I asked the first cashier how to use the ice machine and that's when I learned that it was broken. The tax when another cashier heard me and offered to make me a few bags of ice. He really made my day. Normally I support local business only but I was really appreciative of the customer service I was given at QT.

Having very few gas stations in the area meant that Wal-Mart and HEB set the pricing for gas. They were OK, but our prices remained more than 10 cents a gallon more expensive than San Antonio or New Braunfels. As QT has a goal of being the cheapest gas around, they have driven the prices down for all of us. Win for the consumer:-) QT also brags about their food that they cook in-house. I was skeptical of this because they are a convenience store. I was very pleasantly surprised when I purchased a pizza for the kids, and in having a small piece, found their pizza to be better than most of the home delivery pizza folks that you see advertised on TV. Also, living in the covid times, I was happy to see that they limit capacity, require masks on employees and customers, and have hand sanitizer all over the store. On top of that, they seem to have hired the most friendly help in the area. Will I return? Most definitely!

So, I was very skeptical of taking my car to Walmart to get serviced but I am fairly new to town…read moreand do not trust easily when if comes to anything automotive, not to mention, I needed it done quickly, as I was way overdue and headed out of town that day. My requests were: Oil change using Penzoil, Tires Rotated, Air Filter Changed, Do Not top off my wiper fluid as I use Rain-X and do it myself, and to call when they are done as I will not be waiting in the store. As far as I can tell, they rotated my tires, checked the tire pressure, checked the tread on my tires (I'll get back to this), did the oil change, changed the air filter. Things that did not happen correctly: Wiper fluid had been topped off, and I got no call when the car was done! Also, back to the tread on my tires, the cashier told me that the tread on my tire was given a certain score and was not sure what it meant though, except that the tires would likely need to be replaced soon but no esitmate on how many more miles they had on them (which is frustrating). All of this cost me only $56.31. So, I am giving them 4 stars because I usually have awful experiences with car places and overall they did pretty well, but took off because the cashier did not know what the tread score was, no call, and the wiper fluid.

I came in here to get stocked up for a camping trip, and found all the goods I needed! I was surprised to see the size of their beer selection here. There wasn't much to it. They had the national brands and a very small selection of local beers. Shiner is a local beer here! The clerk seemed befuddled by the bar codes and it took an incredibly long time to get checked out. A manager was called over to help press the buttons repeatedly to get an item to ring up. It made me regret getting the meat from the butcher if it was going to take so long to get properly rang up. I did manage to get everything that I needed. They even have a small clearance section in the rear corner of the store. I found some pretty great stuff in there. Parking was easy.

I am disappointed to say H-E-B has almost become a Walmart, there are plenty of people wandering around the store doing shopping orders for online and pick up plenty of people stocking the shelves but nobody looking you in the eye no one taking the time to ask if you need help.. I come all the way to Gonzales to shop because Lockhart H-E-B is way too crowded, And I have to say that the only person who was friendly today was the lady in the floral department who always , always offers to say hi even if I'm not buying flowers!! What happens to customer service if I want to shop for myself by myself and find things for myself I can go to Walmart and even check myself out!!! Disappointed texas shopper!!!
