For a girl who has a phobia of movie theaters (long story), I only go when I need to.. and that is mostly to appease by baby girl. Other than that, I try to stay far away. With that being said, the last time I was a theater was probably at least 7 years ago. So, I was pleasantly surprised by my experience at Cinepolis! During a holiday weekend when I expected it to be busy, it was very manageable. Very close parking to the theater.. inside is nice and welcoming. I appreciated the menu options for food and libations. I LOVED that our first cocktail came out in a glass with a fancy piece of ice lol. I was disappointed that our second one came in a plastic cup.. We only ordered popcorn but my friend loved the truffle parmesan one. Inside of the theater, spacious and (as clean as they can be) seats. Very spacious leg room in front. The only complaint was that the bass was a little out of whack and distorted parts of the movie. I would have liked an option to not have to get up to place any additional order (you miss parts of the movie).. but, overall, I did really enjoy the experience. So much so, that I may drive an hour to this theater again when the time comes for any future movie magic in my life. read more

I'm an AMC girlie, but my niece lives in PA and this was a half way point for us. This theatre was very nice. The chairs were comfortable and the theatres were small and intimate. The food was good, it's a movie theatre so you're not expecting anything Michelin. But there churro donut! Highly recommend! Our bartender Justin was so honest with us. He let us know that the drink we wanted was not a crowd favorite but asked us to trust him with his own suggestion. He hit the nail on the head and we were happily surprised ! Totally coming back! The one up that AMC has on Cinépolis is that you can order off the app and get it delivered to your seat. Here we had to get in line and order and then it would be taken to our seat. We always like coming to this theater, however, the past several times we found it extremely dirty the manager smokes in the side area in is there every time we come, and it smells like cigarette smoke and their cigarette butts laying around also, the theater itself is dirty. I've enjoyed previous experiences, but tonight was atrocious. Teenage boys sitting in the aisles rather than chairs. We ordered food and drinks and it took an hour before we decided to get up and ask for the drinks, another 20 minutes later we asked for a refund for food and got attitude. I was there to watch Lilo and Stitch, the lady who sell the tickets didn't want to show me the merchandise that just arrive for the movie, it was in the back, practically hidden for the customers, I didn't see anyone with the cups, there were all gone she just told me in a nasty way "it is $30", but she didn't want to show it to me, I am a customer who just bought 2 tickets. We've been going here for about a couple years now. The theatre and staff are very good in attentiveness and service. At first, the biggest draw for us was high quality and care with preparation of cocktails and food. As far as movie theaters go, this is a five star experience for me, all around! I absolutely love the reclining seats. The lobby area, bathrooms and the theaters themselves are very clean (by movie theater standards). The food options are extensive and I've enjoyed everything I've ever eaten here. I LOVE that you can order all kinds of mixed drinks at the bar and sometimes, your drink comes in a real glass! I regularly drive a little out of my way to come here. We didn't have a good experience at your cinema. The staff is high school students who can't even bring 3 items. How can someone order more items if 3 is too much for them? Chatting is more important to them than working. You have about 30 employees, but they do nothing. This was the last time we went to your cinema, it's not worth it. read more

I thought the theater and all they offer was surprisingly nice. A couple things to mention: When entering the theater nobody was there to check my online stub. I literally could've just walked in. Just like a family did to my theater about halfway through the movie and made some considerable noise. My screen picture quality was dark and out of focus. It was hard to see at times. Not a bad theater all together though. It's clean and there's a lot of different food and beverages to order. Wish ticket prices were a little cheaper but they keep going up. Not sure who these miserable souls are leaving bad reviews for this place.... I went here for the first time last night with my husband for a date without our little kids, woohoo! I can not wait to go back! We got popcorn, sounds silly but it was totally delicious-super fresh, real butter , not sure what the magic was that they put in there, but it was way better than normal theater popcorn. Our drinks were amazing as well. We had an old fashioned and a tequila grapefruit Paloma. Yes a little pricey, but worth it!The very kind servers happily came to us and served us everything at our seats. The drinks were strong and excellent and served in real glasses. The cushy seats recline and there is a swivel table tray. Seriously, this is such a genius idea to have an experience like you are as comfortable as you are at home, but even better with all the other added luxuries. On our way out, I saw they serve real food - like really good looking burgers and loaded tots that I would love to come back and try. The theater itself and the bathrooms were super clean. This place and my experience here earn a solid 5 stars. Whoever said it was not luxury I am sorry they may have had a bad experience, or just don't know how to appreciate anything. Or maybe there are fancier places that exist that I don't know of. I really don't know what more you could want, though. It could be they are jaded vs I don't get out much, but I would compare it to flying coach vs flying a good first class. The depressed unappreciative cheapskates leaving lackluster reviews can go elsewhere, but if you are looking for a fun and nice place to bring a new date or even a spouse of 20 years, this place was great and I highly recommend it! Nicely renovated, the seats are power reclining leather which is a huge improvement over the old narrow hard chairs they used to have. It's now a dine in theater which has a great selection of food. I've only tried the vegetable pita which was delicious, but I'm sure the rest of the menu is great also. Everything feels luxurious and brand new now. It's great to go here again. read more

So I went to this Theater tonight and I figured out how to use the ticket costs and order my food but when I ordered my food I realize that I didn't order a drink so I had to stand online to get a drink probably five or six minutes anyway. I ordered something called the spring roll. Now to me a spring rolls is like a fried egg roll. Well not these guys (I have included a picture of what Cinépolis calms a "Spring Roll"). You want to talk about slimy and hard to eat?? I would definitely not order the spring rolls!!! I would give them an F on that culinary delicacy. Don't order them!!! We Go at least 1x a week. Love this theater. Not only is it clean and well priced, but the seats are amazing and the service is top notch. Every single person from the lovely bartender who is always there on Thursdays (wish I could remember her name) to the food runners does a great job! Even the manager is running around and helping his staff and customers. If you are close to Hackettstown it is 100% a theater to go to. We used to go to Manville or Bridgewater theaters and this place blows them out of the water. Also, Join the rewards, the deals and coupons are great! read more

Overpriced, overpriced, overpriced!!!! Old, old and old. Did I mentioned overpriced? Not worth it at all. It is incredible that a movie theater in such small town can be so overpriced. $13 for and adult ticket! I'm used to pay less than 10 in Secaucus NJ for leather recliner seats. But I moved to Hackettstown and now I have to pay more. Over $5 for a small bag of Twix. There were about 5 broken seats with yellow tape all around them...I was not impressed, I was actually disappointed. I will not be visiting this place ever! UPDATE 3/8/20: The theater has been remodeled and it's a day and night difference. Seats are comfortable and they now serve food and alcohol. Really well kept place but that's pretty much all I can say about the place. I preordered tickets online and when I walked in there was only one person working and he was completely preoccupied by the couple sitting at the bar. I stood at the counter for awhile to ask if anything needed to be scanned and he completely ignored me and carried on with his conversation with the couple sitting at the bar. I eventually just walked to the theatre where my movie was playing thinking that maybe someone would scan my ticket there but surprise no one was there either. I literally went in and saw my entire movie without having any interaction with a staff member. I essentially could've just walked in for free and no one would've noticed. read more

I go here to see a movie. Worst experience ever. Watered down coke, cold popcorn, dirty theater. They never even cleaned it from the previous move so there was popcorn and garbage everywhere. Then. The worst part. There was lines across the movie screen. We paid to see a movie. Not one with lines across the screen. Next time I want to see a movie. I'll go the extra couple miles to either Regal in P-burg. Or AMC in Rockaway. Because neither of these have lines across the screen, or dirty theaters. read more

First time at this theater. First the good. I like the small theaters and selecting your own seats. The oversized, plush, electric recliners are delightful (Could he dangerous if you go to a movie tired). We did not order any food, but it all looked and smelled good. Now the bad. The trailers prior to the movie started were literally ear-piercingly loud. I was afraid my ears were going to bleed or an ear drum might get ruptured (no exaggeration). I went to speak to the manager about turning it down and was told "the trailers are a little bit louder than the feature." I told him, no, they were uncomfortably loud, and his response was that they are just a little loud. I asked another employee to speak to someone about turning it down and he got back to me and told me that the manager said they are only a little louder for advertising purposes. The trailer volume was ridiculous. Management's ambivalent response was also ridiculous. If you go here, seeing as you have assigned seats, don't sit down in the theater until after the trailers are over. Oh, if you have an issue, don't bother telling management, they don't care. read more

This is a very nice, very spacious dine-in theater. Unlike the ones we have been to previously, at this one you do not order at your seats, but rather at the counter before you go into the theater. They brought the food promptly, and it was pretty good. There were only 4 rows in the theater with a large amount of space in between each row. The seats fully reclined with elevated foot rests, so it was exceptionally comfortable. I would recommend it. read more

Just drive the extra few minutes to Rockaway or Bridgewater. 15 dollars for a movie ticket in the middle of the day on a weekday. Yeah the seats are more comfortable than a run-of-the-mill theater but not 5 dollars extra good. The way they do things is also a pain. Gotta stand in the same line as some idiot buying 10 dollar popcorn and 8 dollar Miller Lite just to buy your ticket. On top of that the screens are rather small so that kinda sucks. Like I said before, Rockaway and Bridgewater are worth the drive. read more

Many of the negative reviews here are from before the remodel. Just took my daughter to watch The Lion King. What a transformation. Seats are comfy and place looks amazing. Staff is super friendly and accommodating. A server even offered us free popcorn. Great experience. I had the fries and chicken wings and they were delicious. I wished we hadn't shared. I wasn't a fan of the popcorn before since it always tasted old and stale however the popcorn was fresh and buttered. Overall a great experience and I can't wait to go back. It helps this theater is near my home since I will be definitely taking advantage. read more

Terrible theater. I am from CA where Cinépolis=luxury. Not here. This theater is old, dirty and the seats are so terribly uncomfortable. The staff was not friendly. No one greeted us at the door...we had to go to the concession line to show our tickets. The popcorn wasn't even good. I will never go back.
