Yo, is Cinemark ok?? I literally walked into the theater without anyone stopping to ask me for my tix. Security was there but they were chitchatting with the food staff. They saw me and I saw them. And they didn't say or do anything. The seat numbers are mostly missing from the seats. The recliners look sloppy and misshapen. This location is in dire need of some serious TLC. It's not completely raggedy but I would not take a first date... nor even a second date here. It's a 1990's theatre trying to cosplay as a modern IMAX laser wannabe. However it serves its purpose. Keep your expectations very low and you will survive. Literally as I'm typing this review in real time, two people were lost trying to find the seat numbers. read more

Theatre seats are comfortable enough, but that's about the only good thing that can be said about the location. The space is worn and very poorly maintained. There is popcorn spewed everywhere, overflowing trash cans, and bathrooms were disgusting. The theatres have chunks of carpet missing, the screen in theatre 9 has a tear in a central location, and the theatre was kept quite cold. I'm extremely disappointed with the hygiene standards at this location. My wife and daughter visited the women's restroom and found it in an absolutely disgusting state.. there was feces, blood and overpowering smell of urine in the toilet cubicles, making it completely unusable and unsanitary. This is unacceptable for any public establishment, especially one serving food and hosting families. Basic cleanliness is non-negotiable. Cinemark Centerville needs to be thoroughly inspected and held accountable. Frankly, if this is how they maintain their facilities, the theater should be shut down until proper sanitation is enforced. Went to see a 9:55 AM movie. The place seemed clean, and I didn't even have to talk to a person to buy tickets, it was all through kiosk. The theater was very clean when I actually viewed the movie and I thought both the projector and the audio was good. The seats are very comfortable, they recline, and are made out of leather. Some of the best seats in the area. The tickets are a little expensive, Costing around $13. Overall I like Centerville 12 and would recommended for a nice movie experience. read more

Honestly, aside from the seats being a tad bit run down; they're absolutely comfortable! This theater is conveniently located in the heart of Centreville and perfect for locals! They have Tuesday perks for $5.50 per ticket and it's usually not as crowded. The staff are simple and helpful. The seats recline and give you plenty of room. The screen size and sound are pretty decent - not too crazy loud as other theaters that burst your eardrums. They have plenty of parking and EV charging as well! Overall 7/10 would recommend! This place is OK, but I like the one at Fairfax better, since it has reclining seats. They have a good selection of foreign movies, especially Hindi-, Tamil-, and Telugu-language movies. It is far away from Alexandria, but the selection of movies makes it worth the drive. There is a large shopping plaza with Asian restaurants just about a half-mile west if you keep going, so you have Chinese, Korean, Japanese, Thai, and many other restaurants to choose from while you are waiting for the movie. The seats are large and comfortable. The facilities are clean and well maintained, and the staff is friendly. The parking lot surface is rough. I ran over a pothole and my airbag light is still on. This has always been our go-to theater. I understand the pandemic was hard on movie theaters and times are tough. As frustrating as it is to find out they have no butter and no nachos after we buy our tickets, there is nothing they can do about it if they're having supply issues. But the chairs look awful, the staff is slow and seem lazy. Best part was sitting in one of the theaters on the end of the building sweating because the AC didn't seem to be working. The center of the building was nice and cool, but not the ends. The seats are worn and have bits of pleather flaking off onto my clothes. I was not pleased to have paid for that. If I could have gotten a refund for our tickets we would have left. read more

Yesterday, we went to watch 'Gladiator II' and the theater was uncomfortably cold. But that was not the worst of it. The floors of the halls and the foyer were covered with popcorn, the women's bathroom was disgusting with toilet paper everywhere on the floor, a couple of stalls with Out of Service signs, water on the floor of other stalls, and overflowing trash bins. I talked to a girl working the food stand (not her fault) but I told her we would not be coming back. The place needs a new manager and a team of workers with brooms. On my return to this theater the first person I encountered was the manager an adult who was professional and personable. He was informative and discussed some of the changes and renovations to seating that the theater will be going through soon and he discussed the recent hiring to enhance the movie goers experience. The theater was very clean and no one had to wait a long time to be serviced. The upcoming updates will truly enhance this facility. Service was a little slow, but it is to be expected with so many new hires. The manager moving to the evenings was a brilliant idea. It is to tell that it has made an impact, because everyone was working and assisting. I will definitely continue to come here and this be my theater of choice! read more

My husband and I have a date night once every 6 months. We find an available sitter and decide to see a movie. We chose Cinemark because they had the movie we wanted to see, reserved seating, recliner seats, and fast food dinner options since we didn't get to eat yet and there wouldn't be enough time for dinner and a movie this evening. We get to the Cinemark at 9:15 for a 10pm movie on a Saturday night. We head to concessions to place our order. Two hot dogs, please. "Oh, I'm sorry, we don't have any more." Pizza? Nope. Jalapeño poppers? "No, sorry." I could understand if this was a midnight show, that they'd only have candy or popcorn available. But 9:15 on a Saturday night? Really? So I ask, "what do you have that isn't popcorn that someone might substitute for dinner" Mozzarella sticks and fries, they suggest. Ok, breaded cheese and popcorn for dinner it is. Fantastic. I got to my reserved seat in the theatre. The place is trashed, and hasn't been cleaned up from the last patrons. After we clean up the debris around our ripped/frayed leather seats and sit down, about to dig into our makeshift dinner, a young man runs in and asks that we wait outside in the hall so he can clean the theatre. We stand up, gather our coats and belongings, then head out to the hallway. I sat on a bench in the hallway, littered with popcorn, candy wrappers, and debris and open my box of "dinner" while we wait for the theatre to be readied. The box contained four cold mozzarella sticks and literally three potato wedges, no marinara sauce. And cost nearly $10. Bon appetit! Popcorn was not much better, but at least the drink was as specified. $80 for a babysitter, $30 for tickets, $26 in shitty snack food with 3/4 of the menu unavailable, and old furniture that needs to be replaced. Yeah, needless to say, but this will be our first and our last time at Cinemark. Go anywhere else. read more

Our go-to theater. We generally go once a week. The reclining seats are so comfortable and the older employees are cheerful and helpful. They are severely understaffed and we wonder if the purpose is to let the facility become run down. Hope not as the community needs it! We go at off times so normally do not have to contend with rude phones on patrons. Good thing too as if you peek out rarely is there anyone stationed by the ticket counter where you scan your codes. The employees they hire are absolute idiots. Not only did they mess up my ticket purchase, but they couldn't even operate the concession stand efficiently. The last time I visited this Theater location was some time around 2000-2001 when I used to live in Centreville. I've not been back since. The Theater is very different now from what it used to be. Back then - the auditoriums were your standard cramped auditorium-style seating. A couple of my friends that live in Warrenton like to come to this Theater due to the wide recliners. I purchased tickets through Fandango, as have six (6) other women (that I know of) to see "Sound of Freedom". When I arrived to see the 9:35am showing of the film, the person at the front desk told me that my ticket through Fandango was no longer valid, that my seat H14 was taken by another patron. I had to purchase a new one; so I purchased G14 to simply ensure that if H14 was taken, I would know. No one ever arrived for H14...because I was the one who purchased H14. I contacted Fandango and they confirmed that I did in fact purchase H14 and that the ticket's status was valid. I called the cinema today, after speaking with multiple people who were also deterred from seeing the movie, and spoke with Kelsey Caldwell. She put my call on hold for at least (two) 2 minutes, and when I called back, the person on the walkie talkie said, "the lady is back on line one". News travels fast. Kelsey Caldwell proceeded to laugh at me and blamed the entire event on Fandango. If you are a patron of Cinemark, buyer beware, especially for "Sound of Freedom". This increase in our attendance started in May, after we got our second Covid shot and we were more willing to be out in public. The theaters are very clean and so are the bathrooms. This theater went through major renovations a few years ago, and because of it, we've kept going back. There was once a time where I dreaded watching movies here. The floors were always dirty and sticky, the seats were so uncomfortable, and the theater, as a whole, lacked a certain aesthetic. The only time I would ever want to watch a movie here was on Tuesday discount days ($5/ticket). A few years later, it is easily one of my top 3 choices of theaters to go to in the area (primarily because of proximity). The seats are a thousand times more comfortable, the floors are (usually) clean and not sticky, and the food options have vastly improved. My husband and I try to come once a week as we love seeing movies. We always try to come for the first showtime of the day. It's usually pretty empty at that time and the tickets are only $5.65 for the first showtime of any movie. Movies in VA are terribly over priced in my opinion so this place offers an awesome deal! They also have a discount day on Tuesday and tickets are $5.65 all day. We even came here before it was remodeled because we didn't think it was too bad and the employees are always really friendly. We have made friends with the sweet older gentleman who usually mans the popcorn stand. Other theaters I have gone to in the area have given me burnt and stale popcorn on more than one occasion. In the MANY times I have been to this theater I have only gotten stale popcorn once and they kindly and quickly replaced it. Now the entire place has had a gorgeous remodel, it's unrecognizable. And the leather reclining seats are a real treat! Very comfortable as usually my tail bone hurts after sitting through a long movie, but not any more! Just make sure to sit far back as the auditoriums are not tiered like newer ones are. They also now have reserved seating. All the theaters in our old home state of UT have reserved seating, so we found it rather odd moving to VA and find that none of the theaters had reserved seating until now. This is my favorite cinema in NOVA. The reclining chairs are so comfy and they have a wide selection of snacks to choose from the snack bar. They always have a great line up of movies available and I have seen hundreds of movies here! Always a great time coming to Cinemark Multiplex theater. If you download their app on your mobile device, you can sign up to receive offers for free movies and discounted snacks at the snackbar. This is a pretty big theater with ample parking. Prices are competitive and they do offer a military discount daily with Tuesday's being discount night for all others. read more

The bathrooms here just make no sense what so ever. The men's restroom is inside and the men's restroom is in the lobby if your theater is on the left side upon entry. If your theater is on the right then there is a women's restroom in that side and a men's restroom in the lobby also I assume but they're all a football field apart! The recliner seats are relaxing and enjoyable but they could use a tray table as well. Every Tuesday is discount day, $6 every movie, all day! Can't beat that!! The snacks could use a boost, they're hit or miss. Stale popcorn and hotdog buns at their finest. They offer ice cream and some fried products as well. I love that they have reclining seats and that the theater is very spacious. I recently took my sister to go see a movie that just came out and it was a great experience for her.
