I've gone to this movie theatre for many years and they have done very well on the reservations! If you go through the hotel you can see that everything that used to be under construction isn't anymore and is business or seating areas for meetings. I was a little nervous to visit after reading some other reviews, but I was pleasantly surprised during my visit. This AMC is located inside the Hyatt hotel. The hotel and theater share a parking garage. After purchasing your movie tickets, you can validate your parking ticket inside at the kiosk right behind the ticket booth. Once inside the theater, there were power reclining seats, which were very comfortable and spacious. There was a little bit of something spilled on mine, but that's to be expected at a movie theater. Bathrooms were pretty clean. I recommend checking out this theater if you are looking to see a movie in the area. read more

On 5/14/26 I entered theater 9 to watch the movie Sheep Detective. As I went to my seat F4, I was hit with a stench words cannot describe. The mix of sour butt and BO was sickening. Eventually my friend and I could not take it anymore and ran to the bathroom. Sadly, we did not make it and threw up on the entrance floor (sorry about that). I wear the same shirt pretty much every day. Sometimes, the same pants, but almost always the same shirt or overshirt (it's like a regular long sleeve shirt, but a little bigger). Because of this, I match my lightsaber to this particular shirt. Other AMCs have allowed me to bring a lightsaber in the theater, so I did not expect a problem here. First issue was the computer gave you an option for English, Spanish and French, but no Sri Lankan? Was very difficult for my partner to purchase our tickets. It was his turn because I jumped higher than him! Then, the concessions menu was diverse. Popcorn, hot dogs, standard chill movie food. But no salmon? Or at least salmon sliders? Definitely disappointing. When we walked in the theater, we were met with some sideways look. It couldn't have been my new haircut (my hair doesn't grow) so I was confused. I realized the looks were coming because of my lightsaber! Did I need to bring one to see Zootopia 2? Maybe not. This is our go to movie theater in the morristown area. The theaters are clean modern and staff has always been helpful. The concession stand has the basic options with a few hot food items which is nice. Most of the theaters have the reclining chairs. Only issue every now and then they don't work. read more

This place is a dump. After parking underground we were obliged to walk through the detritus caused by the hotel renovations...okay not an AMC problem, but it didn't get much better once inside AMC. The carpeting is probably better in the illegal immigrant shelters and there was food crap everywhere (popcorn and wrappers). The carpet has NEVER been cleaned and there's more than a faint odour of stale food. The only "food" concession sells popcorn and a small bottle of water....for $17!!! We've not been to a movie theater for about a year...this is a good reason to go and buy two lazyboys, a bigger TV and a popcorn machine...then I can skip the interminable trailers and even light a fire in our living room. On the good side...the film was great "A Complete Unknown"...go and see it ! This particular movie theatre is FILTHY... My family and I have seen 2 movies within the last 2 weeks and have been stunned at the level of uncleanliness of the theatre. Every single part of it was dirty: 1) Carpet is not vacuumed ( balls of dust everywhere , popcorn ,candy wrappers, large statins from drink spillage) 2) Each separate theatre is not cleaned after each movie viewing ( the chairs are dirty, torn and wet at times); 3) the bathrooms are uncleaned ( dirt on floors , walls, water stain on walls and faucets, and bad odor) 4) Concession stand is barely opened and is dirty We have never seen anything like this in any movie theatre... I wanted to speak directly to a manager but there was no one to speak to and thus I had no choice but to write a poor review... PLEASE CLEAN the theatre. I haven't been to this location in years. They have done a great job with the renovation! It's not a well known location which I love. We decided to catch an early show - matinee prices baby! They offer reclined seating. It's the best way to watch a flick. The location was clean (especially the rest rooms). Staff was friendly. Now with the mobile app (I am sure it's been around for years - cut me some slack I haven't been to a movie in years), check in and ticket purchases are a breeze. Parking is in large parking deck and you don't even have to walk outside. They even validate your parking ticket. Enjoy! read more

I've seen a couple of movies at this AMC. It's usually when going to the movies with friends who live in the area in Morris County. Nice theater. It's your standard AMC. I love those red leather, stadium seats; very comfy! Tip: if you're driving over and parking in the deck there, pay attention to where you parked and remember how to get back to your spot. We saw a late night movie there - our first time at the theater - and we ended up taking the d*mn elevator up and down trying to find our car. Lesson learned! This place should be condemned !! The roof is leaking into the theatre and you hear drips of water going into huge garbage cans the whole time your watching the movie . It smells of mold and mildew and it's dirty . The carpet hasn't been vacuumed in decades ! We will never return . It probably has a huge rat problem given how filthy the place was . read more

this place is perfect for me I love a nice, spacious, comfortable movie theater. I hate overcrowded and limited space areas so this AMC is great for me. I feel like I am at home watching a movie so comfy but be careful it is way too comfortable and in two occasions I felt asleep while watching a movie also they sell some awesome nachos and their pop corn is delicious. This theater is all about the seats- super comfy with a chance of getting kinda close. Rows of pairs of semiautomatic recliners have middle armrests that you can flip up to get closer to your neighbor. You can buy tickets online or in-person and select seats beforehand which especially helps for premieres. The attached parking deck sometimes feels a little "Rape City" but it's convenient (parking's free when validated at the ticket counter) and never full in my experience. Super friendly employees keep this theater clean and it's quite walkable from several good eats, treats, and bars. read more

This theater seems to have been forgotten. It was interesting to me that on the second week of a box office smash that I would be seeing it in a smaller theater with reserved seating. The day before Thanksgiving my show was in the downstairs theater but concessions were closed so you had to go up two stories to get your food. I'm not lazy, but if you have refills on your popcorn, you don't have much time to run upstairs to get it. So the theater had the best full reclining seats ever. It is probably the new way to still get people in the theaters by having better popcorn and seats than you have at home. The only problem is that reserving the seats was dumb. We were 3 people and the dumb system only lets you go for 3 seats in a row rather than one behind two others so we had to sit over on the side. I have an AMC rewards card so a small gets uploaded to HUGE. If you have close to a 3 hour movie you will have to go to the bathroom! Lol. The sound quality was nice although you could hear the movie in the adjacent theater during the quieter moments. read more

Convient location and clean theaters. Needs better Management. 2 of the 3 kiosks are still not working since we were here 2 months ago, so expect a line to get tickets. The ticket taker insists on collecting the entire group's tickets for some odd reason, which holds up the line too. They validate parking passes which is cool, remember to bring your parking ticket and give to the ticket checker. For not the first time, someone burned the popcorn, and the lobby is smoky.  May not be able to get popcorn quickly. Popcorn station messy. 1 Star Rating. Arrived at 9:37pm for a 9:45pm movie. The very pleasant girl greeted us and we paid for the tickets. She was the only thing good about our experience. Went to get salted pretzels... this is where we were rudely greeted by a younger man who clearly hates his job. At 9:37 the "hot food" which is food warmed in a microwave oven was unavailable. There should be some type of advertisement for evening showings if they decide to close the "hot food" down before movies even start. So here we sit in the dirty theater that hasn't been cleaned for this showing eating stale popcorn because that was the only option we had. Because I paid $25 I will sit here and suffer. One word for this place ... Disqusting. Garbage was everywhere . Only had one guy working the trash that day . Food concessions were on the bottom floor than the main floor ( closed off for the night ) which is a minor nuisance. Prices and services for the food is what you expect from a normal amc. Seating was nice and comfy (albeit the garbage that was around the theater ) and the movie that I saw was lovely . What really got me scared for my safety was that my boyfriend walked into the movie theater and told me NO WORKER was there . Meaning people can just walk in and out without any security . This theater could have a 5 star rating if it wasn't for how absolutely dirty the place was. I went on a Monday night (not a busy night) there were 4 people including us in the theater. The stairs down had crumbs and popcorn all over them. The concession stand was an absolute mess popcorn on the counter and on the floors. Soda spilled all over the place. 3 kids behind the counter w only 2 customers and they apparently aren't told to clean. Blame the employees all ya want headquarters but this is just plain old HORRIBLE MANAGEMENT. Teach your workers what to do and then MANAGE THEM. Let's add to this that it was $25 for 2 people. $18 for pretzels and 2 small waters. And then they hit you with $8 to park. This all says one thing F this place read more

Oh you fancy now? Motorized reclining seats. Hello! You can put up the armrest between you and your loved one and you can cuddle like you are in your own home. Simply amazing. Maybe I don't go to movie theaters that often, but I have never been to one like this before. Screw stadium seating, this beats it, by a lot. It's amazing and out of the box ingenuity that AMC would sacrifice the volume of seats for a lesser amount but a more comfortable experience. Heck it's beyond comfortable. The sound insulation between movies was good. All soda dispensers are touch screen. Everything is updated to the latest standards. Excellent job. I can't give it 5 stars because it wasn't an absolute perfect experience. There was a little issue leaving the parking garage... I know it's not really AMC's fault, but it's still part of the entire experience. I could also see an issue with the single cashier ticket line, with people taking long to decide where to sit. read more

This is by far my favorite AMC location. Incredibly comfortable roomy seats that fully recline, clean concession areas, nice bathrooms with ample stalls, and high quality screen with good sound systems! We have been multiple times to see different movies and have always been very impressed. Very worth it to be a Stubs member too for expedited concession access and free drink and popcorn upgrades. Also nice to be able to have reserved seating especially for newer movies. read more

What a great place for a nap, nothing like a huge motorized recliner with 4 feet of legroom! Oh they show movies too? I guess that explains the $7 bag of popcorn with "butter flavoring" on top lol. I broke my long cinema boycott to see the latest star wrz. The theater is soooo way better than before: reserved seats, no sticky floors, nobody yelling at you if you put your feet up, and no stragglers mashing your toes on their way into the last seat. The front row is almost bearable if you're flat on your back :) Still no beer tho. I hear Eric the human ticket punch is working the gate again but I didn't see him. As far as movie theaters go, it's great. There are Coke Freestyle machines near the concession stands, and they validate parking for the garage for up to four hours, letting you walk to the Green or South Street if you'd like to grab food afterward. The sound systems are in good shape, the video quality's fine, and the reclining seats are a revelation. This isn't the easiest theater to find for first-timers. The entrance to the parking garage (which, again, they validate for) is on Spring St. Then you want to take the elevator up to the main floor. If you're coming on foot, then there's an entrance next to the Hyatt, on Speedwell Ave. You can reserve seats ahead of time on Fandango, which lets you see how full the theater is and know where you'll be relative to the screen. If you make an account at Fandango's website, then you can also return the seats for a refund so long as you give notice at least 2 hours prior. Note that Fandango doesn't spare you from the actual ticket line--you have to show the barcode that Fandango will text you to the person at the cash register, which they convert into the actual paper ticket. Don't go directly to the guy tearing up the tickets. This theater is my first choice for anything that's out. read more

One of the better theatres I've ever been to. All of the chairs are big recliners and are very comfortable. I would recommend buying tickets online, especially if you're going in a group, because the seats are assigned. There is a convenience fee for buying tickets online but this is waived if you're a stubs member ($12/year). Just don't sit in the first 2 rows, they're way too close to the screen. Concession prices, like any other theatre these days, are absolutely ridiculous. They do have those giant select your own flavor coke machines though, which is a nice touch. read more

Very comfy place to see a movie. The seats recline and are super relaxing, enough to doze off in. We reserved our tickets to Bohemian Rhapsody online ahead of time. Parking at the Headquarters Plaza parking garage is free - you just bring your ticket to the theater and they validate it. And you don't have to brave the elements, you stay underneath or within the building to and from the theater. The theater is actually on three floors, the middle one where you check in and get your parking ticket validated and then small theaters upstairs and downstairs from there. Sound is great. There are also a few restaurants inside the complex if you want to make it a dinner and show outing. We went to an early weekend showing and the tickets were much cheaper than normal plus the movie was great. Never knew this theater was so convenient! read more

The best place to watch movies. This is the only theater I'd watch movies unless I missed a movie that I really wanted to watch and this theater doesn't have it anymore. The place is neat and clean, every single recliner works without issues. People are very nice here and I also get my parking validated. Food is also great. Definitely try the curly fries - I love'em. One tip though - when you park at the garage, make sure to take pic of your car along with the car on your right and left. There is no camera and some guy dented my car. I couldn't proof anything when I called the cops. So now I take pics to make sure if that happens again I have some way to get back to someone with something. It's not full proof but something is better than nothing. Security guard was also very helpful at the late hour. read more

Spacious, quiet, and CLEAN! What more can you ask for your local theater to be? This AMC, like many of its other locations, also has big red reclining seats. I do love that we now get to reserve our seats online prior to movie time! The idea is similar to booking a restaurant reservation ahead of time. I'm ALL ABOUT planning ahead to avoid a headache at the place itself. Location is easy to get to since it is situated in Headquarters Plaza, a few hop skips away from Morristown Green. Do not, I repeat, DO NOT reserve the seats in the rear section. They are "balcony" seats, where you are watching the movie through smudgy tempered glass and vertical seams between the panels. I gave it a second star (instead of just one) because the manager in the ticket booth kindly moved us to a better seat on the main level after we went downstairs to request this.
