We've been living in Arizona for 7 years now, and after visiting The Coffee Builders in Phoenix this week, my only question is: Where has this place been all our lives?! This incredible hidden gem is tucked away in the Warehouse District and is a bit out of sight--you'd likely never just stumble across it unless you were explicitly looking for it. But the moment you walk through the doors, you are transported. The architectural design is completely unexpected, modern, and striking--especially the gorgeous, geometric upside-down wooden pyramids stretching across the ceiling. It creates an upscale, unique atmosphere unlike anywhere else. Now for the main event: the drinks and food. I ordered the Orange Blossom Latte and my husband ordered The Slopes. Both drinks were absolutely outstanding. They were rich, velvety, thick, and incredibly creamy with deep, distinct flavor profiles. Best of all, they weren't overly sugary--which is huge for us since we typically prefer our coffee at half-sweetness. To pair with our drinks, we tried the Blueberry Bourbon Maple Pastry. It was phenomenal: flaky on the outside, light and pillowy-creamy on the inside, beautifully balanced, and generously loaded with fresh blueberries. The staff was highly professional, exceptionally welcoming, and deeply knowledgeable about their shop and everything on the menu. From this day forward, The Coffee Builders is officially our #1 favorite coffee shop in AZ.
