What a gun find in downtown Missoula! This secondhand shop has all sorts of oddities, collectibles, and much more. As you walk into the store, you are reminded just how old the building is. It still has the original plank wood floors and ceiling tiles. Inside, you will find old plates, silverware, appliances, tools, books, magazines, and everything in between. The aisles are pretty tight and there isn't a lot of room to walk, but that doesn't seem to matter. You will find customers of all ages here on any given day. An interesting second-hand shop that doesn't look anything like a modern thrift store. Collectibles, antiques, weird stuff, even an adults-only section with magazines and DVDs of an...ahem, adults-only nature. That was a surprise to see. No, I didn't buy any of them. It gets business from the locals and the college students who are looking for interesting gems. John is a cool guy with a lot of knowledge. After stopping at so many thrift stores in Montana with the same ole' same ole' (clothes, books, old housewares, more clothes, more housewares), this was a unique place that I should take a look at again whenever I'm in Missoula. read more

Well the woman working the front desk was a complete loser. She eyeballed us the whole time and when we went to check out with over $60 worth of garbage, I mentioned to my husband that the toy my son picked out was a broken and not worth $10. A conversation between my husband and I not her, The woman goes "well don't buy it" in a hasty tone and then we exchanged words because she was being a monster, and she started filing ya like we were doing something wrong. She was eyeballing is the whole time, while she sat there with her dirty ass feet on the counter. read more

Very eclectic collection of some things old/vintage, some re-pop, lots of smalls. They had a nice selection of vintage audio/Hi-Fi when I stopped in. Interesting stuff I hadn't seen other places, like used tools and camping gear. Kinda cluttered and a bit tricky to pick through some things, but unique and not gentrified. read more

My kind of thrift shop. Could have spent the day looking through every little corner. Its the type of place you really should spent at least a hour or two in and come out with very unusual treasures. Some things seem overpriced but thats the only reason i took off a star. Im sure if i had the money to spend i would go nuts buying everything in there. I will totally be back. Got me a very nice vintage lamp for a perfect price. Really fun place to shop in. read more

This is a place to spend some time exploring and picking through the assortment of oddities. During my visit this week I was assisted by a very nice woman who helped direct me to various items in the store and thoughtfully reminded me of the 20 percent discount when paying in cash. I went in today to check out some fishing equipment. I have never been treated with so much disrespect in my life. The girl who was running the counter at around 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 15th, 2017 has to be the rudest person I've ever dealt with in a customer service environment. I will never darken the doors of this place again and will make sure to tell everyone I know how rude the staff was. read more

Yes, there's cool stuff in there. However, the only time I've been in, a heavy nightstand/desk fell off of a stack of furniture (a stack that was about nine or ten feet high) and struck me on the head and arm. I had a painful bruise on my right temple and a huge black and purple one on my shoulder for over a week. The owner/proprietor didn't show much concern over it, nor offer me any sort of reassurance, nor did he make it right. I left feeling like that place is a death trap and the owner (or manager?) is an uncaring jerk. Imagine if a small child walked through there, momentarily unaccompanied by an adult, and a heavy piece of furniture were to fall. Yikes. This place is truly dangerous and not well thought-out. That's what happens when the only goal is to make money rather than present the wares to prospective customers in a thoughtful and safe manner. Shameful. This business is lucky I'm not into America's lawsuit culture. read more

Circle Square 2nd Hand Store - A second hand store you don't want to go into without a hardhat and insurance. - Antiques Near Me - Missoula, Montana

Sweet man named John helped us with an amazing find and deal. He even felt called after we left to come outside and take a picture of us with our fur coat and send us with well wishes back on the road. He even offered free cassette tapes haha! This place feels so fun, quirky, and literally like a treasure hunt through time. I imagine with the first review about something falling on someone that John was probably just unsure what to do, as he seemed very sensitive and quiet, and at least he didn't get upset with the person or assume they may have made something fall. I love antique stores that have lots and lots of stuff. And I would rate this higher but I tend to believe the first reviewer who said something fell on him. I had not read the review before entering and this DID dawn on me....like glad there is no likelihood of an earthquake in here. Enjoy at your own risk, I guess. read more

Circle Square has been my favorite store for over a decade. This quirky little shop is housed in the old Atlantic Hotel, a Missoula landmark cherished by locals and newcomers alike. The store is indeed jam-packed full of stuff, but that's what makes it so fabulous. Painted above the storefront are the words 'We Buy Anything', and it shows. One could be searching for literally anything, from a mini-circular sander, to the perfect vintage roasting pan, to a unique hanging lamp, to a warm and stylish winter coat, and you'll find it in Circle Square. The proprietor, John, is friendly, helpful, and often willing to haggle a bit. He has a great eye for collecting, and keeps a wide variety of inventory. The people he hires in his stead are always sincere and kind. I seriously love Circle Square, and if you're an avid thrifter who lives for unique pieces and great deals, I'm sure you'll love it too. read more
