Really nice show, skilled performers and entertainers. Loved all the aerial skits. Worth the drive if you are also going to have dinner and hang around the area for a bit. We opted to stay the night and put a little extra on the ordinary. Recommend it for the kids 100 percent. The little one loved the T. rex on stage, it was his highlight and wouldn't shut up about it. We are really excited for Turuk since we are Avatar fans. Tickets are not that expensive and they have discounted price tickets. The stage is small but it serves as a closer visual and there is really not a bad or insufficient seating in the arena.

We came to Fort Rock having won a free tickets through Yelp. We had planned to see the headline…read morebands on both evenings rather than stay the entire day and we were very glad we did. Unless you purchased VIP tickets there was no shade for patrons. Additionally, no one was allowed to bring chairs so can you imagine standing 12 hours in 95 degree weather without shade---we saw plenty of evidence of red lobsters walking the grounds. Sure you could bring a blanket, but the grounds were covered in litter, empty plastic water bottles and aluminum beer bottles strewn about, despite garbage cans nearby and no staff to clean the grounds during the festivities. The festivities took place next to Jet Blue Park and the setup was pretty basic: many vending stations to buy water and beer (Bud Light, Bud, and Miller Light), a tent labeled MERCH around it where you could find t-shirts, food stands consisting of BBQ, chicken, and a few other offerings. We came in the evening after dinner. We found free parking, however, regular parking near the venue was $20 per day. I agree with other patrons that security was a little too restrictive. People should be able to bring their own light chairs. Of course this was a rock concert so when we were standing at the last show of the night only a few paces away when the Mosh Pitt erupted. I was reminded why I shouldn't hang out too close to the stage. I'm not sure what I expected but it was underwhelmed by this experience. It's hard to believe this whole thing would set folks back 360$ for the two days. Needless to say we won't be back.

One of my favorites bands growing up was Def Leppard and when I heard they were playing so close to home I had to see them! I have been putting this review off because I simply cannot find words to appropriately convey my feelings about it. I will start by saying that parking was a breeze, $20 but there was a lot of spots available when we got there. We got there in time to see the last three bands, Papa Roach, Chevelle and Def Leppard. There were two stages. Papa Roach and Deff Leppard preformed on the same stage, while Chevelle played on another. We initially wanted to see all three, but after Papa Roach, we decided to move up to the front of the stage to wait for the main show. People was pretty cool and orderly for such an event. You would think that all those head bangers and all that booze and weed would equal a bad combination, but everyone was pretty respectful for the most part. We got pretty close to the front and jammed to some of the best tunes of the 80's. Def Leppard was phenomenal! They still got it even after being around for 40 years. This was a very small fry venue for them, but even so, they put on an amazing show. Lights, sound and displays were full on. Best concert Ive seen. And I have been to some pretty big shows, but this one, even on a smaller stage took the cake. I was so sad when it was over. The whole experience overall was great. It was a lot more organized than I thought, in fact I was a little weary that I'd see fights, people getting sick all over. Not the case. Leaving also was very easy. I would do is again in a heartbeat. Fort Rock ROCKS!

Some English teachers don't even speak English here! the disciplinary staff are SOOOOO useful because they just stand in the halls blowing their whistles and personally i have very sensitive ears so they are HARASSING me. If you have a fear of roaches and bugs dont go here. There are so many health code violations and the bathrooms are usually all broken. This school is always missing teachers so if you come here expecting to learn you might want to choose another school. TBH i am talking about the middle and high school campus the elementary is average. Also the students are terribly ghetto and rude but the AMAZING (Im being sarcastic) diseplenary staff do nothing about it, probably because they are all chopped cheese . Overall please don't send your kid here for the sake of their mental health.

The kids get extra points when if they walk in the hall with one arm across their chest and the other covering their mouth while walking single file. I've spoken to the staff many times over from the counselor, assistant principal and principal, teachers and nothing ever changes. Lots of False promises and fake apologies. It benefits them if you as a parent don't come feel comfortable approaching them. They keep things quiet about what's going on in school. The only way you'll know is if you have a relationship with your child where you dig about how their day actually went. When my child was going there in his second year there were kids bullying/attacking other kids in the restroom. Lifting them up off the ground in unfair condition of 3 kids to 1. Kicking in the doors to the stalls they were using and just acting out. This would happen weekly. I as assured they'd put people to rove the hall way and they didn't for weeks. There's was one week where I didn't hear anything happened because my kid saw someone in the hall. My kid was apart of 4 different encounters in the bathroom. He would tell the teachers and they wouldn't even communicate it to the principal or look into it. One day I was talking to the principal Jason Wade and a small child walked in between us talking and he told him that there were kids bullying him and others in the bathroom. He points at me and says "oh it's the same thing you're talking about". I let him know that the school is not capable of protecting and allowi children to feel safe so they can learn. Kids are taught to be quiet and stay still and not to interrupt so that the teachers can teach the curriculum. If the kids do interrupt they are ridiculed and threatened. Points taken away, colors changed and dropped, threatened parent phone calls. Etc. When they're in the cafeteria having lunch they have staff on a microphone yelling at kids to be quiet and continuing the threats. They're not allowed to talk during lunch. When they take their 20 min break they're not allowed to talk to other kids in other classes. So if they have a sibling or friend that happens to be there at the same time it's frowned upon for them to talk to other classes. I mentioned to Principal Wade that maybe there's so much restraint out on these kids and that's why they want to act out so much when they're hidden in the bathroom beating up other kids. His solutions were hollow. Nothing worked. The staff didn't support each other. Everyone agrees with you that you're right but change nothing. I removed my kid from this school. The more you speak the more you realize that you're not the only one going through it.

We got tickets to see Route 66, "a rock 'n road trip" at the MACC, our first time there. I expected a couple of singers playing acoustic guitar... but wow, the production was so much more! (I shouldn't be surprised. Literally everything we've seen with Gulf Coast is first rate.) The Community Center is part of the Unitarian Universalist Church. Seats are pews. And they're comfortable! A host of volunteers helped us from the moment we arrived. Dr. Andrew Kurtz, is the organization's founding music director, president and CEO. Let's not forget, renowned conductor. We've seen the maestro in action at Barbara Mann, and he's nothing short of fantastic. Saturday afternoon, which I think is his day off, Dr. Kurtz introduced the show and explained that they were running a tad late because the drummer was stuck in traffic. (The MACC has a casual and intimate vibe. I like that!) If you're local, you may want to check out Gulf Coast's range of productions. This year alone, there are over 130 programs featuring classical music, jazz, world music, ballet and musical theater. Remember: A little culture never hurt anyone. (Except of course, Abe Lincoln!)

As a sports member your golf is limited during season.. that's fine, we understood the limitations during season. You cannot make a tee time over 3 days out, that was fine till this year. In the previous 2 season my wife and I could golf, alone, pretty much any time after 12:00 . This year , although the number of members hasn't changed, after the course closure for renovations, we are/ were unable to find an open time before 4:30.... Ridiculous...so... until the time change you couldn't even play 9 before dark. It seems the cost of renovations is born by members in allowing more outings, outside golfers, more " guests".... This is most expensive nine holes of golf we have ever played. If you enjoy late day, slow play golf, the sports membership is definitely for you. As a parting gift, the last 3 times we attempted to dine on the patio, we had to find someone to wait on us... not at all our previous experience. Whatever has changed there... good luck.
