I am saddened to hear that the theater will close in 2027 - i go often for something to do. The theater itself is quite nice and no complaints about that. A local church, which already took over a fantastic business and forced it out of business, is again ruining Walla Walla. Cinemark says they will build a new theater but i doubt that will happen. We will now have to drive OUT OF TOWN JUST TO SEE A MOVIE! Walla Walla is pathetic. If you are reading this and are thinking of moving here - then think again. There is absolutely NO social outlets (except CHURCH or wine tasting) here - you will be bored out of your minds. Poor healthcare, no social amenities. Oh, there is enough wine to stay drunk if that's your thing. If you think you're going to do "outdoorsie" activities then you are mistaken. You don't want to end up on some property you're not supposed to be on or you'll be shot at - no kidding. I hate this town and if i had the money would leave. (BTW - my family has lived here since the beginning. My great grandfather moved here sometime in the late 1800's so i have EVERY right to be this bummed out!) read more

We showed up 15 minutes before the movie, "Ticket to Paradise" was to start (@ 1:30pm, so I expected to have to wait through advertisements before the main event. When 1:30 came I expected 3 or 4 movie trailers. Instead, there was a mix of movie trailers and advertisements for 1/2 hour!! Loved the movie, hated that I couldn't fast forward. AND, even with my warm jacket, I was freezing!! After this experience, I understand why people are staying away from movie theaters. I'd be willing to pay $1 more if you went back to three or four trailers before the movie is shown. read more

Service is absolutely horrendous. And when trying to call to speak to anyone in the office to let them know you get automated msg tht goes to nowhere. Just left theatre and I must say. I've never gotten food poisoning from popcorn butter before. But this time I left with the worst stomach aches/cramps and extreme diarrhea. This is the most disgusting feeling knowing it had to be this place I got this from. The only thing I've eaten today and last night I made a home cooked meal tht had zero effects on me. They show movies. The movie prices are reasonable. The refreshments are ridiculously priced, but that is true at every movie theater. The seats are comfortable and the person in front of you will not block your view. Both the video and audio quality is good. The bathrooms are clean. The cost to see a movie is reduced if you go before 6 p.m. They have special prices on Tuesdays. They have ample parking. All in all you will get to see a first run movie at a reasonable price. read more

Here's an $18 lesson I learned be very careful to pick the right movie. "All sales final" ‍ We went to watch a movie and it was crass offensive and disgusting to our taste. Which I realize is a personal thing. We got there a few minutes late probably stayed too long and were in the movie for 30 minutes. We finally were so disgusted we got up and walked out. We asked Michelle who works at the front counter if we could get a refund or perhaps a certificate to watch another show at a meter date. She said simply no and when we asked her why she said we had already watched too much. We couldn't really disagree but probably she didn't mean the same thing we did by it. We asked if she was sure that is what she wanted to say and she went back into the office where I suppose there may have been a manager. They never materialized but she came out and didn't say anything further to us but simple shook her head at us. We are not impressed or pleased. I don't hold a cinema directly responsible for the movie they put out or our ability to appreciate it. But if we were offended or otherwise put off by a picture it seems reasonable and I considered it common to refund the cost of admission or allow for another selection. I think she was less than hospitable and also whoever was the manager on December 28 at 5 pm could have done much better at helping us as customers. We don't have many options here in Walla Walla for a coming but I still think they could do much better. read more

You must pick you seat before they will print your ticket. The refreshments are over priced. They show advertising at least 20 minutes before movie. When movie is scheduled to start there is another 25 minutes of previews for other movies. No one sits in the seats they picked, except for one older couple that got there late, then got the usher to move the people that were in their seats. The new seats are nice, but would really recommend the management stops the rule about picking your seats first. read more

More Horror movies then any other genre. Would think whomever choose what plays at the theater is anti family. Completely makes sense why so few cars are in the parking lot more often then not. The theaters are pretty nice. Stadium seating and I haven't been pissed off by seeing an obviously mistreated print like I was once in Idaho when the sound couldn't track, cut out, and was replaced by 0dB white noise for 95 seconds. Tickets are too expensive so I only go when people trick me into it, and I've never purchased food or drink here because $4 for anything I could do twice as well for half as much in the comfort of my own kitchen (or one of the supermarkets that doesn't suck) is too much. Also, nothing given a limited release ever comes here until maybe the week before the Oscars, and only in that case if it was nominated for something. Conveniently, there are no other theaters in the area, so I don't really get out much. I've also had the pleasure of being seated next to at least two women who had conversations on phones over an hour into movies, and that was both kind of incredible and something I'd never experienced before. Went here tonight and watched Up In the Air (good movie, btw). The first thing most people will notice is you can't use a debit or credit card. WTF?! What year are we living in now? Why in god's name would you not set your business up to take CCs? That blows my mind. That did the most damage to my review. I was wavering between one and two stars, but rounded up because they're the only option in Walla Walla. Or does that make it worse? Movies (non-matinees) are $9 a pop. Bottled waters are $4 for a small $4.50 for a large (wtf?). Of course concessions are a cash-only affair. The seating is fine, they can do 3D, etc, etc. Not a bad place by any means, just ridiculous you can't get in if you don't have cash. read more

For a small town, this is a pretty good sized theater. The reason they get 4 stars, rather than lower, is because they now take credit card...thank goodness!!! It was a reallll pain when they only took cash. Pros: -Fairly new. -Nice bathrooms. -Clean...for a theater. -Good size. -I like the layout. Just two main hallways. Not a maze trying to find your theater. -Lots of parking, and for those big movie premieres, they have over-flow parking. -Good selection of concessions and popcorn seasonings (my fave) :). -Let the local colleges have special movie events/exclusive midnight showings. (At least I attended some WWU movie events, I assume other colleges do the same?) -Good location, kind of in-between Walla Walla and College Place. Which is good, since it's the only movie theater in the area. Cons: -Kind of expensive. (But I suppose all movie theaters are expensive nowadays.) -Line to buy tickets gets long during any prime movie-watching time. Maybe they could get more cashiers up there so the line moves quicker? -Could have comfier seats. -Close down earlier than what I thought was normal. read more

It's the only cinema in town . Ticket prices are standard in consideration to time spent and $ the cinema has to pay to bring in the movies . Concessions as usual in any theatre but it's where they make the money for payroll and profit . So it seems spendy but it's understandable . I have not had any issues before and it's always clean . read more

Have gone to this theater for more than six years. Prices are comparable to any other theater I have been to in that time. Concessions are pricey but whose aren't at any theater I've ever gone to. When one considers that WA is raising minimum wage to 15$ I am sure this is going to go up. With that understood I have no problem with the pricing or anything else. The theater is clean, the restrooms maintained very well, very adequate parking including disabled, which I am. One of the things I am very aware of is the number of disabled slots, surprising how fast they run out. They now take credit, and debit cards, at least the top 3, not sure about AMEX. Convenient to most eatery's in town, with exception of those at East Gate. All in All one of the better places to spend the eve in Walla Walla. read more

READY SET READ!!! The reason I am only giving a one star rating is because I think it is outrageous that they charge for children under 5 years old. In fact they start charging at 6 months old. Tell me, how much does a baby or toddler really get out of watching a movie. I guess that parents who pay to watch a movie should feel good this is cheaper than hiring a sitter??? What a joke. Well wow. The establishment plays a terrible movie, and about 40 minutes into it, my husband and I decide it's not worth staying for because it's such, and we should just get our money back, or at the very least an apology and a pair of movie tickets that we can use some other time; when we asked the manager she said no. NO?! But... we just... paid good money, for a mind-numbing, horrible waste-of- time movie... and Hallett cinemas refuses to reimburse or even strive to have a little customer service! I realize that this is the only movie theater in Walla Walla, so of course they have a monopoly here,but really? This is really disappointing. It would have really been nice to be able to look forward to having a "Better date night out Next time" pair of tickets to use, but I guess next time we want to go out, we'll just skip the movies and go for a walk around Bennington lake or something.... bummer. read more

I wanted to buy tickets for a movie, found out now you have to "reserve" seats? When I went to check out they wanted an additional $7 for a "service fee", now they won't get my $38 for tickets either! I'll just stay home and wait for it to come on Netflix. read more

Service is never been a problem for the most part but Marty probably shouldn't work in customer service. As customers me and the wife felt like an inconvenience and was annoyed that I corrected her three times on our order. I wouldn't have corrected her at all if she would have just listened. We all have bad days but this isn't the first time dealing with her. read more

I'd love to give negative stars, but this site isn't set up for it. I approached the counter to purchase tickets with my service dog. No questions asked, I was refused entrance the times. I showed documentation of my proof that she was an official service dog. Still no. I asked for a manger. They had to find some lost, secret form with questions that I had to answer. I had already provided all of the information I was capable of providing. I asked for the owner. Turned it he was lurkinging beside us watching this all take place. Kept telling me that there been hit before and that it was strict policy. By the time or exchange was over, I no longer wanted to give him my money. I asked for his card. He almost gave me one, but then asked an employee to go get me a special one, which did not even have his name on it. He was an over weight, curly haired mouse of a man. Wouldn't recoment this theater to my worst enemy. Reported him to the ADA. read more
