). We barely had any leftovers. Great caterer, great price, great staff and great food. Would recommend them any day of the week. read more

In a word - WOW! We couldn't have been more pleased with the job Scooter, Cindy, Michael and Shelly did for us for our house warming bash! Based on the reviews here I contacted Scooter's and selected a menu without taste testing anything. We were slightly nervous but had faith that yelp reviewers wouldn't let us down. Cindy was amazing to work with, getting the menu to meet our budget and arranging the services. Michael and Shelley showed up on time and ready to rock - and boy did they. First, the food was outstanding! Every single thing on the menu was superb. The Mac and Cheese was the hit of the party. But my favorite was the baked beans. Yum! MIchael was simply delightful during the party. He stood behind the serving line and described the dishes to our guests, all the while keeping the line stocked. Shelley was a phenom as a server, clearing plates and keeping all the guests happy. We had quite a few leftovers, so they packed up individual servings in to go containers that we provided which we offered to guests as they left. That was a complete HOMERUN! Our guests were thrilled they could take more home. We simply can't say enough words of praise for this local caterer. Your party will be a complete success when you hire these fine folks! read more

I contacted Scooter's about 75days before my sons reception. I didn't really know what we were looking for but Cindy helped me figure it out. She is so organized and experienced she gave me so many options and all the pros and cons of each. Real china or disposable? Diet restrictions for paleo, gluten free, dairy free, yikes so many things to consider. In the end we decided on a beef dish, chicken, dish, non-starchy vegetable and starchy vegetable. The bid also included fresh baked rolls and pasta salad. Communication was top notch. There was a delay the day of our event due to a power outage and by the time I went to call them to find out where they were I had already received a text message apologizing for the delay and with the current ETA. I was a bit worried about ordering the food without doing a tasting first but I relied on the previous yelp reviews. The food was delicious! The beef tenderloin was so tender you could cut it with your fork and it melted in your mouth. My friends were still raving about the food days later and one even wondered if she could just order their pasta salad for weekly delivery. I didn't try the rolls but my friends said they were incredible. The portions were large. We planned for 100 people many of our guests were no shows and ultimately we had 60-75. We had lots of food left over which was awesome as the families got together the next night to watch the couple open gifts. It was nice to have dinner already prepared and it was just as tasty the second night. read more

Usually wedding food is memorable because it is so bad, well that is not the case with the AMAZING meal Scooter's Custom Catering provided. All of my guests told me this was the best wedding food they have ever had and I couldn't agree more. I know the bride and groom don't typically get to eat, but once we had our tasting and I tried Scooter's BBQ and mac & cheese, I knew I wasn't going to miss that on my wedding day and we didn't. Scooter's not only brought an incredibly friendly team to manage the buffet but they were all so sweet and made up plates for us so that we got to eat during the reception, and even packed up boxes to-go at the end of the night. Cindy and her team were a dream throughout the planning process, always taking my calls no matter how frequent, was willing to work with us to incorporate fresh green chile into the menu for my New Mexico-raised husband, and even randomly checked in just to see how I was doing. We were also able to hire our bartenders through Scooter's and it made the entire food/drink portion of the wedding something I didn't even need to stress about. The food was almost outshined by the incredible team...almost. Nothing beats that pulled pork and mac & cheese!
