This was the only place in our 2 night stay in Cambria where the Croatian woman working in the front store was most unfriendly. As much so as I even felt uncomfortable asking her to show me some earrings I was interested in that were in the case. If you're the around 22wr22rand reading this( And hopefully not that woman) You're really doing your beautiful store a disservice service by having an employee like that. read more

Gorgeous shop, rippling with color and texture, imports of high caliber and exotic finds strewn everywhere, from odds and ends to fine furniture to clothing and silver jewelry, furnishings and accessories, it's a treasure house of everything you didn't think you need till you saw it and boom, it hits you, it's the thing you've been waiting on forever. I may be a bit biased in that much of their stuff is from Tibet or India ... glorious objects of a sort not often or easily found here. In the back, they have a garden, which is better described as an oasis of calm and if you're in the Buddhist tradition, Zen, with cobblestones and greenery and plants, with knickknacks and racks of sale items, of which I scored a patchwork palazzo pants. The customer service is kind and friendly, not aggressively upselling or accosting, but where we had equations, the saleslady/owner indulged us. This is not to be missed. Street parking, especially on a weekend is tough so you'll need to be creative, but man oh man, is this the ticket. The prices are decent, especially for the type of merchandise they have, and be sure to lookout for the sales in the back. read more

We are so lucky to have Cinnabar right here in Cambria! Hubby and I visited this amazing gift store yesterday and were blown away by the myriad of unique offerings. But, the real reason for this particular trip was to fulfill my obsession for all things Talavera pottery! Cinnabar never fails to provide me with just the right addition to my collection and yesterday's visit was no exception. We needed some Talavera pots for our plants. We hit the jackpot with not one, but five different gorgeous Talaveras, including a rare black and white Talavera pot that will look awesome on the front porch of our black and white Tudor home. Can't forget to give a huge shout out to Kella who was working yesterday. She was a retailer's dream with her pleasant and helpful manner! She wiped down each pot (they'd been displayed outside), then carefully wrapped each pot in sturdy paper and boxed them all lovingly for their final destination to our house. Thank you, Kella! We'll see you again very soon. And don't want to leave the shop mascot out of my review. His name is Murphy and he's the most adorable combination of Border Collie and Basset Hound you've ever laid eyes on and oh so sweet. Cool store! Lots of handmade items and home decor. Lighting, crosses, Day of the Dead stuff. Lots of bright colors. There's an outside area, too. They had a really nice bird bath right next to the door...I would have loved to have brought that home with me! Maybe next visit. Super customer service. A while back, I purchased some great linen pants at the store and recently, when I wanted the same in a different color, they took down my phone number and said they would call if any came in. They did!! And I was able to complete purchase on the phone. Pants arrived 2 days later. APPRECIATED the ease of this. Besides that, the store I really cool and has a wide assortment of interesting decor, trinkets, clothing, art, etc. FUN read more

My husband and I visit Cambria several times a year. We love the shops and up until this recent trip our experiences have been fabulous! This time we went into Cinnabar and I purchased a cute little glass hummingbird to go in the back yard along side our feeder. The figuring was not properly wrapped up and when I opened the bag, the wing had broken off completely. The following day I called the shop and proceeded to tell the worker what had taken place. She said she would call the owner for direction as what to do. She was very apologetic, and said I should receive a call back. After not receiving a return call I decided to call back the next day. I was told by the employee that the Owner would call me in 2 days on Friday. Friday came and went with no call. I called again on Saturday and left a message on the answering machine. Saturday came and went with no call. I called again on Sunday. I spoke to a very apologetic employee, who stated she would reach out AGAIN to the Owner of the shop. In a few minutes I received a call from someone who began by stating that how foolish I was to call and "complain" about the glass figuring and that it was "my fault". for mishandling the item. I was floored that this person, who they claimed to be the owner of the shop, began to tell me to get over it and let it go. I was stunned and told her she must be kidding. She then said FUCK YOU and hung up on me. I could care less about the cost of the figuring as it was less than $10. I simply wanted to be treated with dignity and kindness. Clearly the only reason why this shop has any success is because of their employees. This Owner is a piece of SHIT!! Clearly she nothing about customer service, or how to work with a customer. Never again will I patronize her shop, and I hope that others will teach her a lesson in gratitude for her patrons!! read more

This is one of the neatest shops I've been to and it will be a stop every time I'm up this way. They have some really cool wares, they make sofas, and there was a lot of reclaimed wood furniture we were interested in. I didn't have a truck with me otherwise we would have driven off with some new furniture. I would recommend. Real nice owner. I plan on stopping by again sometime and perhaps picking up the furniture we liked so much. I highly recommend a stop by and it's right across the street from our favorite restaurant in Cambria, Robin's. read more

Cinnabar carries some very unique items for home decor, clothes, jewelry and art. They have artistic light fixtures that are unique and available in many sizes to accommodate your space. When the owners welcomed our dog into their store (with treats), it was a breath of fresh air! Considering no other stores welcomed dogs.... Cinnabar offers an eclectic mix of Folk Art, Fashions, and Furnishings from around the world... Inventory is hand selected by the owners, truly unique! Customer Service is Excellent!! They gave us directions to a local "off leash" beach.... Another bonus: Store is open much later than the other zzzzzz's in town... Love this Store!!!! read more

Every time I'm in town I have to stop in Cinnabar. It's such a great shop owned by the nicest people. Not only is everything unique but it all has a great story behind it as well. A lot of the stuff is made from recycled material. I have a few crosses I purchased here that hang on my wall and everyone compliments them. I recently bought a few bracelets here that are very unique looking and am really excited to wear them. They have everything from wall decor, to scarves, to jewelry, to dolls, to just about everything! To top it off the owners are the nicest people ever! The first time I was there I bumped a cross on the wall, of course it fell and broke. I felt awful and of course offered to pay for it. The owner refused to let me. She was so nice and gracious saying, "Look accidents happen." I bought a beautiful jewelry set that had a wood clasp on the bracelet and necklace. The earrings were multiple colored and matched the necklace and bracelet perfectly. The prices are fair and Magda is a lovely lady, I enjoyed shopping there and will return on my next trip to the area. read more
