It's not a multi-plex like the ones in Spencer (to the South) and Okoboji (to the North), but it does show current films and at a decent admission price. It's also a handy place to go on a rainy day or if you're in the mood to be in an air conditioned space for a couple hours. The current movie house is located within the old Red Owl Grocery building and is directly across the parking lot from Mother Nature's Bar. For small town Iowa, that's a pretty good combination a date night idea. There are 3 screens here and there's no problem seeing a popular feature. Plus, air conditioning in the summer and heat in the winter is always a bonus. It's also a typical chain experience and certainly lacks the character my boyhood memories.

I realize we are in trying times, but this is just seems like a gouge. Otherwise decent staff, great popcorn, presentable facilities, quiet atmosphere.
