I started getting my brows tattooed here years ago by Jodi. I was always in and out in 20 minutes and always needed to fill them in regardless of having a tattoo. I then moved to Ottawa and had them done by a woman here. It took her two hours to do the job from start to finish. They look incredible. I can't believe what happened . I found my 1 star google review was disappeared! They clearly find a way to delete bad review.   I would give 0 star if I can! I got screwed there. I booked Ellisa two month ago. They didn't plan to give me enough time to do my work at all.  They ask me to give credit card to book appointment. And change cancelation fee if you cancel within 48 hours. The day before they keep ask me if I can come early many times. That I have told them that can't. I was under the impression that I had to come early. So I said I can maybe come as earliest 1:45. I got there around 55. It takes 20 minutes discussing shapes. During the time I was very polite. Noting unpleasant happened.  I showed Ellisa the pictures I want for my eyebrows. And point on the pictures this side longer, this part rounder...make sure she knows. But the shape she draw was completely different. So I had to adjust into the shape I want. And then she just told me it doesn't take her that long to do the consultation. She can't make me happy, maybe go home think about it. Come another day. I can't do your eyebrows today! And she was blaming me change my mind! Then I find next customer was there 2:45. Then I realized they didn't plan to give you enough time to do your work at all. You only got one hour to do consulting, apply numbing cream, and tattoo.   How would one hour be enough for a tattoo on your face! I felt like treat with no respect at all!   Right after theirs's owner's review, Kevin called me. Tell me I can come back in two weeks and charge me $750 for the job. I told him what Ellisa did. You guys just waste my time. I would not come. And then he just lost and yelled at me! who do you think you can come and damage our company reputation! You are not welcome to come. read more

Jody is the shiznet!! My first appointment, I walked in with over tweezed 90's eyebrows and needed a miracle. I was warmly greeted by Jody and the staff. We talked in regards to what I wanted and what is to be expected, the process and the after care. When I left Jody and the staff said I looked 10 years younger. I actually started crying when I called my husband because I had eyebrows again -- FABULOUS EYEBROWS!! If I feel I want something enhanced after a session, they have no problem seeing me again. Me looking at a 10x's mirror must be their nightmare!!! I have been going here for three-four years now. The staff are still warm and welcoming and know me by name. I WILL NOT go anywhere else!! Jody and her team continually educate themselves and keep up with the market. Their pricing is on par with their expertise. Anyone complaining about the prices should have their head examined. Jody is very experienced in what she does so be prepared to wait about 4 months for an appointment with her. Her prices reflect her expertise of cosmetic tattooing as well. She's extremely quick in her technique and will do what she feels suits your face in her own style of eyebrows. Previously I only had my brows done by Tina Davies but after moving back from Toronto I needed someone local I could trust to refresh my brows (at full price unfortunately...lol). She reworked the faded colour and tweaked the shape and made them thicker adding hair strokes. I really love the shape, but I do feel they could be a little more even. She will address the minor issues at my 6 week touch up appointment, which is included in the price. Normally I'm used to being completely numb for the procedure, but I felt everything up until she was just about done. It takes about 15 minutes for the numbing cream to work, but Jody is so quick that she finishes the brows in about 20 minutes. I'm not gonna lie, it hurt quite a bit! It's not nearly as bad as getting eyeliner tattooed though and with hair strokes using the microblade it's not nearly as bad as an actual tattoo either. I can't wait for my follow up appointment to address some unevenness, but I am very impressed with my eyebrows nonetheless! read more

I have never written a bad review before regarding a business however I feel this is so important to share with others. I first of all would like to say my $850 experience with Jodi was absolutely so stoic and cold. I left the clinic feeling awful and like no one cared about me. It is clear Jodi does not care about retaining her clients as they are disposable to her as she has been made so popular. Jodi spent 15 minutes tattooing my brows. In this 15 minutes she made no conversation and was not friendly. Jodi seemed to tell me "you're going to have amazing brows" like she was just a machine reciting this. In my opinion it felt like there was a million other places she would rather have been. Secondly. I need to comment on how absolutely poor the work done on my eyebrows was. Jodi did not stencil them on. She "free-handed" which I have now learned from doing education, gives chance for some strokes to go deeper than others causing the tattoo to be more permanent. I was told mine will not fade for four more years (its already been two). So for 6 years I'm stuck with these awful eye brows. Jodi tattooed strokes ABOVE by eyebrow on my forehead that were no where near my actual brow line. This is absolutely awful and has left me feeling extremely self conscious and has lowered my self confidence immensely. I have had so many people come up to me asking where I got my eyebrows done and I have no problem saying do not step foot in cinnamon girl clinic, which all of them have thanked me for warning them (especially after they see my eyebrows). Cinnamon Girl is simply a fantastic place! From the moment you walk in you are put at ease by the warm welcome and The fun yet professional atmosphere. Then on to Jody's expertise and commitment to a wonderful result. I went to CG for a scar in my nose that really really bothered me and Jody was able to make it for all intensive purposes disappear. It took a couple of trips figuring out pigment and working around some colour from sun exposure but Jody knows her stuff, treaded carefully to make sure end result was fantastic and I am very very happy. Do not go here, terrible customer service after you use them, and the work is fast....and not bad, however. They do not respond to messages or care. Other places charge less, and seem to be much more helpful and customer service friendly. My wife and I sent several messages after she had her eyebrows done. They didn't respond to several- all were polite. I commented on there Facebook posting, again polite, and they just delete and block them. I had my eyebrows done about a year ago and was back several times to fix problems. I am an older woman and maybe this is why I felt there wasn't the same interest in listing to what I was hoping to achieve with their help. I now spend more time trying to make it look like I have a matched pair of eyebrows than I ever did applying pencil to my brows before. I know it's not just what I see but I have also been told by others that I have two very different brows. I had my eyebrows microbladed by Jodi first time 2 years ago. My first experience was quick and painful. Following this my brows bled and oozed for a week. During this time I called and was assured this was normal. Subsequently I had 3 other appointments to finish the job. Fast forward less than 2 years later, my brows now have a grey shadow. Another brow specialist commented the grey appearance is from going too deep. Prior to getting the procedure I powdered my brows daily, today I powder to fill and cover the grey tone of my skin. I got my brows done at Cinnamon Girl about four years ago and my only regret is that I didn't know about Jody Stoski sooner! The clinic is beautiful, staff are professional, Jody is incredibly talented, caring and fast. I spent the majority of my adult life in a perpetual state of insecurity until I made that first appointment at Cinnamon Girl. I am a cancer survivor and my already thin brows became even thinner after chemotherapy. Add insult to injury in that I am someone with naturally fair body hair but darker head hair, so I have always had to pencil my eyebrows in. Not only was it time consuming, it was an all-day stressor; are my brows smudged? Are my brows uneven? There was no wearing a cute toque in the winter, no swimming with my husband and stepsons, no supporting a close friend when she opened her hot yoga studio - my brows wouldn't survive! (People who have beautiful full brows will have a hard time understanding this and I'm sure are rolling their eyes up into their amazing natural brows - but my fellow unblessed friends out there are nodding in agreement.)
