Came here to see Odyssey. Comfy recliners! A spacious and clean theatre. It's our first time to this brand (Cinemark). The front is impressive. It looks like a Greek building with columns. There are many upsides here. Never had to wait for the ladies' rooms (many modern stalls, clean). Outside is the idyllic Fairfax Corner. The artificial lawn looks oddly inviting. The cinema was very clean. The seats in the theatre look very clean as well. Went to see Jurassic world rebirth. The movie was mid. The snow effect was subpar but there were moments in which it was really good. The customer service was awesome and the staff were all friendly. Got a large popcorn (with plenty of Butter) and an a icee. read more

Concessions service was terrible on my last visit on Tuesday. First I ask for popcorn with light butter in the middle and at the top. I see her doing 5 swirls of butter at the 1/4 mark, then another 5 swirls at the 1/2 way... I had to stop her and said that I would like just one swirl in the middle and one swirl at the top. If you ask for butter... keep an eye out. also a girl with big classes was next to the register next to ours, and she asks my family to move to our side... even though she didn't have any customers coming to her register. Not to that no one said hi or really talks anymore. Also got a popcorn refill and got the girl that shush'd my family earlier, not hi, no eye contact, just fills it, puts in on the counter and turns around. Went to see Barbie here a couple weeks ago and had a lovely experience. My only complaint is that at most theatres there is a light or more obvious way to see the row you're in - since here it's in the carpet you can barely see it and that makes it hard to find your spot if you need to use the restroom. I got an XD viewing and the screen was HUGEEE it was definitely worth the cost. The theatre itself is also large and recliners are spacious so you're not tightly close to the person next to you and can easily move around in your seat. I wish it would recline a little further back to allow the feet to come up totally but that's not a big deal. They did not check bags. I also can't speak on concessions since I didn't get anything, but prepare to come early for your show as parking can be difficult to find. Don't worry if you're a little late tho, compared to other theaters where trailers play for 15 min, here they seemed to have run around 25/30. read more

Huge empty lobby on Tuesday afternoon with 14 movie theaters! My hb and went to see the movie Concave with Ralph Fiennes, excellent actor in a rather uninspiring role. The theatre, itself, was large, with rows of roomy, adjustable balcony seating, generous area of handicapped seating, higher up seating, again plush adjustable seating with clear visibility to the large screen. Surround sound nice, theater, thankfully, comfortable temperature on a very cold winter day. My only concern was the eerily empty theater and the fact that theaters may soon be a thing of the past thanks to Covid and streaming of home movies. So, go go go, theater lovers to keep these theaters in business! I highly recommend this theater. (But, may I be as bold as to plug my fave theater, Cinema Arts in Fairfax!) read more

Bought tickets and thought we had purchased two end seats. When we got there, we realized it was one seat and one open space for a wheelchair. We ended up having to sit on the floor, for 2 hours. Also, purchased nachoes and they were sitting under a heat lamp. You would think for $6, they would give me something better. read more

Went here to watch Puss & Boots with my friends for the $6 dollar special on Tuesdays. Seats are nice and theaters are cozy but the food is not good. I know I shouldn't expect much but I have AMC movie pass and their food is at least decent. My friend and I got the nachos, hot dogs, and an ICEE. ICEE - 5/5. Had all the flavors and was very good Nachos - 3/5. It was okay, I like how they gave the chips bagged and the cheese warm but I'm not of fan of Tostitos nacho cheese. Hot Dog - 1/5. This was not good at all... the hot dog was sooooo salty... and at the end of my hot dog, the bread tag was attached! I couldn't see in the dark so I bit into it. Imagine if I swallowed that. Anyways, I wouldn't recommend it here. Definitely more of an AMC fan. read more

I am a huge fan of this theatre, it's my family's go to now that we live in the area. We like to take advantage of discount Tuesdays when our tickets are only $6. As a mom of a 5 year old, I am conscious of he possibility of my son getting bored and disturbing other people's experience. Which makes this place the best because their standard theater has huge reclining loungers for him to spread out on. All the rows are separated by walls so you can't even see or hear when someone gets up in the row above or below you. In my case, it might be my little one who just needs to stretch his legs or rush to the bath We do take advantage of the Cinemark movie club which gives us a free ticket, removes transaction/booking fees, and gives us a discount for snacks. This has become the perfect affordable Tuesday night activity for the whole fam! read more

Been to this theater twice and so far I'm a fan. Good seats & sound. Hubby commented on the sound which is important because he does have hearing issues. Personally, as someone with good hearing I might start bringing ear plugs bc the loud background noise but appreciate that the dialog was crisp. The seats are nice & didn't seem to have the awkward squeaking noice when moving the seat. There is easy parking & spots nearby for before or after meals. Unlike AMC there did not seem to be popcorn refill options. Will likely become one of our regular movie spots & May even go for a membership which a couple friend suggested was worth it if you visit regularly. read more

I have been here a few times and never had any issues. Today I was there to see the Hindi movie Crew. The theater is always clean and well maintained. I like the self serve butter station with other condiments such as salt. I don't live nearby this theater so I don't come often, but if I'm in the area or need to see an Indian movie I'll be back! read more

The theater is dated and the special XD screen is a regular screen. The markup on the ticket is insane. One Love was the movie we took in. There is a weird too tall half wall that feels like the screen is partially blocked. I miss that location being AMC! Classic movie theater located in the pleasant area of Fairfax Corner 14! Tickets are usually about $13.50-$16.50! You can definitely get better deals using their app or joining their subscription! Their interior is a typical movie theater layout -- you have your tickets to your left, ticketing taker is in the middle, and you have your concession stands behind. I do like that this theater sells ICEES ! They also have a small arcade area to kill time if you're early for a movie~ They have reclining seats and a lot of leg room; plenty of cup holders; both with and without the arm rests! 6.5/10 would recommend to watch a movie if you're from the local area! read more

Wow have their prices gone up. Whether for a movie ticket or food, be ready to sell your blood platelets. Actually matinee prices are decent. With respect to theaters, they struggled and still are after the pandemic. The online ticket buying is a cinch, and you can save time with the kiosks. You decide where you want to sit. Park to the right side if you can. This is a relatively nice and modern theater. My most recent flicks here were the latest Jackass and Maverick. You can see the screen clearly. The sound system is pretty good. It works and they do offer a lot of different movies at one time. Seats are very comfortable, and I'm glad they went with this improvement. read more

First time out to see a movie here in quite some time. My wife and I were drawn out to see the Top Gun sequel. We bought our tickets from a machine in the lobby and paid $3 extra to see it in their big theater number 6. Our seats were super comfy leather recliners with built in cup holders. The screen was IMAX huge and very sharp. Our seats rumbled whenever they lit the afterburners on an aircraft in the movie. It was quite the experience and certainly better than watching it at home. We came straight from dinner nearby and skipped the concession bar. The hot buttered popcorn smelled awesome but we didn't cave. Over all we had a great evening at the theater and will come again for the next block buster movie. read more

I went to see a movie in XD that costed $18. Having mainly been an AMC goer, I wanted to try something different; however, this place is average and sadly does not compete with AMC . Pros: food options were much cheaper than other theaters, which was nice to see. The place itself and its lobby was huge. The recliner seats were good, too. Cons: the place seemed a bit dated. The XD screening was also very very average (for a $18 ticket). In fact, AMC might have a significant competitive edge here when it comes to the screening and sound. Recommendations: I suggest updating the screens/ audio to compete or beat AMC's Dolby cinema and also revamp the interior of the individual screens/theaters to make the place have more character and color. The XD screening was very bland. AMC does a good job adding colored/lined lights to give it a modern effect. A first (and cost effective) step would be to focus on the aesthetics and then later the sound, etc. read more

The people were great and helpful, and the theater provides a good big screen experience. A solid theater. I wish the chairs could lean further back, the leg support can raise pretty far up but the angle is a bit awkward. The website had a little bit of a glitch when buying tickets, which was odd. This place is good for foreign, especially Indian movies. They run many Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu movies. These movies are as good in quality as anything coming out of Hollywood, especially the action movies. I especially like the reclining seats. Sometimes I will buy their boxed pizzas and take them home to eat over the next several days. The facilities are clean and well maintained, and the staff is friendly. The parking is plenty and convenient. No complaints. Keep up the good work. read more

Unplanned movie night in Fairfax! For whatever reason, all theaters don't play all movie.. Particularly black movies but Tyler Perry's Acrimony was playing here. Not my first time here but parking is free and pretty vast. I found a two hour space not far from the theater so there was that. Upon entering the establishment there are self service kiosk or a box office off to the left. I chose to utilize the self service kiosk with no issues, $13.75 adult ticket. I don't think I've ever used their box office btw. They also feature a full bar that serves food, a concession stand and a sort of gourmet food section. I was going to get mozzarella sticks but my movie was started so I just shot to the restroom and went to find my seat. The restroom was clean but the first stall I entered didn't have a lock. There was toilet paper and paper towels and the place didn't stink so that's a plus! Upon entering the theater you travel down the usual hall and come upon the stadium seating... This is pre-selected assigned seating. There was a guy in my seat who I don't think was suppose to be there or he just didn't care but I sat a few seats over until other people came to claim those seats. He just moved two seats over until those people claimed their seats as well. I don't know where he went after that. The rows are separated by a sort of partition. So you can't see the people on the row below you, however once you extend the recliner, the space between the partition and the end of the seat is limited! A few people entered after the lights went down and with limited lighting and space, I felt like I was in their way. Also the door to enter the theater slams so I knew every time someone entered and exited. The screen quality and sound were good, they had additional speakers on the wall going down the length of the seats. I think this place would be good for a date night if you want to utilize the full bar or one of the restaurants in the plaza and catch a flick afterward. read more

I wanted to see Molly's Game after reading the reviews. This was the only theatre that played multiple shows for the film. And it was on Wednesday only so my friend and I decided to do a dinner (@ Ozzie's) & a movie (here). The perks of this theatre is location with all the restaurants and shops surrounding it and the size due to multiple showings of films. I'm told this place went under renovations to keep up with these new state-of-the-art theatres (basically just large comfy seats and serving booze and food options other than popcorn) but it's got cache and style to it. Seats are comfortable and clean although not as large as other theatres. You pick your seat when you purchase the ticket. It can be conflicting as there were some people fighting over which seat was theirs. There's also a bar in the theatre which serves some tasty beverages. I prefer to get my eating and drinking on at one of the restaurants but if you like to eat at the theatre the option is yours. To my pleasant surprise, Wednesday's have movie specials where all tickets for any movie (I think) are $5.75; it's quite a bargain considering how expensive the experience of seeing a movie is these days. I remember when movies used to be somewhat cheap ($6-$7). Now they are around $12-$14 per ticket. Explains why I hardly go out to movies anymore. But this deal will likely convince me to frequent the theatre for catching flicks. Btw Molly's Game was awesome and must see! Will not be returning to this theater. Purchased tickets thru fandango and was very familiar with the general location, but was our first and last experience with this theater. Had a movie that was playing at 0710pm showing on a Thursday night. Arrived at 0645pm, and had checked to make sure they served food and beverages. Upon our arrival to the location, when we went to order dinner. When we arrived at the concession stand, we were told that the neither the bar nor the Snack bar were open, and the only items available for purchase were items they could make in a microwave. After hustling from work to make our movie time, it was very disappointing to not be able to get anything other than a thing of nachos and pretzel bites to eat. I had checked prior to buying the tickets and their menu has a full list of food, including meals, as well as a full bar menu. No where on their website did it say that these amenities were not available. Frankly it appeared to me as though they hadn't been open all day, if not longer. There was no smell of cooked food other than popcorn. Our movie was in Theater 3, seats F1 and F2. These seats are supposed to recline and have leg rests. Neither of our seats worked. I'd rather pay a little bit more than the $15 per seat and go to a theater that runs as advertised. Buyer beware. read more

This business doesnt keep their word and posts deals they don't honor. We bought a metal popcorn bucket since we live nearby and the cashier explained that the bucket would get us cheaper refills instead of buying the full price popcorn each time we come. We came back LESS THAN A MONTH LATER to be told that they aren't doing refills and we would have to pay full price for a new popcorn. So I asked about the sign literally posted on the glass in front of the register saying enjoy cheaper refills. And the cashier argues that it's policy they don't do that. I explained again that we bought it specifically because that was the sales pitch and that the sign in front of him says otherwise. I don't care about the price. I'm just tired of businesses being s!#% these days. Not being honest. Not honering what they're selling. Don't come here. Go to the mall or one of the many other places around here that are more worth your money. They still have the signs posted. Don't buy their memberships. Don't pay extra for promises of future deals. They're liars and thrives. Maybe I wasn't clear. I get the no refills during Covid. But the deal for the tin is discount on refills and they sold me on that premise knowing they don't do refills. And the sign says instead of refills, you can get discounted popcorn and drinks. He was refusing the discount. That's where the problem is. Due to an ongoing rodent problem in the theater that's been reported over the years (read the reviews!), and the fact that mangement has not resolved this serious issue I will not be returning to this theater. This is very unfortunate but I will not pay to see an expensive movie worrying about rats or mice scurrying by when they're known for carrying diseases not to mention the ick factor. As it is, I live only a block from the AMC Worldgate in Herndon and that theater has declined to such an extent in terms of filth, disgusting chair trays, sticky floors, disgusting bathrooms, shredded seats, broken equipment that I won't go near that place either. One would think that with theaters taking such a hit during the pandemic that they would do everything they could to make theaters an enticing place to visit again but my health is too important as a cancer survivor to take these chances. Concession line was also quite long, good thing we don't like munching while watching a movie. Though both are less than 5 minutes from my house, I prefer this theater than the one in town center. The manger Mr. Maxwell is just the rudest person I have ever met. I bought tickets for my 2 kids to see Spiral(new saw) now my kids are 20 and 17. Mr. Maxwell decided that they couldn't see the move without a PARENT!! Claiming that the company policy states that a parent must be present for someone under 18, I googled it... nope it's 17+ for R-Rated films in Virginia. Not to mention that my boys have been going here for years to see films, my 20 year old saw both Deadpool movies before he was 18 (both R-Rated) never carded. My 17 year old has seen more r rated movies here than I can count, never carded never been given a hard time. So here's how it all went down. I am a Cinemark Club member, I logged into the app and ordered the tickets for my kids(FYI no mention of the policy on the app). I dropped them off early so that they could grab some food and chill. They go to do an early check in because they had an hour to kill. That's when I get the phone call that they are told they can watch the film. So I drive across town to go pick them up, and then decided that I would join them to watch the film because they really wanted to see it. When I saw Mr. Maxwell, I asked him about things and he gives me attitude. We will not be returning to this theater. Now I do understand policy, but to play makeup a fact... NOPE! Mr. Maxwell needs to get off his power trip, it's a freaking movie theater not a gun shop. read more

Upon looking for an open stall, most were disgusting and filthy. If you expect people to return to the theaters - you need to offer a quality product. On occasion I come here with my best friend to watch movies. I like this place for several reasons: 1) it's normally not to terribly crowded, the seats are very comfortable and the food at the concession areas is pretty good. This place is perfect for that dinner movie kind of situation because there's plenty of restaurant close by in addition to the little mini bar inside the actual theater. The price for tickets is usually 13.50 for regular and a bit more for 3D. The first movie I saw at this place was Jurassic Park: Fallen Kingdom. The movie wasn't my favorite and I'm like a die hard Jurassic Park fan. But the experience at this place really made up for the okay movie. The latest movie I've seen was Bohemian Rhapsody and I highly recommend it!! I love that movie so much and Rami Malek was a dream. As you know by now most of not all have "assign seating" where upon purchasing the ticket you choose where you wanna sit. I think this is a dumb idea because you run the risk of someone being a douche and taking your spot. However I've been lucky enough to never experience that. But I have experience a couple siting a seat away from my friend, like making out loudly and doing nasty stuff. I could care less about what you do just try to be aware and courteous to other people who wanna watch the movie. The staff is really nice and helpful. They've never hesitated to point us in the right direction to the bathroom and other areas of the cinema or if we need help with something. I want to note that this maybe different during movie opening nights or busy weekends. The place is very clean and it doesn't take too long for them to clean the whole theater for the next show. The "game/arcade" room is pretty fun especially when you're trying to kill time before your movie. But beware you'll spend some coins especially if you play the distant cousin of time crisis (I don't remember the actual name). I'm not gonna lie. The movies are expensive regardless of where you go. I spent close to 25 dollars on a ticket, hotdog and a drink. If you do want to save money at this location they have some type of Wednesday 5 dollar movie. Other than that this place is good location especially if you wanna see a movie first then go eat or vice versa.
