I came to this dermatologist because I had somethings ok my legs that I wanted to be checked out. The first time I went the doctor cut out a small ball that I had on my leg. She said that by cutting it off it would obviously go away. A couple of days ago I notice that the small ball that I had before was still there. So basically She cut nothing because whatever she did didn't work. They also told me that they would call me for the biopsy results and it's now been a month and I still haven't gotten a call. I schedule another appointment for a month later to go and see another doctor about something else. I get to my appointment and they tell me that I had cancelled my appointment which is a complete lie. The first time I went I waited for 1 hour and 30 minutes and I only had one person in front of me. This is very unacceptable. I do not recommend coming here. There are many other dermatologist in Miami that are much better. read more

first time visit. located right north of the 878 ramp on 87 ave. look for bldg A. lobby area is pretty big compared to other doctors offices. the paperwork is very outdated and even req you to release your SS#. the rest is pretty standard. the initial visit will set you back but w my insurance covering $75 i paid a little over $40... overall, pretty reasonable. the staff and nurses were nice and attentive and the doctor was precise and professional... The whole wait and visit was efficient and I was out of there in less than an hour so that itself merits high marks... read more

I had brought my son to Dr. Ciocca a few years ago and had a great experience but, in light of more recent reviews, I was a little hesitant to return again. However, after our visit today I can honestly say that we would definitely recommend Dr. Ciocca and staff. Dr. Ciocca (not a PA) met with my son herself and evaluated a recurrent condition that brought us back to the office. After discussing some options, Dr. Ciocca PERSONALLY called the pediatric surgeon's office manager to get my son seen as soon as possible. I cannot tell you how much this meant to me as a parent. I am so grateful for her time and attention today. Yes, you will wait a few weeks for your appointment but, at least for me, it was worth it because I had a great experience with Dr. Ciocca. read more

PA examined daughter even though appt was made specifically to see the Doctor. PA gave one diagnosis that we already knew was WRONG because we were already diagnosed and referred by an infectious disease specialist at Nicklaus Children's Hospital, but she ignored us. We refused to leave until the actual doctor saw her, (which took well over an hour after already waiting an hour to see the PA), & the doctor confirmed the other specialist's diagnosis, however the she was completely unbothered that her PA misdiagnosed a serious autoimmune condition and was mad AT US for being upset about it, claiming that the PA has worked for her for six years. WHO CARES if she is misdiagnosing children!! Save your patience and the likelihood of being misdiagnosed. read more

I was recommended here by my awesome pediatrician. Let's start by saying that I flew by this place and had to turn around. When I finally pulled in the parking lot was crazy and people were parked every where. Since the paperwork I had didn't say what building they were in I had no idea where it was. I found parking in the back and just walked. So no need to fight or try to squeeze into a space in the front just go to the back park and walk. I didn't see the Doctor we saw the assistant which was fine. We did have a bit of a wait which was expected. When we came back for a follow up it was much faster. Down side is that a lot of the kids that come here act like their shit don't stink and so do the parents and let their kids run wild. Tame it down people! read more

Honestly I really don't write reviews unless I necessary need to and want to tell others what to expect... First of, I've been seeing Dr. Ciocca for about 5yrs or more when she was working with another practice until she opened her own. I am very fustruated and disappointed on how her practice has changed so much. To make a appointment on two different occasions is a complete nightmare, I've literally had to wait on the phone before someone answered for 20 mins and the time before for the same time, ridiculous!!. When I asked the girl who finally answered why it was taking so long for someone to answer the phone, her response was," We are very, very under staffed " ... WTH Not only was she completely rude and very incompetent may I add which was what I told her, but she put me on hold again for another 5 mins without saying she was only for another girl to answer to ask me exactly the same thing after waiting in total for 25 mins just to make a appointment. The problem with this is, it was not the first time it's happened when I call the office and good luck to get someone to call you back, it's truly unbelievable. It's very sad to say that at this point I'm still waiting for Dr. Ciocca to call me back for a message I left for her. Neat less to say that I will not be returning to her office anymore. I have referred to her so many family members and Co workers that now I've had to inform them all not to bother going or for that matter, calling to get a appointment. Just wanted to have my daughter's standard bout of acne checked out and advice given; made a 9:15am appt; arrived at 9am; handed over the insurance info and new patient paperwork and still 45 minutes later - not called in; (3) other clients arrived after me and were seen before us; needed to get child back to school and all the front desk staff said was they were on hold waiting to verify my insurance; are you serious? So wasted my time and my child's time while they were waiting to verify my insurance? What they should have done as all my other doc offices do is get that all cleared over the phone when I made the appointment; email me any other paperwork to email back; so when I come in for a 9:15 am appointment; I'm not waiting for them to verify my insurance; had to leave - disappointed; never got a chance to see the Dr nor PA. We're in Miami folks; competition all over; time to check out the next option. Wake up. read more

I'm truly in love with this place ! Very clean.. floors are beautiful ! first person I saw was jailene front desk she is very sweet and helped me with everything I needed . The process was oftly quick I was in and out within an hour . Due to my previous experiences at other pediatric dermatologist i usually would wait about 2 hours and not even see the doctor . But here I got to see the doctor she is very precise she knows what she is talking about , treated my child as if she was hers .. she actually SAT DOWN and spoke to me not many doctor do that now a days !! Her medical assistant Denisse is a beautiful person very kind to my child ! Hopefully I will be able to see her next follow-up appointment ! I find her very helpful ! recommended me to go to a specialty pharmacy for a lower copay of my medications and that is the best recommendation she can ever give me half of my prescriptions were FREE ! She took her time to explain to me how to use each medication and she understood how badly I needed the relief of my child's condition !! I truly want to say I'm very pleased with this office and you bet I will be coming in for myself soon !! I saw they have cheaper deals for mommy make overs unlike other places !! "THE MOST UNPROFESSIONAL "medical office I have ever dealt with and I'm in the industry. Came in and had a skin biopsy performed on my cheek. Asked for a rush knowing that my father has had melanoma skin cancer. Called in on Monday to get results and was told the Nurse would be calling me back. Three hours went by and I called after not hearing from anyone and was told they would call me in the afternoon they were seeing patients. I asked if it would be possible to come in and pick up the results they said they would print them out and I could come in.I was worried that they would be positive so I drove down and like normal they hadn't printed anything and I was given a form that said nothing about the biopsy. I asked the young lady if it was positive or negative she said she would call a nurse to speak to me. Next thing I know a Doctor comes out Dr.Ciocca to berate me like I was a child and ask me why I've been calling and asking for her. I said what are you talking about and tell her I've only called twice and haven't asked for her and don't know who she is. And why I want my results. CONCLUSION GO ELSEWHERE THE OWNER OF THE BUSINESS HAS NO CLUE ON HOW TO TREAT A PATIENT AND DOES'NT KNOW HOW TO TALK TO PATIENTS..... read more

I feel very upset that this office practices biopsy to all what they remove without telling the patient. BECAREFUL or you'll receive a bill, and even if you say you don't want a biopsy because it's a simple mollusk they try to charge you with $50 dollars waiver. read more

Dr. Ciocca was recommended by my pediatrician to treat three small flat warts on my 8-year-old daughter's knee. Dr. Ciocca prescribed an unnecessarily large tube of ointment that cost an exorbitant amount, almost $900.00. She never warned me of the price so that I could make an informed decision. When I spoke with the office manager, she said Dr. Ciocca stated that this ointment was the needed treatment. Dr. Ciocca never bothered to speak to me. The office manager was only intent on blaming the pharmacy for not informing me of the cost of the prescription paid by my insurance plan. Dr. Ciocca does not care about how much insurance is paying for unnecessary treatment costs. I would not recommend her to anyone. read more
