Small theater, very old school and needs to be updated. Bathroom was filthy. However, prices are decent for a movie, popcorn, and a drink. When we did go into the theater and to our seats, there was popcorn and sticky residue that wasn't cleaned up. Popcorn was heavily salted, and the butter machine was foamy when we went the last two times. You can't beat the price, especially with the costs of the major theaters nowadays. But don't expect much in terms of food and cleanliness. read more

Don't order a pizza or anything they have to cook. They don't have enough people on staff. When I asked about the pizza I was given the answer they had to get through the crowd before they start the pizzas. Line was out the door and the movie was starting. Not sure if we will even get it before the movie is over. read more

It's no nice to have the theater back open in Yucca! Every time we've been has been a pleasure. Many of the seats are loungers. Highly recommended for those in the area - and it's less expensive than theaters in the Coachella Valley. read more

Hadn't been there for a few years. I wish I would have returned sooner. Watched Iron Lung and brought a friend who had never had such comfortable seats. I had knee surgery, and needed to elevate ( not all theatre's have recliners, but they were available). Going to go back again soon, popcorn and concessions were decent also. read more

I had an incident that happened at the yucca valley movie theater on mothers day I came with my children to watch the last movie ordered 3 pizza 2 cheese and one pepperoni. When I picked up and bit into my cheese pizza it was cold I came back to let them know and I would like my pizza reheated they said ok they would retext me when it was ready and that never happened. I came to check up on the order because my daughter was hungry. They told me it was being warmed up and to wait a minute but they didn't even know what they were doing because they give my pizza away to someone else they told me they had no more to offer me and my daughter while Armand was being very rude and petty almost rubbing it in my face. He was inconsiderate and told me that that pizza never come out cold and pretty much placing the blame on me. I even came back around and they were all talking about me when I walked back out and mocking me, because I was upset that they lost my food and my daughter was hungry. I used to support this place because I love my town but I will never come to this dirty falling apart movie theater because of your general manager. read more

Most of our experiences there have been good but on Christmas day we went to see MARTY SUPREME ,a new movie opening on CHRISTMAS DAY. The theater it was in was smaller than the others and so was the movie screen. Many of the seats were BROKEN, and we could not change seats because most were filled (probably 20 seats in the whole room).It was watching a movie in someone's GARAGE. I give it 4 stars for one big reason .. REAL BUTTER... yes that is right! Not that Motor Oil Stuff all the other places serve on your popcorn. You save money not driving down the hill . Part of this theatre was re done so they now offer 3D for some films and new clean seats.... When I 1st moved up here they had a frozen yogurt/soft serve machine . That was fun and I wish they'd bring it back. The snack selection is small but they probably realize that many people are just hiding a candy that they paid only 1 dollar for at Walgreens, RiteAid or one of the local grocery stores. If they ever stop serving Real Butter and switch to that popcorn motor oil I will not be going back. I know several other people who feel the same way as I do about the popcorn... A must stop off for tourist who realize in the middle of summer in Joshua Tree, Yucca Valley or 29 Palms there is no such thing as " Fun in The Sun " and want to get in the dark to relax the skin and hide form the daylight Sky Demon. Coming from the LA area, where a cinema ticket will cost $15-$25, and then you have the misery of having to find parking and battle crowds, I found this little Cinema to be right on. We caught a matinee, which was only $7. Concessions are really cheap compared to larger chain cinemas where a large bag of popcorn will set you back $8+. The actual cinemas are somewhat comfy, sound is good, and the screen was really clear and crisp. Sure, it's not like a 4DX experience, but the cinema really isn't that bad. Stop complaining over silly things, guys. read more

A little white trashy, but at just $8 for first run movies, it's the perfect way to kill time on a J-tree trip when the sun sets at 5:30 pm. Find a strategic seat lest you be forced to listen to one of the locals' running commentaries. read more

aside from the drive in in 29 palms and the theater on themilitary base, this cineplex is your only vestige for new movies. everything is relatively cheap, being theres no other theaters in a 30 mile radius. the nacho cheese is kinda watered down and their jalapenos taste more like pickles. theres plenty of staff and their always looking for fresh new faces to join their crew. not the best selection of movies but beggars cant be choosers. yeah i go here but i didnt say i enjoyed it, had it not been for good company. half of the building smells like urine, which is disgusting. 1 for convenience, 1 for ac. read more

Why does this place only accept cash? Why do they have such a small amount of candy? Why are the prices here so high? Oh, because they're the only indoor theater within many, many miles and they can. I can't stand being in the area because so many businesses are like this one and realize they're the only one within many miles so they don't give a f*ck. They don't even try. It is the only theater in town and they know people have to go here or drive down the hill to see a movie. It is not clean. You do not want to see what the seats look like when the lights are on. it smells in there and stuff will stick to your shoes while you are seated. I try to not go because it's just so nasty. I do not personally know this business owner but have heard (she?) is a good person. I wish she would think about how making the place clean, new carpet and upholstered seats would make all the difference in the world. read more

Let me start by saying, I should have known something was up when we and one other couple were the only ones that didn't arrive on foot. Low quality I can forgive, nobody expects imax in Yucca Valley. The service is HORRIBLE though, for no reason! We walked up to the concession and the girl was talking to the ticket guy, complaining loudly about her personal life. Then as she looked at us waiting there, we asked which register she'd like us at. She just turned back around to finish her thought with the ticket guy! So we stood at the register closest to her. As she walked by us to the other register she never even said a word, just stood there playing with the ice scoop and glaring straight ahead. It wasn't until we walked in front of her at the OTHER register and told her what we wanted that she even acknowledged us. If you have a car; drive to Twentynine Palms and go to the drive in, or head to a nicer theater in Palm Springs. read more

Just saw "Hotel Transylvania" with my son. The good: Prices were pretty affordable compared to the newer, high-tech venues. My son enjoyed the cotton candy which isn't available in most theaters we've been. The bad (and the main reason for the one star): Local advertisements. I've had a few friends in the movie industry from whom I've learned to stay for the closing credits. This theater displays local advertisements during the closing credits. Some may not care, but personally, I don't like it. In this particular film, beautiful sketch drawings were being displayed behind the closing credits but were obscured by the local advertisements. BTW, the smell in the theater isn't urine as reviewed by another but rather a mild developing mold. Overall, the theater is just slightly below average. Recommend the theater not show local advertisements until the credits are done. read more

It's the only indoor theatre in the Morongo Basin of the Hi-Desert (other than the Marine Base which isn't open to civilians), and has four screens. And that's it's major drawback, not enough movie selection. The sound system could use an upgrade as well. Hopefully they'll expand the place or build a new one with twice as many screens and state of the art sound. I think the area's big enough to support it. read more

Being the only movie theatre in Yucca Valley, it does the job. Be sure to get there atleast 15 min before the movie starts or you could miss the beginning! We've been to a few movies, where they didn't play previews and missed the first 5 minutes of the show. They only take cash at the door so be prepared (there is an ATM right in front). read more

The locals are typically rude. I can't ever seem to watch a movie without some punk with big holes in his ears yelling out the most neurotic and stupid commentary throughout the entire film. The sound sucks, the movies start early most of the time, and there is no real service or monitoring. The floor has been sticky every time I have gone, and I always feel like I am going to get infected with some kind of plague or zombie virus. The only good thing about this establishment is that it is relatively cheap. But the selection of movies in this theater is almost as bad as the selection of genetic material in the people that live in the town. read more
