This beautiful store has just gotten better over the years. They started out with a nursery in the back and gardening items in the front. The gardening merchandise like faux flowers, rhinestone bug and flower jewelry, and candles have just gotten more exquisite with passing time. There's really something for anyone that loves to garden here. I liked all the Bee information. On the drive up we, noticed a lot more bee boxes than we used to have in San Luis Obispo. There are still plants and garden statuary on the back patio. A walk through this store lets you experience an environment that will transport you to a peaceful and timeless place, just like any beautiful garden! After visiting a local coffee shop, the barista recommended I check this place out before we leave. She said it was pretty cool and definitely a must see. She was definitely right. As soon as you walk in you are transported to a different realm. There are various stores that sell plants, home decor, souvenirs, clothing, books, and so much more. Prices vary and some ar eon the higher end but unique. Outside looks like something out of the Labyrinth. I was waiting for David Bowie to jump out singing Space Oddity to enhance my experience. It was pretty cool and exciting. There are cool planters for your plant babies and cool, funky decor for your house. Reminds me of a boutique with a pinch of a thrift shop. Make sure to walk around fully since there are so many artists selling their items that you might miss some if you do not stroll through fully. The staff here was great too and looked super cool. They were helpful and helped us to find that perfect gift. So if you are in the area and visiting Cambria for the first time, this is a must see. This is an absolutely beautiful little garden shop with all kinds of gorgeous decor. It's actually connected with a couple of other shops. One with Succulents and another with other decor items. Got some fabulous plants. The store at the very front has a lot of stationary and plants and napkins and all kinds of home things with garden themes. This is strictly for the bad customer service. The store was super cute with lots to look at and the other vendors/stores in the back were also cute had friendly service.... We were a little bit early before the store opened and were waiting outside with about four other customers. At opening time, two older ladies opened the doors and came out to flip the signs to say "open". They never looked at the customers or greeted any of us and one of them complained that the sign was dirty and she had "just cleaned it" the day before. Then they went back inside. Later, I brought my items up to the register to pay and the white haired lady who had complained about the dirty sign was facing me and organizing tissue paper to wrap items in. It took her a couple mins, but she NEVER looked up to acknowledge me, greet me, smile at me or tell me she would be with me in a minute. When she finished organizing the tissue paper, she reached for the items I had laid on the counter, rang them up and told me the total. To be fair, she did say "thank you" at the end of the transaction. I really did contemplate making a purchase at this store. Customer service makes a difference for people. One of the items was a perfect gift for a friend so I went ahead with the purchase. If it were just for me, I wouldn't have. read more

The ladies that work here are so nice! Very helpful with plant education too. I love talking to them! The prices aren't cheap for most things but I have found some really unique plants that were priced decently. I would have paid more. Walk through the store and try all the stores in the back. This is such an underrated gem. Even cuter than Cambria's nursery and florist. As you walk in, there's a lot of potential things you could buy for gifts and souvenirs for friends and family- like books, soaps, indoor decor, and figurines. Then as you walk deeper, to the outdoor area of the store, it's like you entered a small village. It's filled with plants to check out, outdoor decor, and other small shops as well. That was pretty cool. - One of the vendors here (Junk Girls) might have some appeal for guys. I actually thought some of their rusty junk was pretty cool like gears and various tools. Sadly, I was the only one in our group that wanted to stay a while. - Another vendor, Grow, had their succulents on display all throughout the courtyard. They also had a cool selection of rocks and minerals for sale. - We bought a fake Water Lily from the Garden Shed for a small barrel pond in our backyard. I made it to The Garden Shed on Thanksgiving weekend just before closing time. They have so many little corners to explore with unique garden décor, plants, pottery and other garden accessories. In addition to the treasures to be found in the main store, if you venture to their back patio, there are several little smaller shops that are a part of this complex. Definitely wish I had more time to explore, but had so much fun getting ideas for my own garden and enjoying their well staged displays. Very cute shop. Nice people. However, I wanted to buy a little house plant and was very excited I found a nice fern for $7.00. The price tag was $7.00 in BRIGHT NEON YELLOW. When I got to the register they told me the plant wasn't $7.00 as listed.... but it was $33.50..... no where on the plant or pot was that price listed. They didn't honor that listed price of $7.00 and told me it was $33.50 even though there was only the $7.00 price tag listed. I was very upset. That was a price discrepancy on their end...and not right that they tried to charge that much for a product that was already priced at $7.00. Bummer. read more
