While visiting Oregon, decided to play an escape room there. Stumbled upon this one since the Tesla's Mystery seemed like a cool theme. We arrived at the mall and easily found the location. Bathrooms are accessible inside the mall but not inside their suite. Our game master was very easy to talk to and helped explain what we needed to know. As the company explains, rather than the intent to be 'escape' the room, the goal is the experience inside and the story that goes along with it. The puzzles in the Tesla room were very different from what I've seen before (played 15 rooms as of now). There were some puzzles that I thought were amazing while others made me go 'uhhh' that's no fun. The walls inside the rooms do not go up to the ceiling which broke the fourth wall and the immersive experience. The props and set design however does make up for that. Went in the room with two newcomers and we made it out barely with some hints to keep us going.

This was by far one of the cooler escape rooms I've been to. I've been to 4 total. We did the Tesla and with 4 people and just a couple of hints we were able to escape in less than an hour. The owner was pretty chill and an all around nice guy. I can't wait to book the second room. Such a fun night.

Definitely the best escape room I've gone to. There were lots of really neat electronic components that added to the experience.

None of the 5 of us had ever tried as escape room before, but after trying the Tesla I think we are all fans!

Absolute Five Stars for Escapology!…read more We tackled the Scooby-Doo escape room, and wow... it was one of the most challenging rooms I've ever done. I've never failed to escape before, but this one got us! We were literally one or two steps away when the clock ran out. It was frustrating, but at the same time, incredibly entertaining. I have to admit, I felt like I let my son down because he was really hoping we'd beat it. When you're paying for an escape room, it definitely stings a little when you don't make it out. But honestly, that's part of what makes it such a great experience it leaves you wanting another shot. Pro tip: Bring four or five people if you can. There are so many clues, puzzles, and different things happening at once that having extra sets of eyes makes a huge difference. It's easy to lose time chasing the wrong clue or overlooking something that's right in front of you. Escapology in Clackamas/Happy Valley is top-notch. The facility is clean, well-maintained, and full of creative, immersive rooms with different themes and adventures. The puzzles are clever, the atmosphere pulls you in, and the whole experience keeps you engaged from start to finish. Yes, it's a little on the pricey side, but you only live once. It's a fantastic activity for families, friends, date nights, birthdays, or team-building. Even if you don't escape, you'll leave talking about the experience and laughing over everything you missed. We'll definitely be back for a rematch. Highly recommended!

All 3 times the kids had a blast and had to work as a team to escape. We love that they have options for kids escape rooms there. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The decor is great and sets a fun vibe. The party room is good sized and has lots of decorations already there which is super helpful. We were able to watch the kids via a screen in the party room which was fun to see them problem-solve. Would recommend checking out the escape rooms at Escapology.

I did the Pdx Hunt this past weekend with the Scooby Doo team! yeah! I thought it was a lot of fun…read more We had tasks all around the metro area, from dancing Thriller to bouncing around on huge exercise balls through a dark field. There were cash prizes and a costume contest at the end (We definitely didn't get any cash prizes...). If I were to change anything about the hunt, I would shrink the boundaries down a bit to save on gas and possibly have fewer teams at a time doing the hunt. I know you can't stop people from cheating but we definitely saw some people with designated drivers dropping off their teams to complete a challenge and avoid parking issues. We also had two different teams lie to us in order to try and delay us on a task! It's a bummer when people play dirty, but that doesn't say anything negative about the organizers. I also think they could think through the final destination a little more. The bar they chose was a little small for the masses of people that showed up, and it was hard to get a drink. Maybe some food specials at the bar too? We were hungry after all that. I didn't see many kids on the hunt, and possibly have two different kinds: ones that are family friendly and others that cater more to the adult population. Just some suggestions, but all in all it was a great time!

I'm a native Portlander and I went to place that I have never been to. To places I've been to once. And it ended at the Clinton Street Theatre with a free movie. I recommend the PDX hunt to anyone. Can't wait for next year.
