I honestly was looking so forward to watching a movie in the first time in a while but was i so suprised to see how absolutely disgusting it is here! I came here to watch a punjabi film called ChardiKala. Once i came i saw how flilty and grimy the seats were. Literally so disgusting and disappointing! I had a mixed experience here, let me start with the good. I enjoyed the Samosas and Bhel Puri here, they were a notch above the quality you would usually expect ordering real food at a movie theater. I also LOVED the red cushy reclining seats, I personally didn't think they were any dirtier than your average movie theater seats unlike some other reviews. My group was seated in the second row from the screen for a 4 hour movie and were still able to view it comfortably since the recliners went so far back. Now onto the negatives, I have to agree with other reviewers that the staff is not the most warm and welcoming, but my bigger issue is that you can book your tickets/seats online and pay a convenience fee for that, but then you don't have the convenience of simply shifting your seat online OR over the phone. I had to stop by here in person earlier in the same day of my movie just to move my party's seats. Overall, in the big picture, I have to appreciate that this is a special place unlike any other theater in terms of the vibes of being immersed in Bollywood. I would simply caution moviegoers to not expect a luxurious experience or treatment. read more

Seats are not numbered correctly. My group of 4 had to sit right in front of the screen due to incorrect and missing numbering. The manger told us to count the seats and ignore the incorrect numbering. Neither refund nor a simple apology was offered. I recently visited this theater, and unfortunately, it was a disappointing experience. I came to know about this theater through Groupon, but it certainly didn't live up to expectations. The seats were absolutely terrible--red-colored sofas that were not only uncomfortable but seemed worn out and poorly maintained. They probably got those sofas from craiglist or some recycling center. The viewing experience was so subpar that I genuinely felt I would have had a better time watching the same movie on my sofa at home. It's a shame because a movie theater should offer a premium experience, and this one completely missed the mark. I hope the management considers upgrading the seating and overall ambiance to provide a more enjoyable visit for future patrons. Until then, I won't be returning. P.S. I would rather watch the same movie on my sofa at home than visiting this theatre. read more

This is a horrible place to go to enjoy a good movie. The red sofas are not very well maintained, and is full of dirt and gunk. The cinema's quality was also horrible, and once we asked for a refund for a movie, but they said no because the movie was a premiere movie, which they had never stated when we bought the ticket. I have been going to the theater for the last couple of years with a medical alert service animal with no issues. However, this week I was denied entry due to the service animal. All of a sudden the staff at the theater changed the rules and I was asked for documentation because someone complained that there was a medical alert service animal in the theater. However, by ADA law you can not ask for documentation. I have never been asked to provide documentation since it is against the law, so I do not carry around the documentation. The following clip is from the government ADA website: In situations where it is not obvious that the dog is a service animal, staff may ask only two specific questions: (1) is the dog a service animal required because of a disability? and (2) what work or task has the dog been trained to perform? Staff are not allowed to request any documentation for the dog, require that the dog demonstrate its task, or inquire about the nature of the person's disability. As a result, I feel I was discriminated against for having a medical alert service animal. I was not allowed to see the movie. It looks like the establishment does not follow the laws. I strongly believe the staff needs to be better trained in regard to ADA law. I do own multiple business in the Bay Area and extremely knowledgeable with ADA law and ADA code violations which I noticed in the establishment. Sometimes it is best to handle this type of situation with the US Department of Justice Civil Rights Division and then let that first step spiral to further ADA investigations that may include website, operations, and building code violations in regard to ADA matters. read more

I come here to watch regional movies mostly (indian) and the screens are almost always running behind by 30 min on an average. And isn't the first time. I gave it 3 chances before I am here. For example, I'm supposed to be in movies right now as it is a 5.40 and we are 20 min behind already. We came to watch a kids movie hoping that it will be on time. Horrible... the staff needs to know how to treat the customers and more so when they come with a service animal as they caught us by surprise when they refused us as we had a service dog who is much needed being a medical alert dog for me and the lady there was simply obnoxious and asking for the card as they don't even have the right to ask since the dog had his harness and tag on him. I simply did not wait for the cops to come as they would take a while but will take this matter for legal intervention soon !! This establishment has been the first one to have refused a service animal and then the lady didn't even want to refund the money till I put my foot down !! Uncomfortable seats. Bad screens and stupid ads. There are recliners but they are so uncomfortable as they are worn down. The cushion is all work down. A seat in row B in Screen 1 has been broken for months. They stopped the upkeep. Watching a movie makes a painful experience here. The screens are littered with "dead pixel" like artifacts sometimes interfering with the movie. Next the ads. This is March for movies sakes and these guys still play "Merry Christmas" ads. The same ads Everytime. I watch 2 to 3 movies here every week and it is getting unbearable. But to watch Indian movies, this is the only reliable cinema. Cinemark has a lot of Telugu movies but other language movies, this is the only reliable place to go to. I guess I will give 2 stars for that. read more

It was clear that the padding was either missing or of very poor quality, which made sitting for any length of time unpleasant. I come here all the time with my family to watch Indian movies. This is an Indian owned theater, so most of their customers are Indian. They offer only two Indian snacks such as egg patty's and samosa. Yet, they don't have any chutney to go with this. Instead they offer ketchup! That's like having fries with mayo. The reason I'm leaving a review after being here so many times is not because I was judged the minute I walked in or because their bathrooms and recliner seats are extremely foul or that I had to wait 30 mins to be seated, but because the lady at the counter was rude asf! I asked which way the theater was and she repeatedly said "it's not ready, you'll have to wait". I heard you the first time. Obviously you didn't hear me! This place is full of problems. I come to watch a movie in cine lounge , Fremont and I am told , the movie is still downloading so there will be no screening of the movie . At other times, the response is , they are not playing a movie due to technical glitches . This has happened on multiple occasions ! So I've been to this place couple of times but my last time I've been there and I was shocked. Firstly, the egg puff we ordered most likely was several days old and when we approached staff, they said it "came in just now" despite us not seeing them ever go and get a new batch. Next, we watched as a group of people exited the theatre but no one came in and cleaned the place. I doubt they do that until the end of the day. For a place with pride about their safety from Covid... that's a let down. The seats inside the cinema were nice until we realized they weren't bolted down. The picture attached was a metal outlet I discovered after someone holding their child nearly fell on it. It's hidden but people could still trip on it. The last thing that bugged me but also was pretty amusing was the fact their pre show ads were all about their own theatre but it looked like it was edited sometime around 2012. The movie theater is pretty nice and definitely reasonably priced. It's clean and has the reclining lounge chairs. The chairs are cloth (which kind of freaks me out), so I hope they are cleaned regularly. We don't usually buy snacks here, but they have a variety of traditional snacks with as well as some Indian food items on the menu. read more

The Soda machine was not dispensing ice, I reported to the front desk that both the soda machine was not working. The Lady in the front desk with a very trolling tone asked me to push the lever (as if don't know how to use). She told many of the people don't knowhow to use it generalizing. I told her I tried both and then only approached them. She did want to fix the issue and started accusing me and try to walk close to me. I asked her to step back and she was not listening. Another Co-worker came to me said he would refund the order. The Lady still making a scene. Then went to watch the movie and another movie was running all the other customers were waiting outside. No courtesy in the front desk to inform the previous movie still running. We have to 30 mins over the original time. The Lady again approached me that she spoke to the management and asking to return the ticket to get a refund and not allowed to watch the movie literally threatening me. I asked her to connect me to the management, then she did not answer and went back. I have never experienced such bad behavior. Hope management Reads this and takes the necessary action. Need to understand Indian movies now available and good theaters across the Bay Area. Very rude lady making every customer miserable. If I could give zero stars I would. The cleanliness of this theatre is absolutely below par. I arrived to the theater with about ten minutes before my showtime, my group and I were told to wait while the theater was being cleaned. Okay, that's fine, but when I came to my seat it was COVERED in crumbs from the previous viewer and had oily fried food bits in the cup holder. Not really sure what cleaning they did while we were all waiting. Pretty gross, so I asked a employee to clean up. Even besides the crumbs, the seat was stained and smelled a bit. He grabbed larger crumbs with a tissue and called it a day. Not wanting to cause a scene, I moved on with my life and watched the movie. It's nearly 2am right now and I just got home. As I was getting settled in bed I started feeling itchy and felt a bunch of bumps on my arm. Took of my sweater to find ATLEAST 20 BEDBUG BITES ON MY ARM This is totally unacceptable and is disgusting. I've lived in college housing and cooperative buildings with 60-100 people in close quarters and I have NEVER been the victim of bed bugs. I will be contacting a relevant government agency to inspect this business. I feel so icky right now and truthfully angry, I paid for a luxurious movie experience and I became a snack for some bugs instead. read more

The ticketing system and the staff at front desk need to learn a lot more about how American cinema and customers treated. They behave just like you may see in Punjab local movie theaters As Indians we need to learn how to respect people no matter. I am impressed to see the huge transformation that has happened to Big Cinemas and its Cine Grand now. Indeed GRAND in every aspect! I love the recliner seats. Super cozy and comfortable. The sound system is also amazing. Their online reservation tool is good. You can now select your seats too! No more standing in huge lines. The people in front are very friendly. The customer service is bored and tbh, they really don't give a crap about anyone or anything. Seats are comfy and the whole movie watching experience is good. Bathrooms need to be clean, as well as the theaters them self. When you go to the movies you expect variety when it comes to snacks and drinks. This place does not offer your that. Was my first time at this particular theaters! Here are some of the pros from my experience: -online bookings available -online bookings with seat reservations. (TIP make sure you get a email confirmation) -reclining seats -comfy fabric seats instead of leather -plenty of leg space -snack bar with various of drinks, popcorn, candy -clean bathrooms -well organized and easy to navigate through theater -intermission (5-10 mins) -plenty of parking spots available Here are some of the cons from my experience: -fabric seats but many of them were very dirty. Even though fabric seats are super comfortable. I didn't want to sit in a dirty seat -the particular movie theater room there was in only had one entrance. So at the end of the movie, it took about 3-4 mins to get out. If your on the far right side and you have to excuse yourself as the movie is playing you have to go through all the people to get out, since there is only on way to exit. -there was a nasty smell within the movie theater room. Which wasn't pleasant -only one counter for the snacks and the checking in so it gets crowded -even if you do online booking you still need to check in with the front desk I will give this theater another try. Great place for local and regional movies. All screens have recliner seats and theatre and bathrooms were clean overall. Ticket prices are on par with other big chains. The theater could do more with adding activities while waiting for the show to begin like an arcade or add more waiting/seating area in the lobby. Cafe was good, they had samosas, nachos mango lassi and popcorn. They also added fandango support so booking tickets is really convenient. read more

Saw Uncharted here a few nights ago. Seats are hell comfortable and are probably the most cushiony and loungy of any theatre seats I've ever sat in. Quite amazing! Maybe that's why the theatre is called CINELOUNGE. Honestly it's worth the name just for the seats. Movie theatre is pretty good. Originally I was sitting to the left of center, but found it uncomfortable because a couple was like right there. So I requested to move to the back row same seat. Much better, darker and more secluded for comfort purposes. Sound quality is about a 7, maybe a 6. So don't expect to be engulfs in sound. What would be cool is if you could bring your own Bluetooth headset and dial in for the surround sound effect. Pretty neat idea. Ticket prices are reasonable and the food is priced accordingly to make it worth while for them to prep it. Place is totally streamlined and efficient as capacity is low. They run a tight shift with minimal coverage which is good as long as the patronage are good guests. Only complaint is the bathrooms which wreaked of diarrhea city. It was bad to the point of somebody unloading a couple gallons of wtf!!! Sewer city. I guess you adjust after awhile, but not a place you want to stay in. A good experience for the price. Had a small popcorn and bottled water to occupy me through the movie. Uncharted is the only English or American movie. All the rest I believe are Bollywood. What would be cool is if they could get other world foreign films, indie films and maybe some good classics or pop culture type films to round out their lineup. I bet the place could get popular again. I remember way back when, when it was the discount theatre and you could watch movies after they had their run at the main theaters for a $1.50. The best place to watch Indian movies in Fremont and nearby locations. It's a nice place and conveniently located. They have small auditoriums with limited seats. And the recliners are damn good, quite Comfortable. Ample leg space - main attraction for a tall person like myself. The sounding is great and you can enjoy the movies which demands a quality audio output. They have a few screens and quite easy to find them too. Their hygiene is commendable. The auditorium and bathrooms were clean. They do have online booking as well. Easy to select your seat and grab the tickets at the counter. The customer service is good. But often you will find a single counter operating. You may have to wait for a while to get your tickets even if you have done online booking. They do have many Indian snacks like Samosa, Puffs available, along with popcorns. It's expensive considering the portion of the food. At times you pay more for your snacks than your ticket. lol Overall it's a good place. Definitely try this place. read more
