Back in the day, the mall used to have a small, small theater called the Cinemark 3. Yup. 3 theater…read morerooms. Then came Cinemark 10, which was THE theater to go to. Then the mall got remodeled and this theater replaced Cinemark 3. It was our city's first theater with auditorium style seating! What do you mean, levels? What do you mean, every seat is a good seat?! Overall this became the best theater to go to in the city. It's right next to the food court, the prices are cheaper than in San Antonio, and there are multiple accessible concession stands.

The concept is simple, they show movies that have been out for a few weeks or months but haven't been released on DVD/rental services. They make all their money on the concession stands ($6-10 for popcorn, $5-8 for drinks, etc.) The building, appliances, and arcade games are extremely dated, but everything was generally clean, and the staff was friendly. I'll definitely come back with those prices!

Good selection of snacks and drinks at concession stand, though they still charge "precio de gringo" like other theaters. This Cinemark location only has 10 screens but if they're offering something you want to see it's worth the drive. They have updated the theater since our last visit. Now they feature comfortable recliners with electric controls. Fewer seats, but more comfortable. When you pay for tickets (in person or online) you choose your seats which are numbered. So you can arrange seating ahead of time if you have a group or family rather than wonder if you can all sit together. The theater and restrooms were clean when we were there (a matinee). Employees were not especially friendly but efficient. I would definitely return to avoid the crowds in McAllen.

Without hesitation, one of the attendants came over and gave us a jump. When I tried to tip him, he kindly refused and simply told us to keep coming back. It wasn't about the money--it was about helping someone out. Small town folks truly have the biggest hearts, and nights like this remind me how grateful I am for simple kindness and genuine community.

I got the pretzels and hot cheese dip, which was more filling than i expected. The pretzels were soft and hot and a good size portion. I even gave my last one to the boyfriend to finish. He got the chicken quesadilla, which comes in a pizza box that is bigger than it should be. We definitely thought there would be more quesadilla in there than there actually was. But he said it tasted pretty good. We thought it was going to have the reclining seats, which it did not so that was disappointing. But I guess we should have confirmed that first. I also thought you could order the food from your seat, but you do have to get up and order at the counter....and they do deliver it to you. Overall, we probably wouldn't make the drive again, but if you live in the Edinburg area it's a nice treat to have the dinner theater.

Bathrooms can be stinky. They don't have paper towels, just hand dryers. Some of the sinks don't work. The IMAX theater has some steep steps, so be careful. I think I've tripped every time. The theater is clean. The leather isn't ripped. They recline. The audio visuals are good.

The shows were lots of fun. We really liked the dock dogs show. The BMXers were fun too. The petting zoo is fun for a few minutes, but then you start to feel bad for some of the animals. They had a kangaroo and people wouldn't leave the poor thing alone even though it kept trying to get away from people who were touching it. We really enjoyed the rodeo (extra cost) it was the most fun rodeo we've ever been to.

I travel weekly for work and the people that work here are some of the rudest I have come across. There was 1 lady that worked on the night of 5/7/25 that was friendly, but everyone else during my stay was unnecessarily rude. Some I witnessed being rude to other guests. I landed in Harlingen, exhausted and went to the hotel before check in to see if they had a room ready. If not, I would have just worked in the main area. I was given attitude from the moment I walked in. I explained that I knew it was before the official check in but just wanted to see if they had any rooms ready. At 1st the lady kept looking at papers and ignored me. After several minutes standing there I finally asked if she had a room or not. She then got me checked in. I did not receive a bottle of water or anything at check in as I usually do. I don't have them clean my room so I often need refills of stuff. Anytime I asked for something like a towel or toilet paper I had to explain I did not need my room cleaned, just a refill. The breakfast ladies like to sit or stand by the trash cans and gossip with the morning front desk lady. At 7:30 in the morning, nothing is refilled and when a child made a mess they made no effort to clean it. One breakfast lady likes to order the other around very rudely as well. Not sure why there are 2 at this hotel when 1 does nothing but sit and gossip. It's extremely unprofessional to see and hear them when trying to get and eat breakfast. I ended up taking it back to my room when I saw them there. At one point when I was asking for a washcloth another guest was asking for a bottle of water that she should have gotten at check in. The lady looked her up and told her she wasn't platinum level so she could not get one. There was definitely a better way to handle that. There were multiple people in the lobby and I felt bad for her. Another guest and I looked at each other with understanding that it was wrong. Too much to talk about so I will end here. If you like being treated like crap, this is the place for you.

Large flat screen TV in all the rooms. I got a room with only a standup shower but comfortably could fit two people. Complimentary breakfast Monday through Friday from 6am-9am and Saturday and Sunday 630am-930am. Has the usual things such as eggs, potatoes, self-made waffles, yogurt, toast/bagels, and juices. Free WiFi that was good speed throughout the facility. Pool is supposedly heated, but it was still really cold and we had to leave within a few minutes of being in the water.
