Definitely perfect for him waiting for me to pick him up when I finished work. He remarked about the records on the wall, and lots of the decor as it was a cutesy coffee shop. For my coffee beverage, I ordered a flat white as it's a good indicator of a decent coffee shop. Happy to report they passed the raw sugar test (put raw sugar on top and quality foam should hold up the sugar). They have great espresso and use one of the best espresso machines I've seen at coffee shops (La Marzocco). Loved the flavor and the foam was divine! Definitely return here for the coffee alone as it's worth braving the parking lot.

They had a few sweet and savory pastries, but I didn't try any. We sat on the comfy, cushioned chairs and chatted for nearly two hours! The owner was super nice to explain what differentiates Ethiopian coffee than others... even gave me a hot shot of espresso to take to go with my iced coffee! As someone who basically drinks one cup a day, I definitely felt the caffeine in my blood the rest of my afternoon ::insert twitchy eye::. Definitely way less bitter than my usual iced coffee... and more potent. Hadas is in a former day spa in the northwest corner shopping plaza of Elliot and 48th much closer to Cactus Jack's than 48th St. They offer wifi and chill vibes for those who want to study/work.
