The woman helping us was super friendly and had extensive knowledge of the store. I guess I only complaint is that it was kind of hot in there. Crank that AC up! Every time I come in here with my toddler, the sales associate is so friendly, attentive, and accommodating. I really appreciate the quality and variety of their toys, and the fact that no one made me feel bad when my toddler was tearing things off shelves. So grateful this place exists!!! The wonderful associate (whose name I will catch you next time) recommended the Inny Bin and the Whirley Squigz spinners for traveling with my toddler (along with a bunch of other things, but unfortunately can't get it all!). read more

This is the best store for children's learning toys in St Louis. Over the years I have bought many things here for my granddaughters. The people who work here are always helpful and friendly. The store has more merchandise than you would expect from the size of the storefront. They have many option too. I had a choice of 3 different easels when I bought one for Christmas a couple years ago. I was able to buy 3 "Lama Lama" titles yesterday. Sally found the books using her inventory tracking system. I also bought a great birthday card while Sally gift wrapped the books. There was no charge for the wrapping. If you want to find great gifts for the children in your life try this store. read more

What an adorable little toy store! I had "educational gifts" on a Christmas wishlist, and Circle of Knowledge was perfect. There are toys of all types and for all ages. The employees were welcoming and sweet-- all seemed genuinely happy to be there. I brought my puppy in my purse, and the workers were smitten with her. Not sure if pets are allowed on leashes, but they had no problem with her in my purse! Circle of Knowledge is not the place if you have specific branded toys on your list-- such as Paw Patrol, LOL Dolls, Littlest Pet Shop, etc. (AKA the "trendy" toys, I'll call them). But if you want something you can't find at a bigger box toy store + maybe something a little more unique-- Circle of Knowledge is great. Will definitely be back for toys in the future. Circle of Knowledge is a great little toy store in South County. I went there to exchange a duplicate gift I got at my daughter's birthday party. The staff was extremely helpful and knowledgeable from the moment I walked in. They showed me how the store was set up by age group to make it easy to find appropriate toys and they also spent time showing me how the most popular toys worked. I got some great recommendations that I took home with me and my 13 month old loves them! Will definitely come back for their great customer service and selection. read more

Just the best little toy store down in sunset hills. Nestled neatly of in a strip mall besides an Old Navy is a not to be missed gem. They carry toys for children of all ages 0-100 etc. As you enter you may notice the left side for young children and the center and right side for kids and up. They have a great selection of board games, legos, physical yard and outdoor play it goes on and on. Great place to browse, get ideas or pick up gifts for others, or yourself on a whim! Came in to purchase a toy for my son and scope the place out. Very clean store with several helpful sales assistants. I came in looking for a toy that would engross my Houdini child that loves unlocking and breaking into things and she helped me find a board with a bunch of different latches and locks for him to play with. Have you ever been afraid to walk into a store? I stood outside looking up at the sign" Circle of Knowledge". For me the name is scary enough! I hymed and hawed peering into the window. That voice in my head kept saying" I need a baby gift, today Margo, today!" Hmm, I am looking for a baby gift and the name of the store has my palms sweating, but somewhere, somehow my hands pulled the door open. I stood in a sea of baby knowledge and was dizzy with dumbfoundness( is that even a word?) . Then- from the corner of my eye what should appear? Why, a friendly sales lady with a voice so sincere. I am out of my element, I sighed in disbelief. She offered THAT knowledge and brought me total relief. She then gave me space to make up my mind. I chose an award winning toy called Sunshine Symphony that plays classical tunes... what a find! She nodded with approval and offered to wrap. Even though there is a Toys R' Us pretty much across the street, we opted to check out Circle of Knowledge in search for a three year old birthday gift. I am so glad we did! I love to support local businesses and this place is FILLED with toys for all ages. We were immediately greeted by a staff member asking if she could help and she gave us a great overview of where age appropriate toys were kept. Knowing that the birthday girl is a fan of dinosaurs, we were pointed to all the toys that fit the bill. We ended up getting a book and a game but they also had lots of cool puzzles that we almost purchased as well. It truly is the little details with places like this and the best detail was the fact that they gift wrap for FREE!!! We got to pick the color of the paper and they put a crafty little bow on top. The birthday girl absolutely loved the gifts too!! When she opened up the game, she forgot that she had other presents still to open because she wanted to play it so bad:) Moral of the story, if you are in Sunset Hills skip the Toys R' Us and check out Circle of Knowledge. Went in to search for a gift for my little nephew. The store itself was cute, and has charm, however the atmosphere seemed eerily hostile. I saw what appeared to be the manager being really disrespectful to one of the younger women working there. This upset me because this young woman had approached me and I thought she was really nice and a good worker. I really believe there is a difference between people who pretend to be nice and genuinely nice people. I try to support small business owners as much as possible and have shopped at Circle of Knowledge for almost every birthday party my kids are invited to. I was certainly a loyal customer despite the over-priced toys. I liked their variety and the fact that they always offered gift wrapping for free. However, the other day as I stood in line with presents picked out for two different birthdays plus items for my own children, my 3 yo son announced he had to go potty. Anyone who is a parent knows children don't usually give a lot of warning. When I asked the saleswoman (Janet) for their restroom, she pointed next door and without even looking up at me told me "the bathrooms are at Steinmart". I asked again if they didn't have a restroom and she just did the same thing. Well, suffice it to say that by the time we weaved our way through Steinmart to find their restrooms, the poor kid had wet his pants. I went back to the store to inform the saleswoman that her customer service was some of the worst I've ever experienced and they'd lost a customer because of it. The only response I got was a blank stare and a "Well..." As a children's toy store, they really need to review their policy about allowing customers use of the rest room because chances are, my son won't be the last child to to wet his pants b/c he was denied access to the nearest restroom and guess what? I don't know about other parents, but a child having a potty accident in a store really puts a halt to my shopping b/c it's then time to go home and get washed up & put on clean clothes.
