I needed new rims and bought four used steelies from atlas junkyard (all 4 were bent, instead of telling me hey these rims are bent so i could take them back and get my money refunded they mounted four dry rotted tires on them anyways and slowed me to drive off. All was fine until i got on the beltway a few days later and the car was shaking so bad i had to exit and take the feeder home when i went back to the shop thinking they were unbalanced the guy said oh yea they are all four bent but i thought you'd be good and did nothing to solve the problem i ended up going to discount tire and getting four new rims and tires and after having the old bent ones off that they mounted tires on three tires had bubbles in them and all four tires were dry rotted to the point they shouldn't have been sold to me in the first place. I called Christian brothers Automotive and they told me to try Tires by Design. I stopped by and they inspected the tires, and told me I would need three tires as one of the rear tires was also worn enough to require changing. They did not have my Michelin tires in stock, but said they could get the tires in the morning, and call me when they received them. They told me it would take only thirty minutes to change out the tires. I checked back the next morning, and the tires were indeed delivered. I pulled in at 12:15 on a Saturday, and they immediately pulled my car into the shop. The tires were changed out and I was back on the road within twenty minutes. I went home and brought my 2005 Suburban back to have the tire sensors changed, and they did that in about twenty minutes as well. The manager and the staff were great to talk with, the service was so fast I barely had time to finish a coffee. It was the best experience I have ever had at a tire store. Braxton came back and told my fiance that the AC Compressor needed to be replaced and that it needed a evac & recharge of system. On top of that, he said the motor mounts needed to be done, the MX Sensor w/rubber valve needed replacing, removed & replaced oil pan and gasket, valve cover gasket set, removed & replaced valve cover oil filter, plus the use of shop supplies! Total: $5,825.67 9/6/25: Returned because AC stopped blowing cold again! Tested TPMS system & Battery. Low & high side valve kit, evacuate & recharge AC plus shop supplies. Total: $38.27 9/7/25: 4 new tires, shocks, tie rods, alignment, warranty by Tread Depth, shop supplies, Mavis tire recycling charge. The service was relatively quick and painless, and they had me on my way in no time. The only odd thing about the inspection was that I noticed that there was still a low tire pressure alert for one of the tires. I was under the impression that they checked this during inspections. And as a tire place, I figured they would top off the air like other spots do.
