I haven't been to one Buc-ee's that wasn't clean. If you like soda pop, it's cheap at the soda fountain. From tshirts, hats, aprons, keychains, toys, brownies, fudge, candy, burritos, cupcakes, muffins, lemon pepper turkey jerky, chips, sandwiches, brisket, turkey and a plethora of other things.... It will get pricey if you don't stop yourself.

However, the prices at the convenience store were ridiculous, and the bathroom in the place was filthy. I mean absolutely filthy from top to bottom. It looked like it hadn't been cleaned in quite a long time. I might try a different location if you need more than cheap gas.

There is a subway connected to the gas station. It can get busy here so be cautious. I didn't have any issues getting in and out. There are other options in the area for gas but I prefer Shell. A really good friend of mine just posted this, and honestly, I've heard complaints about this guy…read morebefore. I get it. You need to make money. But no need in treating customers this way. Especially people that I know are good, honest people. I never post things on here unless it's pics of my kids or grandson but I'm sharing this! I'm riding with my mom in her car and it overheats. So we pull into Chevron in front of Walmart in Leeds. I pop the hood and it's smoking. I take a jug inside and ask the man behind the counter if I can get water. He takes the jug and turns to the sink behind him and says the jug is too big to fit. So I say "I didn't know if maybe you had a big sink in here that it would fit in". Because going into the store I'm thinking this isn't going to fit in the bathroom sink. He walks out from behind the counter with my jug and heads toward the back so I follow him. He fills the jug with water in one of those big sinks in the back room. I say thank you and he starts talking about how expensive the water that he filled my jug with is. He tells me that if his boss sees him giving me free water on camera that he could get fired. He says they use Leeds water and Birmingham sewage. He says that Birmingham sewage charges by how much water he uses. He says for example my water bill is $300 so that makes my sewage bill $900. He says that's why nobody around there has water available outside. I tell him that sounds crazy and thank him again for the water. I take the water outside to my mom's car and tell her that I got a lecture on how expensive water is. She gets money from her purse and heads inside. The next thing I know my mom is coming out the door yelling and the man is right behind her yelling too. He is yelling at my mom that he doesn't want her money. She is yelling back that she doesn't want his precious water without paying for it and that he better not ever talk to her daughter like that again. She tells him that it's pretty bad that he won't help a woman with a overheating car. Actually she yells it. Then he yells "you don't deserve any help you stupid dumbass, don't ever come to my store again ". That won't be a problem because we will never shop there again. I've always thought the was a likeable guy until today. So everyone that reads this, before you shop there again, ask yourselves, 'what if that was my mother or grandmother that broke down at that Chevron?'

The owner was really helpful at suggesting different craft beers and appears to have a great knowledge in the area! I am so glad I don't have to go all the way downtown to buy craft beer anymore! It turns out this is the only store in Leeds and Moody with an amazing collection of craft beer! They also have a great variety of wines! I was able to find some Snakehandler IPA beer from Good People brewery, which is very difficult to find around this time of year (considering the beer is seasonal)! Overall, I am just glad to have found this store, where I can count on finding something exotic like "Founders KBS" or "Hopslam" or something like "Bud Light!"

They greeted me when I arrived at the register and provided me eye contact. I wanted to use my card for gas so I pulled on the reader to verify and it wasn't a fake or fraud. It wasn't so I went ahead and used my card for my gas purchase. I choose to get a receipt and guess what?? I got it. It was 5 PM and though I did not want to be driving at night, I was wide awake and decided to push on through. The night driving was not bad at all. When I felt drowsy, I put on some early Prince and started jamming. The traffic flow was cool, the truckers all along the way had shared the road quite nicely. Alabama was the shortest state I went through and when I saw the sign that read 'Atlanta, ' I woo hooed! Though I had some miles to go, I was almost there. I stopped into this Chevron station for my last fill-up before I hit my destination. It was about 11:30 PM and the clerks were cordial but not too friendly. At that point, I didn't care much. I was almost in the ATL!! I asked the clerk how long to Atlanta and he said about 2 hours. Cool. I thought to myself, "I got this." Despite the unfriendly atmosphere, I happily pumped my gas for this would my last fill-up of the trip. Hey it's gas and I'm an innocent traveler, so lose the 'tude. One star for that. My first time going to Whataburger, the food and service were amazing.   Upon entering, the place…read morewas clean and super busy.   The gentleman that took my order greeted me as I entered and told me he'd be right with me.  I glanced at the menu, and it looked pretty basic for a hamburger place, but after trying the food... it was amazing.  This isn't the basic fast food chain I grew up going to like McD, Burger King,  or Jack in the Box.     We ordered: 1. Patty melt meal with large onion rings and large chocolate milk shake-  Words can't describe how good this was.  It was meaty and cheesy.  The double patty matched the amount of bread.  It was a perfect ratio, and the Texas toast just tied everything together.  The chocolate milkshake was easily one of the best I've ever had. It was thick, almost like a frosty, but tasted was better.  I was surprised at how big a large milkshake was compared to anywhere else.  The onion rings tasted like the kind you'd get at a diner. 2.  Bacon and cheese whataburger with a double patty large french fries and large sweet tea and lemonade - This was amazing. The veggies were fresh and crisp.   It was almost like the perfect salad.  This was equally cheesy and meaty in each bite.  French fries were addictive and went well with the spicy ketchup.  The sweet lemonade was super sweet but balanced perfectly with the lemonade. 3. Small strawberry shake -  for a small, this was comparable to a large shake you'd get anywhere else.  This tasted like fresh strawberry shake,  not the generic nestle quik or canned strawberries you'd have somewhere else.      Honestly, the whole experience start to finish was amazing.  The gentleman who helped me was super nice and helpful in figuring out what to order.  My drinks came out fast before my food.  I went to my truck to bring the drinks to my husband.   This way, it would be easier when the food comes out.   Right when I was about to walk back in,  someone came out with my order.  He told me no point of you going back in just to get your food.  He told me there were napkins, 2 ketchup, and 2 spicy ketchup.  I was like, "Thank you so much. You didn't have to."   Then he asked me if I wanted anything else or any other sauces.  I told him, "No, thank you and went back to the truck.  Never has anyone done that before with any fast food order I've ever made.  I'm not sure if that's how they normally do thinks but I truly appreciate how they went above and beyond.     On a side note,  I thought that it is really smart how they place the french fries and onion rings in a square container.  I've always hated how the container just spills or fries and stuff always falls in the bag.      I don't know why this place has so many bad reviews.   I highly recommend this place and can only hope that the quality of food and service is the same at any of their other locations.
