I am going to sound old now - but when I was kid the movies were 99 cents. you gave the attendant $1 and you got a penny back. they kept the rates low for years. granted the movies were always 6 months late coming to town but still the admission was only $.99. You might as well pay a few extra bucks and go to Century. I will still go occasionally, but I guarantee I will spend FAR less money there now at $7 than I would have at $3.50. I realize we are in trying times, but this is just seems like a gouge. Otherwise decent staff, great popcorn, presentable facilities, quiet atmosphere. For the record, this would be 5+ stars a year ago. I was tempted to rate lower, but have to give some credit for their years of past radness.

Putting this review here because you can't really respond to other reviews?…read more - there are 25-30 minute previews before your movie actually starts. the theatre cannot control this, film companies PAY the theatre to play the previews so they are going to play. - people should be more considerate when a tech issue occurs. Most of the time these things happen due to weather or some kind of technical issue, but when they happen and you're at least offered refunds or passes, so be kinder to the workers. They are doing their best like they always do. There's not one worker there, or manager that won't make sure you get taken care of properly. - considering it's the only theatre in Sioux City, we should be grateful. not degrade and treat employees like they aren't human just because there is a long line, or they ran out of their favorite candy.
