It's been a few years since I've been to my favorite restaurant since moving to eastern Long Island. Tonight I was in the area and since I was close, I was not going to pass up this opportunity to get back to Ciros. I just love the ambience here, it is such a beautiful restaurant tonight as we're walking in the front door. Benny saw us and gave us a huge smile, and I was excited to be back. Starting with espresso, more tea and wine to split a beautiful Caesar salad for dinner, I ordered my favorite Parmesan, which was totally amazing! Food was phenomenal and service was awesome!.. I had the veal parmigiana it was perfectly cooked tender etc.. the dressing for the Caesar salad was definitely homemade. The penne Ala vodka was creamy with nice notes of tomato and cream with procuitto ! The servers were polite and eager to please. We went to Sarah's for dinner. My husband had the veal chop and I had one of the chicken dishes. The food was absolutely amazing. The service was excellent. First people in the restaurant. 5:00 reservation. No one else in the restaurant. The waiter forget to order our soup. It took 80 minutes to get pasta. We had to ask 4 times to get bread. I prefer cutlet and got grilled chicken. Matt should look into new help. Food is okay. Service is lousy. Older gentleman with a heavy accent was our waiter. Good luck. All other tables around us were served before us. I will be leaving reviews on all social media platforms. This is unacceptable. I literally just brought clients here last week. No more clients to Ciros. No family, no more christenings , birthdays etc. unbelievable. The waiter said Matt was in haulage at the other restaurant. Maybe he should pay attention to kings park. Victor is a gem. He was always my mom's favorite waiter. Sadly mom passed away recently and the immediate family recently had an intimate dinner as a memorial for her. The food is always fantastic and the atmosphere is lovely. We shared several appetizers and three of our party had the grilled veal chops that were cooked to perfection. A seafood pasta and a chicken Sorrentino round it out the orders. I know everyone enjoyed the food. Thank you Victor and thank you Ciro's. read more

Next time you want to have a ciro family dinner make sure you eat there when they first open and you don't ever get take out. Went to Ciros last night with great friends and they young sons. We arrived early and sat at the bar. They have a very good bourbon at reasonable prices. Our friends arrived and we were seated more or less on the middle of the dining room. Even though the place was basically full, we had no issue talking nor hearing other conversations. Benny, our waiter was excellent. We never felt rushed but the food appeared spot on time. Although the menu offered numerous choices, the the first thing I eat a new Italian restaurant is veal parmigiana. That tells me all I need to know. In this case it was a home run. The veal was sliced thinly and stacked then covered with sauce and fresh mozzarella, cooked to perfection and served with perfectly done al dente pasta. A home run. Possibly the best veal parmigiana I have ever had. The artisanal bread was roasted perfectly and in addition to butter there was EVOO with spices for dipping, From the appetizers to the dessert, everything was flawless and nice size portions. My only complaint is that it is on the North Shore and we are a half block away from the Great South Bay. I usually do not travel far for dinner but I think we may make an exception for Ciros. Went to Ciros for dinner on a Tuesday night because they advertised a $25 pasta night special that came with a salad and dessert. Seemed like a good deal but what they dont tell you is that the portion size of the special is basically like a children's meal. The salad was an OK portion, not normal size but adequate. An entree of penne ala vodka was what you would see for a kids meal which is ridiculous because for another 20 cents worth of penne it would have been a good amount. Dessert was like a tasting size. Maybe a 1/4 of what a normal slice of cheesecake would be. They are deceptive in that they make you think you are getting a deal for the $25 when in reality you are getting a portion so small that you feel like you need to stop for something to eat on the way home from dinner. I've been a fan of Ciro's in the past but sorry, this time you lost customers. read more

As a Kings Park local, I am happy to have this place nearby. The staff is always very friendly. It is not the best Italian food I have ever but it is definitely delicious! I get something new every time we visit and I haven't been disappointed by anything I've tried. We love the hot antipasto for two. My husband gets chicken parm everywhere he goes; he rates it a 7/10. My chicken marsala was not. Did not taste like any marsala was in it. Tastes like watery tomato sauce. Chicken was rubbery. My wife had manicotti and she said it tasted odd. Service was awful. For desert we had the driest cheescake ever. Crumbles. The place was loud. read more

The recommended appetizer was disappointing. Stuffed meatball seemed to be stuffed with a piece of string cheese. I choice the special chicken dish instead of the Chicken Bellisimo that was on the menu. I am sure the regular menu item would have been much better. I went with the waiters recommendation. Went here on a Wednesday night. Parking is very tight in the back of the establishment. Food was really good. We had the 3 course fixed price special which came with a salad or soup (had Caesar salad - nice and fresh and the dressing was light); a pasta - had penne, and a choice of chicken/veal/shrimp parmigiana. We had the chicken and the veal and it was done really well. Dessert was coffee and a choice of cannoli, tiramisu or napoleon. Had the tiramisu and cannoli. Service was good and friendly, nice and clean inside. We weren't rushed at all. Definitely going back. read more

Very nice dinner last night we were a party of 15 our waiter Victor was very attentive and accommodating. The Caesar salad was yummy and everyone was very happy with their meals. First time at Ciro's, thanks to suggestions from the Dine-LI Facebook Group page. :) Hubby and I went for pre-Christmas dinner; our libations were a Negroni for him, a glass of White Zinfandel for me. Have you ever looked and 'reviewed' a restaurant after you've just eaten there and are already reading Yelp, and re-revising the Menu, whole thinking, hmm, that was a really good, normal, non hyperbole meal. Me - I'm a lucky bastard! Such a cozy, friendly, down to earth place that understands Hospitality, and family. Although we are not Italians, I felt like they treated us like we are families too! Large portions, casual or dressed up - unpretentious Italian food at an insanely reasonable price. The diners are awesome too, some dressed up, everyone talking loudly, just enjoying themselves. Ciao, Ciro's - until tomorrow, that is, because, eh, we'll be back again later this week. We are like the family who will never leave! It's like we cannot get on the plane without eating the 3-4 other dishes we would like to try. I just don't know of a single restaurant like this in San Francisco - Ciao!!!!! What a Gem! Freshest Italian cuisine , made to order, like eating at Grandmas house on a Sunday afternoon. This is a staple classic Italian and the food is superb. I love the old world , attentive service,white table cloths,greatest food. In tune to food allergy sufferers. No wonder it is a local go to for all ages. I really couldn't give this restaurant anything but super high marks for its excellent food and outstanding service. Our whole experience was awesome! The entire staff is just so friendly and helpful. They were just the right amount of attentive, there when you needed them but not down your throat at every turn. The waiter was so pleasant and informative, and when I spilled my water, he was there in a second clearing the table, drying it and giving us a new table cloth. The bus boys all had smiles and every server was pleasant. The manager was sure to be available and making everyone feel welcomed. We had so much food and everything was terrific. The baked clams had a rich decadent flavor that was different than anything I've had before. The mussels were on special with a red onion type sauce, and it was splendid. It went so well with the Pinot Noir house wine the waiter had suggested. Jeez, even the bread they brought to the table was good. My least favorite was my main entree but that was my own fault. The Rigatoni Calebrese has beans in it and though I'm not a fan of beans in my pasta, I wanted to try something different. It was still very good, but I really didn't enjoy the beans. Stupid me! Next time - and there will be a next time - I'll try the lobster ravioli. My husband had some kind of shrimp and it was fantastic. And when we were all done we were too full for desert, but they brought us in-house homemade biscotti, and it was the perfect little sweet to end our dinner. FYI: Parking is a little tight - they have a strange lot with confusing signs but the restaurant manager and staff said we were fine. Just be aware. My son took my mother-in-law and I to Ciro's and wow! We arrived at 4:00 (opening) and enjoyed the crab cakes and eggplant rollatine as appetizers. Chicken siciliano, shrimp marinara, and Chicken Mona as main dishes. We each totally enjoyed every bit. The napoleon reviews were not positive on Yelp, but it looked delicious so i still wanted to try it. We LOVED it! Fresh and delicious without being heavy. Would absolutely get it again! We look forward to returning to Ciro's. It wasn't our first time, but it's been way too long. Love this place for its ambiance, delicious comfort food and wonderful service. read more

I have been to this restaurant many times, and each time we go Im never disappointed. Along with two other couples, I started the night out with the standard Belvedere Vodka on the rocks with blu cheese stuffed olives, Terrific! Next the appetizers, stuffed mushrooms, fresh mozzarella with tomato and fried calamari, perfect! The waiter, Victor, presented the specials, and I selected the talked about and famous "VanMullen". Spicy arrabbiata sauce over burnt broccoli topped with muscles and clams. Unreal! Staying away from the pasta and adding the burnt broccoli as a substitute is brilliant, delicious and healthy! Once the girl saw I had oxygen she said there was nothing available but she could serve us outside on an outside table might I say it was 91 degress. This is the second occasion that I've called the restaurant and spoke to someone that works there and they have either been rude, clueless or a little bit of both. I understand they are busy but that's no excuse to be rude. I'm done, the way that the host spoke to my wife and I when we went there to try to be seated was unacceptable. I called and spoke with a woman on the phone to see if there was space at the bar to be seated for dinner and she said yes. Then when we arrived the host said there is no space at the bar and I don't know who would say that to you ( with a smirk on his face ) Sorry to tell you the food really isn't that great for them to be treating customers like this! Run of The Mill Italian Food, Friendly Service, Slooooow Ticket Times, Pricey. I was a bit disappointed in my Ciro's KP experience. With all of the positive reviews I was expecting to be blown away but sadly that wasn't the case. Located on busy BUSY Main Street...it might be hard to find the parking lot because it's constantly being blocked by traffic. The lot is small- I came on a weekday and the spots were scarce so I can only imagine what it's like on weekends. My suggestion is to get here early. They have deals on certain nights of the week. The deals seem worth while if you don't want to spend an arm & a leg on regular menu items like I did. I wasn't a fan of the prices here, I thought they were high for the quality of food & amount I received. The service was great on the floor! My Waitress was on point. Refills came around often which I liked. It's just that the food took sooooo long to come out, Painfully Long! The restaurant was no where near crowded so how could it take that long?!? Also the kitchen did mess up one of my orders...bummer. The food was underwhelming. I was so disappointed with the bland, under seasoned dishes I received. The food was definitely not worth the price tag. I will be reviewing everything I tried: Complimentary Bread was good!! Was able to get seconds which was wonderful. I enjoyed the dipping oil the warm bread came with. -Hot Antipasto for 2: Portion of 2 tiny baked little neck clams, 2 small shrimp oreganata, 2 tiny stuffed mushrooms & underwhelming eggplant rollatini. The shrimp were extremely under seasoned and missed the mark significantly. The mushrooms were also underwhelming, the stuffed mushrooms I get at diners taste better than these did. The eggplant was the most disappointing out of the appetizer plate. The eggplant was hard, there was barely any riccota cheese inside and the sauce wasn't great. Overall I wasn't impressed in the slightest. 2 out of 5 stars -Baby Spinach Salad: I thought it was just ok like everything else here. There wasn't enough dressing on my salad and the gorgonzola cheese was extremely salty. The salad was edible but it certainly wasn't anything special. 3 out of 5 stars -Veal Chop Special: Costed a pretty penny...$38 for some uneventful bland and kind of tough veal. The veal came with prosciutto on top with mushrooms, melted mozzarella with marsala gravy. I felt that for the price I wasn't happy with my meal. The side of spinach was basic. 2.5 out of 5 stars -Shrimp Parmesan: Wasn't great or anything out of the ordinary. I'm not a fan of the tomato sauce, the shrimp were under seasoned and did nothing for me. Another boring dish. 1 out of 5 stars -Side Penne alla Vodka: I did enjoy this dish! I thought the vodka sauce was nice & creamy and the pasta was cooked fairly good. 4 out of 5 stars -Napoleon Dessert: Personally I would skip it! So many people have posted pictures of The Napoleon and brag about how amazing it tastes...I'm here to tell you not to believe the hype. 2 out of 5 stars All and all I would take the good reviews with a grain of salt. This seems to be a "locals spot". I was disappointed in the bland boring food. Also the food portions weren't "huge" like people were stating. I'm glad my waitress was nice but my overall experience of Ciro's was subpar! Boring bland Italian food, I've had much better for cheaper elsewhere. read more

My good friend invited me out for my birthday and he chose Ciro's, an Italian cuisine, where I had never dined before. The dining room has a contemporary trendy elegant appeal with wood accenting. The bar is located in the middle of the dining room with a fully stocked bar. Although our waiter was somewhat dull in his demeanor, we still had no complaints about the service. We ordered vodka straight up which I believe were served in a small martini glass. For dinner, my party chose to order from their special menu except for myself. I chose the salmon picatta which was very good. Everyone loved their dinner choices, but what I really loved was their lite Napoleon desert. The restaurant was crowded and fairly loud for a Friday night. I will give this restaurant four stars for my first visit until I have an opportunity to visit them once again. read more

First time at Ciro's. Greeted immediately. We wanted a certain table so we waitied for them so set up. I think they were a little short on wait staff but there were plenty of buspeople so bread and OO came out fast. Took a little while for the drink order but once he took that the service was excellent. We had a full baked clams (yummy) and Rice balls (5 delicious Arancici in a little ricotta and red sauce, also delicious.) My entree was the pounded Veal Chop Voldestana and it was the size of Home Plate and outstanding. I recommend it. My wife had their signature Lobster Rav. Also top notch. All the food was hot and fresh. Overall and outstanding meal. Not cheap but they offer great value and quality. read more

Ciros in kings park was the best restaurant I've ever been to. Talk about the best service I've ever experienced in my life! I put my water down. Immediately. Fabio sueves picks it up and tops me off. We are eating and the staff is anticipating our meal to pounce on our plates at the exact moment we finished. It was seamless and the staff were kids who were in highschool and a couple of older gentleman but they taught every one of them who were also really good people these kids. The adults took their jobs extremely seriously the way they held the napkins the way they did their work was extremely cared about. It moved me. I have never ever experienced this anywhere else. It really doesn't come close to what actually took place at that restaurant though. A cup of water... some plates taken care of....
