They get all the same movies as the big city theaters for about half the price! There is ample street parking around the neighborhood of Coaldale. This is the only large movie theater within 45 min - 1 hour of Bloomsburg. Building was formerly an Ames Department Store and within the last decade received a significant renovation, bringing it up to date with other theaters. Since AMC's takeover, the entrance ticket counters have been largely unused, and you now buy them at the concession stand. Several arcade machines are spread across the lobby. Usual overpriced snacks but does not have any full meal options like other modern theaters. Concession stand now has two Coca-Cola Freestyle machines. Theaters have stadium seating added during the renovations. After my last few visits, I've noticed a few issues ranging from broken/permanently reclined seats, screens with marks on them, and cobwebs hanging from the ceiling. Seems maintenance needs to be picked up a bit. Another Yelper mentioned about too many previews before the movie and I would completely agree. Cinema Center does get a nice mix of limited release movie showings and non-movies including special TV viewings. Only twice in the last few years have I had to travel out of the area to see a limited release movie (Kevin Smith's Tusk and Shin Godzilla). Is Cinema Center perfect? No, but it's good enough.

It's very small inside but it's very clean and has comfortable reclining seating and it's affordable. As of July 2024,tickets early in the day are $10.00 and $13.50 later in the day. The concession stand moves quickly and customer service is good. Food portions are fair as well. They also have a self serve soda machine with the coolest option to add syrup to your drinks. The syrup flavors are (Cherry, Strawberry, Vanilla and lemon) I've never seen that before. So that was awesome for sure. If you're ever in Matamoras or Port Jervis area, I recommend this movie theater.
