During my visit, one of the owners was in the back creating a design of her own, but unfortunately for me. I didn't go to the back to see what it was. Cactus Blossom is part retail shop and, I think, part work shop for locals who need a place to create and enjoy the camaraderie of others who share their artistic life. This is such a great store for finding something unique.

They carry women's clothing, jewelry, funny greeting cards, shoes, bags, lotions, perfumes they really have a little bit of everything. In addition to their new retail items, they also have a small upscale used section. I think even some of the vintage furniture scattered throughout the store is for sale. Very fun, everywhere you turn there is something fun to look at or even just a cute quote or joke to make you smile. I was impressed they carried women's sizes up to at least XXL. I thanked the owner for being inclusive with her sizing and she explained she runs the store with her sister. Make sure you stop in and support this women/family owned business. It's a must stop when walking the streets of Livingston.

There was a sign that clearly stated the return policy, which I was not incompliance with - But I asked about an exchange anyways. Not only did the gal who helped me bring me other pairs and sizes jeans for me to try on, she did so with a kind heart and understanding beyond what I was deserving of. She took a direct monetary loss simply for my own satisfaction as she will not be able to return or sell the jeans I returned. Thank you, thank you, thank you! You earned a lifelong customer today! Elk River Books apparently fancy themselves as not only being a bookstore, but also amateur internet sleuths. Unfortunately, they're not very good at it. This book was being sold as "one per order". Somewhere along the way, Elk River Books decided to change that to "one per family name". They cancelled my order and sent me an email stating that it appeared I was attempting to get around their "one per household" (they can't seem to make up their mind how many to sell) rule by ordering under my husband's name and having the book delivered to a neighboring home, whom Elk River also stated "per an internet search, the Kulinski's live there". As I stated, Elk River Books should stick to selling books because their detective skills SUCK. Even after I responded to their email informing them that our ADULT son, who shares my husband's name. RENTS the house next door from the Canadian family that owns it, they have not bothered to apologize to me or reinstate my order. Both myself and my son are HUGE fans of Kamala Harris. Now, thanks to the overinflated egos of Elk River Books, one of us will not be getting a signed book. I cannot recommend enough that you find another bookstore to patronize. This was complete overreach and absolute petty BS on the part of Elk River Books.
