Let's start off with the claw machines, we had a blast (for the most part). The large and medium claws we found we could win before it was time for payout. The mini claws, were just as expensive as the other claw machines, and way harder to win from. As for the arcade section, it was very lackluster. The games were pricey, some didn't work, while others were missing balls or beanbags. It was hard to accumulate enough tickets to get anything substantial from the prize area. The staff we encountered had mixed attitudes. Some were very nice and helpful with resetting the claw machines, while others seemed putout, that they hated working there, and were quite surly. Overall we enjoyed ourselves in the claw area, and would come back just to experience that.

while we were here, we did both the mini golf and the escape room. we stayed in portland for only 5…read moredays and ended up spending two of our evenings here. the mini golf was really well decorated and fun. the staff cleaned our golf clubs before giving them to us (we didnt ask) which made me feel a lot better about how many people have probably touched them. the staff was so friendly every time we talked to one of them and were generally just pleasant to talk to. i feel like i could have made friends with any of them. the escape room was a lot of fun with puzzles that were tricky but not too difficult. we didn't end up finishing it, but we got very close. i would recommend doing this with more than two people. i do have to mention that there are a lot of sudden noises and there are some parts of the room that were a bit scary- not scared for my life but definitely startled. they didn't warn about these but they were very cautious about making sure we were okay with flashing lights and small confined spaces. i wouldnt bring anyone younger than 13 to this room. overall a wonderful experience and a great place to spend an evening (or two)

So that we would just be around the corner and popping in here would be easy during our stay. Luckily I was able to come in on two different days, and at different times! We got both the night life experience and the day time experience. I think I preferred the day time because it wasn't as busy. Night means cover charge ($4) and bag check. And no kids. You might see some kids during the day. What a cool place, with yummy drinks (no food), and all my favorite arcade games, and then some! They operate on a card system, so no coins needed when you visit. My pinball wizard friend had been traveling arcade ready with coins in her bag, but it turns out they weren't needed. Ground Kontrol supplies free lockers to store your stuff; just follow the instructions and don't forget your code. I learned a lot about pinball during my visits here, and played more pinball than I usually do because of that. I mean, why not? I played one of the newest pinball games, released within weeks of my visit, which was Pokemon themed, and I played one of the more vintage pinball machines, Xenon. And everything in between! It was awesome. $20 loaded onto a card will get you 15ish games, but there is a different cost depending on which game you're playing. I was satisfied with the value and would, and did! come back again. Highly recommend stopping in if you're in the area! Make sure to check out the whole place, as it's bigger than you think and there are more games (mostly pinball) upstairs.

Reasonably priced and fresh ingredients. The establishment was clean and set up well. Happy we were able to eat while we bowled down by the scoring machine. We payed and waited 25 minutes before we finally asked someone. The person we asked said the food has been ready at the front counter for the past 20 plus minutes. When we asked about the app and delivery she smirked off with... "that isn't her job, that's on someone else." We went up to get our food to be extremely disappointed. Chips were stale, cheese was ice cold and they put a mount of sour cream. We asked for a new set of nachos and the guy just put a layer of new hot cheese on a few chips. Just short attitudes and a clear vibe that they don't want to be there or deal with people. On my most recent visit, I had an issue where my phone number was entered incorrectly. When I pointed it out, instead of simply fixing it, the response I got was irritation and attitude. Like I was the problem for asking them to correct their own mistake. That kind of interaction is unacceptable anywhere, especially in a place that markets itself as family-friendly. At this point, it's not a one-off, it's a pattern. When multiple visits consistently come with the same poor experience, it reflects a bigger issue with management and expectations. We enjoy bringing our kids here, but the ongoing lack of basic professionalism from the bar staff and the wait staff in the bowling alley, is seriously dragging down the experience.
