They whole back of the store was various rugs, and pretty great condition. They had a lot of name brand goods and when we went, a lot of holiday left overs that didn't sell. Lots of beverage type, cleaning materials, hair and body care, kitchen appliances, clothing, electronics - honestly, so much! There was also a book section, which we picked up a lot of options for our little one to enjoy for less than $3. We will have to come back again to look at rugs for our bedroom.

The store is large and spacious with a lot of merchandise that is very well organized. There is a Starbucks in the front of the establishment and you can get your favorite beverage and relax. They also have a great selection of magazines, special gifts for the book lovers in your life, and I always seem to find something good in the clearance area. I could tell she was judging me but at the time I didn't care. She stated it wasn't out but I could preorder it, I said yes please gave my name, phone number and email and asked if I could pay for it now. she said no I had to wait till it was in, I said ok thanks and thought I was good! today I went in to get my copy and what I was excited for became aggravation quickly! I was told I was not on the list for the book and that my information wasn't even in their system. I told them no I was in here months ago and talked to someone who was rude but that I gave her all my information. they apologized and said they didn't have a copy for me and that they are sold out, they also couldn't say if and when more would come out. The two ladies today were nice and took my information again but I'm so aggravated that my personal views were not just judged by an employee but that she pretended to help and then no one could rectify it! I will be ordering my copy somewhere else and telling anyone who will listen this store is not to be trusted and to shop elsewhere!

I found a baby shower gift, an incredible nature book as a gift for my mother in law, and a beautiful hardcover book for my toddler! The children's section has a lot to offer as does the entire shop. It was beautifully organized and there were plenty of newly released books. The worker (owner?) who was in there at the time was very friendly and helped me find a few things! The space inside feels older, it has characters & that bookstore feel you can't explain. I was pleasantly surprised by how big the store was! They did a really good job of organizing books so it wasn't hard to find what I was looking for and in addition to it was easy to browse I ended up spending over an hour just looking around. The downstairs area also has a used book area which I love because it makes them more affordable which helping someone explore an older book for the first time. Anytime I'm in the area I'll be popping in to see what's new (or used) and grab a few books. I highly recommend for anyone wanting to surf through hard copies of books to pick what's right for them. I told her I'd like to read about it before I sign and she kind of looked at me like I'm crazy and said "I like to be more informed before I make a decision." She told me no one else had to think about it and I told her I did. That was weird and uncomfortable, especially when she turned from me and asked my wife. She gave the same answer. Selection is pretty broad but the store is very political and it's obvious. They have a sign that said "everyone is welcome, except ICE.", Black Lives Matter, gay pride, and anything that is demeaning to republicans. It's honestly distracting and disappointing. Someone who may not have the same beliefs may not feel comfortable walking around with fascist stickers, and everything that is demeaning towards "the right". Value is good and as I said before the selection is quite broad. There were a lot of pro-gay books which you never really see anywhere else. There are also all kinds of self help books and everything else you might expect. Overall I do recommend this place, but I can see how a large majority of people would feel really out of place here. That aside, it's a really nice establishment with very friendly staff. Not so crazy about the woman in the front pressuring me to sign her petition. I'm sure she meant well though.

I was in the children's section looking for a book for a five-year-old and there was a family with their kids' reading books while they shopped, it was so sweet. I didn't stop after I found a book, I had to look around at all the cute other stuff they carry beyond books. A St. Louis section, candles, puzzles, games. Because it was the Holiday season they had check-out downstairs. I pulled a sucker and got to choose a book wrapped in brown paper, so it was a surprise. Also got a wooden key ornament to hang on the tree, so fun. Don't forget to browse the Romance side of the store, lots of goodies there as well.
