No rating, 0. Had to click on an undeserved star to do this. The changes that have been made are very negative in that there is no "service" to amount to anything. Customers are just on their own. No info at all. The screen above the person selling the tickets is gone so you have to ask what's playing and when. Then, it costs three or four times the amount of the movie to get popcorn and drinks and something to eat. $5.55 for a small drink!!! My God!! Come onnn!!! On December 28, we ordered 8 tickets online to see Pinocchio. While we were waiting in line for snacks, an employee requested that we put on masks, and handed us extra masks even though we told them we had masks. We accepted the masks politely but informed the lady that we have health issues to prevent us from wearing masks, but would use them if we were within 6-feet to another guest. My family moved to a corner by ourselves to wait for our friends. While we were waiting, I noticed the manager talking to the ticket taker in an aggressive manner and pointing directly at us, before stomping angrily straight towards us. She demanded we put on mask and refused to listen to us. She became upset when my husband informed her that she needed to step back six feet from us since she was too close and when we pointed out the other employees that weren't wearing masks or wearing them incorrectly, she became even more aggressive and angry towards us. She wouldn't back up 6 feet like my husband politely asked her to do repeatedly. She eventually backed up one foot, so that she wasn't yelling directly into our faces. My husband insisted that she back away farther than just one or two feet away, and she continued to raise her voice causing a large scene in the lobby with the other patrons. After asking her 10-12 times to back up, she finally complied and backed up to 4 feet away and held her ground. We then told her we went to the theater twice last week and didn't have any issues. She replied that she wasn't working last week when we were there, and we would do what she said or we would be escorted from the premises. We told her that we would wear our masks once our friends got done in the snack line, and if anyone got within 6 feet of us. At this time, we were 20-30 feet away from any other person, and she was creating a health security issue simply by getting in our faces and yelling at us. I have PTSD, among other issues, and we tried to explain to her that we were responsible adults that didn't need scolding or public shaming to comply. She wasn't interested in anything we were saying, and seemed more concerned about making her friend laugh about her harassing us in front of everyone. We complied with the masks and as we passed, the manager elicited a loud, "whew!" to the others standing at the counter. They all laughed and had a good time with their joke and public shaming. After we were settled into our chairs, my daughter decided that she needed to use the restroom. I put on my mask and as we were walking, the ticket checker started shouting "Ma'am!!" at us. We continued walking assuming it wasn't us since I was wearing a mask and minding our business. At this point, we are almost to the restroom and the ticket checker shouts "MA'AM!!!" in a now aggressive tone, and I turn around. This man had proceeded to leave his station and is following us to the restroom with a mask and starts shouting at us. I am floored. There are kids and teens walking around everywhere without masks and this man is following us, harassing. At this point, the manager walks out of a room and escalates the situation further. She cornered us and insisted that even kids are to wear them and began laughing when I told her she was harassing us. I then asked what her name was and she informed me that the ticket taker's name was Edward. I called after the manager four times before she said her name was "Mrs. Turner", hollered another loud "whew!" And stormed off. I spent two hours a nervous wreck as to how we were to leave the theater without being harassed again but we didn't see a single person as the movie was let out. I have never dealt with such an aggressive manager before. She refused to listen to anything we had to say and escalated the situation greatly. It is also unacceptable for a man or any other employee to follow women to the restroom. There was not one employee that stepped in to attempt to de-escalate the situation at any time. Any employee that jumped in, only had fuel to add to the fire. Everything they said was in the tone that a police officer would use towards a criminal. There was no mediator or respectful employee on the grounds, or at least none that dared question the manager with the red shirt. It felt like the teacher had left the classroom, and the school bully was calling all the shots. We have been reward members, and Cinemark Movie Club members since those programs began. You have the perfect storm brewing at the Texarkana location to run your place out of business. I understand that they believe they were "just doing their job". But, they behaved more like correctional officers in a prison than friendly employees helping guests. I wouldn't want anyone else that I come into contact with to experience what we did, and be treated so disrespectfully at what we had considered before this to be the friendliest place in Texarkana to bring our family. read more

This theatre was my "roadtrip movie" destination in the middle of a summer traveling around the USA. I caught a showing of NOW YOU SEE ME 2 in mid-July in an effort to not just spend another night at a hotel. It was fun to get a sense of Cinemark in its home state, as I have been a frequent patron of Cinemark locations in California, Delaware, Michigan and Massachusetts over the years. This location doesn't bring any surprises for megaplexes - and the location in the middle of a large strip mall area isn't the most convenient - but I can see how it would do well. read more

This is the closest theater to me, but that doesn't mean I have to like it...but I do. Cinemark Texarkana is a great theater with a range of movies showing. They have 12 screens, which will always have something you want to see. The only complaint is that sometimes they don't have enough employees at the concessions, but this isn't an ongoing issue. If you are traveling through or live in the area give it a try and enjoy a show with your family. read more

Cinemark is one of the best things Texarkana has to offer, especially now that the prices have become so much more reasonable. The hallways, adorned with photos of stars new and old, give this place a real classic feeling. The employees here are almost always nice, and the theaters/bathrooms clean. I went to see Stars Wars on Christmas day and watched it in 3-d. The movie was awesome although there were some cliffhangers that left u saying wtf? Can't wait for the next episode. I had the worst experience at this Movie theater today. I tried to take my nephew to see Deadpool and the Assistant Manager told me I had to bring custody paperwork and his birth certificate to see any movie, because I shouldn't question their age policy. I only asked "Why I was getting different information on the phone than in person about the age and Id policy." This was a abuse of authority and position. I shouldn't have to bring custody paperwork or anything to escort my nephew in a movie. He let 8 other people in the place buy tickets while I was still trying to talk to him. I usually love this theater! So on Christmas, my husband, a friend & myself went to see Unbroken. Our friend & I had just received Fandango gift cards for Christmas. According to Fandango's website, Cinemark Texarkana is included. However, when we tried to purchase tickets there, we were informed that Fandango is not accepted there. Went to this theatre, spent thirteen dollars on a large popcorn and a large drink with the promise of a free refill on both. Being as it was a late show when I went to get my refill at just after 11 o clock they had the whole lobby blocked off and they told me I couldn't get my refill because they had already taken the nozzles off the machines.
