I had a fence installed a couple months ago. Workmanship appears high quality. The installer suggested increasing the height of the fence to limit any steps. Came out great. The work included a half fence to limit visibility of some equipment in the yard. This portion had a small issue flagged by the city inspector. It was fixed within a couple weeks. Communication after signing the contract is not great. Basically they stop responding to emails, even when they are fine with the content. Improving communication would really go a long way to improve the experience. In contrast Cisco fencing has no problems repeatedly calling customers. I believe I got more than 4 calls/texts in an hour about an issue. I was on a work zoom call. I still got calls after I took care of the issue. Cisco will not respond to customer questions but will expect you to communicate at the drop of a hat. read more

I got a beautiful 7ft fence (for the privacy), brand new concrete and patio. The quality of the work exceeded what I expected!! We wanted to extend our patio both in length and height so they broke it all down (concrete included) and built back up into something magnificent! We also asked to have a walkway added which they did with ease. They are very thorough and professional. Coming from someone who knows nothing about this kind of stuff, they made the process so smooth and easy. Cisco Fences installed a new fence for my neighbor. They cut my sprinkler line. It took me months of constantly contacting the owner, Francisco Lopez, to get reimbursed for the repair. Cisco Fences uses Heavy Duty Stain Co to stain the fences they install. The general supervisor is Rafael Lopez. They got stain all over my garage door when staining my neighbor's new fence. Obviously the owner of Cisco Fences and the general supervisor of Heavy Duty are related. On Rafael's business card it states "Cooperated with Cisco Fences Inc.". I contacted Heavy Duty Stain multiple times to remove the stain from my garage door. He made appointments to do this but stood me up multiple times. He finally sent some Cisco Fences employees out with some solution to remove the stain but it did not work. The employees had no idea what the solution was. I have left many messages for Rafael but he has not responded. I contacted the owner of Cisco Fences and all he will say is that he is not responsible. Do not do business with this company. Crew was so professional, hardworking, courteous and friendly, always cleaning up site after each day, arrived first thing in the morning and just hammered it out, the result was truly a work of art. I picked Cisco fence after speaking with 2 other vendors, and the main reason was his fences stand the test of time, most of the fences Cisco fences built in my neighborhood are still standing and aging well after 15-20 years, second was his easy sales approach, not pushy, not the most expensive just good quality. My backyard has been transformed, I've got Neighbors complementing us on our beautiful fence, comments like best looking fence in the neighborhood. Professional company that build nice fences. Nice crew. Very easy to work with "during the job" (but I also took good care of them...) but I'm afraid that is where it ends. I have delayed writing a review to give them a chance to return to adjust/fix/ address issues - but after at least six (6) attempts across with both the owner Francisco and he his son Max (even spoke 2-3 times) still - NO FOLLOW UP. Not professional nor will than earn any referrals unless they return and address the issues. On top of that, we had discussed a 2nd storage shed to be built to start immediately after the fence project ($30k+) and even need a 3rd but not interested I guess. I even had ordered custom doors for the 2nd building ($1800) that have been sitting in storage for 3 months now. What a shame. I have extensive experience with Francesco at Cisco Fences. They installed a new wood fence for me in 2014 and did a follow-up project in Summer of 2019 with a metal fence including a puppy panel. The initial project was done well, that is what the 2 stars are for. The follow-up project was done poorly and Cisco Fences was unwilling to stand behind their work, despite repeated efforts by me to reach out to them by phone, text and email starting in February 2020 through May 2020. His helper at the office, actually indicated that they would send someone out, but of course this never took place. One of the metal fence gates doesn't properly open/close anymore so we are using a cinder block. The re-stain job on the original wood fence was a disaster as you can see in the attached pictures. Stay away from them, they have many complaints against them at the BBB. Based on my multiple experiences with them, those complaints likely have merit. You have been warned. read more

We received a quote for fence cleaning and new gates in November 2022 and paid over $500 for a deposit. Max Klein, the company salesman, told us they were several weeks behind, and we were okay with that. Ultimately, we tried to cancel the work, but could never get any response from the company and did not receive any of our money back. Several weeks after we tried to cancel the work, a crew showed up to our house unannounced to start the project. No one on the crew could speak English so I could tell them the work had been cancelled several weeks prior. Had I not been home, I believe they would have taken down my fence without contacting me. Cisco Fencing installed a motorized gate across our driveway in 2020 and it has worked very well. Construction was good, timely and communication with supervisor was great. I called Cisco Fences at 7am on 5/2024 after 95mph winds blew the gate off its tracks and got a return call from Francisco at 7:20 am assuring me his crew would be there right after their first job was completed. As promised, they arrived around 10:30 am and got everything repaired and working better than before for a minimal cost. I was very glad for the work originally done and for the responsiveness and service provided to make the repair needed. Highly recommend this company. read more

The fence that Cisco built for me is beautiful, with few flaws. BUT, I can get no response from Francisco, my project manager, regarding the repairs needed to complete the job. I have some planks that were not secured with screws at the bottom of the fence and they are starting to turn up. I have emailed, text, sent pictures with the spots marked in chalk where the missing screws are, and spoken to him on the phone. He said he would send his crew out to finish the repairs. It has been almost TWO MONTHS, NOTHING. When I interviewed Francisco for the job and he gave me his sales pitch, I shared my concern with him about the poor service reviews on YELP. He gave me some excuse that it was because "he didn't pay yelp" and other comments about patrons that would be inappropriate to repeat here. If you can be home and supervise every step of the fence building process, it is a nice fence. But if you expect follow-up or warranty service, I don't think you will have much luck. read more

Forget this company if you want them to call you back regarding damage they did to a sprinkler line....once they are paid. Even after numerous texts and phone calls, no response. I will be filing a small claims court action next week. For anyone else who has had a negative experience, that process if painless. Take the time to do it. Mine was fine several years back. They did excellent work and completed on time. I requested a special item, an overhang for my pool equipment electronics. Looks great also and makes a huge difference. No issues to date. Some stain fading where my backyard rotation sprinklers hit it. I need to adjust that. Otherwise it's excellent. read more

Did my neighbors house. Painted my car and parts of my house in addition to the neighbors fence. Over a week and waiting on call back, or email, or ...... update:still no calls from the company. I contacted the city, asked for and got a copy of the insurance certificate required for them to be registered with the city. I then called the insurance company to file the claim directly. Like many people that have left reviews, my neighbors got their fence done by Cisco Fencing and they messed up mine. I came home to find out they took part of mine out. I called the office number and the "supervisors" number and got no answer. So I continue to call back until someone at the office answered who did not care whatsoever about my issue. She told me that the neighbors must of signed off on the removal of my fence. I told them that it doesn't matter what they signed it was MY fence. They promised to put a gate back like what we had and here I am 3 weeks later and he wont return our calls. My neighbors fence looks great. I would just say that if you are looking at using them and you like your neighbors then use another company. read more

The only reason I didn't give one star is because the work quality is excellent. Cisco has done our fence and a 10x20 patio cover and the finished product was very good. Price is a good value as well. However, they might be the worst company I've ever worked with from a communication/time management standpoint. On the patio cover, we signed a contract the week before Christmas and the sales person, Max, assured us they would be able to get started in mid January and would have it done by mid February in time for a wedding shower we were hosting. We didn't proactively hear from them AT ALL after the contract was signed until today, when they wanted to square up the bill. The permit wasn't even filed until the very end of January, over a month after the contract was signed! They offered to start the work on the first week of February but we did the math and knew we'd need to wait until after our event to avoid friends/family from seeing a mess. The final timeline from contract execution to close was nearly three months. We had a few weather delays during that time, but clear days would go by and we'd never hear from them. They failed to complete the job in the timeframe set at the beginning and I had to call them a least once a week to make sure work was going to get done. Go with this company if you want good work. But they are not who you want if you're under a deadline or if you expect regular updates/communication. I almost felt like I was general contracting the job I was paying them to do based on the involvement required. read more

Cisco fences has built many of the fences in our Mckinney neighborhood. Last spring they widened the driveway for our neighbors across the alley and put a motorized gate in. While their workers did so, they parked their trailer in our grass many times. I initially contacted the business to let them know we were interested in a quote for the same work and at this same time mentioned the damage to our lawn. I was assured at this time it would be taken care of. We had a very talkative and friendly sales rep out that week to provide a quote. At this time he also ensured us the grass would be repaired and new sod or seed would be laid in its place. After weeks of no response, I called and spoke to The owner (he is the only one that answers their number) no less than maybe 15 times via phone and text. Each time I was assured that the grass would be repaired. It got to the point that he wouldn't answer my calls at all and I had to start calling from a number he didn't know. Here we are one year later and my side yard is still mud. Absolutely unacceptable to damage someones personal property and take no accountability for it. They are very willing to come and give you a quote but not at all willing to take the time to correct their mistakes. I would never work with an irresponsible company like this. Needless to say we did not use them for the work. If you're in the market, contact Texas Best Stain. They do great work and they have even better customer service!! read more

We contracted Cisco Fences to re-stain our property line fences. They were asked to cover the plants, etc. bordering the fence but failed to do so leaving them, a rock wall, stone pathway and pool equipment covered in oil based stain. The company has refused to make reparations for the damage done and the unsightly mess left behind. Many of the plants have not recovered from this treatment and what was a beautiful staging of flowering plants and greenery was lost to us this summer. read more

I have not had to follow up on any thing as far as warranty goes. With that said, I thought they were great, they did tell me it would be about 6 weeks before they could start. They did not take a deposit until the day before they would start. The fence is beautiful and it was done in 3 days. I monitored their work everyday and it was impeccable. Also the employees that did the work and followed your instructions i.e. please don't step on so and so area etc. Also the staining people that work for Cisco fencing was extremely nice and as far as grass dying, maybe a little bit did but it grew back rather quickly but was not so much of a problem for me. I've tried to stain a fence and it's hard to stain a large area without a little overspray on the bottom grass portion. I rather grass die then the bottom of my fence to not have protective stain. That said, given my experience with them and their pricing, I would recommend them. Perhaps everyone else knows something I do not, Francisco was cordial and timely for me. Seems many of these reviews are about follow ups but when that issue arises I will update review. read more

Cisco completed the final phase of our fencing project today by staining our fence. Very attentive to quality and customer satisfaction. Would definitely use again. Very affordable. We had a board over fence and shared the cost of the common middle fence with our neighbors. They worked with us both to make sure everybody was happy and onboard......pun intended....with what we were expecting and then followed up with some quality concern issue touch ups the day of staining. Please stay away from this company. They will not do any warranty work once you have paid them. They will answer your call, respond to email and text prior to payment but once the check is cashed good luck getting a hold of them. I have been trying to contact the owner Francisco Lopez for almost 11 months to repair a sagging front gate, warped boards and broken wood and he will not respond. I've left numerous messages with office manager Tara and never a returned call. They were installing a new fence on a neighbors property and I talked to his son Christopher Lopez and told him if the issues. He came over and looked at the fence, I explained my frustration and he said he would send his crew over in two days. They never showed up on the promised day. I called Christopher back and again he said the crew would be out on a Saturday, they never showed up. He has now stopped returning any calls or text. I had another neighbor who was getting a quote for a fence replacement and I stopped to talk to the project manager, Max Klein. He came over and saw the issues and said it's not the way Cisco Fence did business and would discuss the issue with Francisco. I did not get a call back so I called Max Klein. Beware of Deceptive Business Practices from this company. First we placed a 10%deposit in order to guarantee an installation date; However, the fence was actually installed 15 days after the time. Paid over $5400.00 and got a fence with a gate that was cut 4 inches too SHORT. They piled dirt under the fence to make it appear okay. I had them remove the pile of dirt after ruining my grass. Then they NAILED a 6" board to the bottom of the gate so my dog couldn't get out. They promised to replace the defective gate; they DID NOT; They also have not stained the fence (included in contract price for $371). I reported them to BBB and they replied to me that the BBB CANNOT MAKE them do anything. BEWARE; Dont pay until EVERYTHING is 100%. Do not take take this company at their word. I would recommend this company to anyone who is unconcerned with time commitments or communication. From a product perspective, these guys are great. Our new fence is one of the nicer fences on the block now. The guys who put up the fence were quick, hard working and very polite. The pricing seemed to be slightly higher in the limited quotes we looked at, but very competitive. Here's the problem. The only time commitments they hit were during the sales cycle and to collect the money after the job completed. We were told during the sales piece that it would be 3-4 weeks for them to put up the fence and they would fix our broken fence in Wed of the following week. They missed two committed dates to fix the fence. The 3-4 weeks was then extended to 6 weeks and very little communication during that time. 6 weeks came around and they then said 8 weeks and I had to stay on them to stay to that date. The staining piece was supposed to be two weeks after the fence went up and took 4. Overall, very nice and quality product, but desperately in need of an office manager. read more

ZERO CUSTOMER SERVICE. They built my fence that was supposed to be pool compliant but hung the gates the wrong way and didn't put the latches high enough. I called for 5 straight business days and he wouldn't take my call. Had my wife call from a different number and he picked right up and told her he would call to schedule first thing Monday and it would still be $380 to fix their mistake. Of course he didn't call or show, and still wont take any of our calls. Now our pool project is delayed because of their breach of contract and zero , I mean zero, customer service. They build a nice fence, but they DO NOT come out for customer service and DO NOT CARE, so you better hope they get it right the first time. I didn't make a big deal out of a gap in my board on board fence that I called them about a few times but now after having a major problem with the fence, it makes sense to me why they never showed up to fix it. Because they just don't bother. I was a huge fan of CISCO fencing but I will tell everyone I know about their lack of customer commitment now that will listen. Francisco replaced my failing retaining wall & fence with a combination construction that is solid, looks great, and has garnered compliments from passers-by. I got estimates and interviewed 4 builders before selecting Cisco. I also examined the other builders' actual work in the neighborhood. Cisco was clearly superior, most notably in their use of coated screws throughout. More common is the use of nailguns on the 5/8" thick boards, which typically drive the nail halfway through the board. Add to that the fact that nailgun nails have smaller heads than individual nails, and you have a fence that will need re-nailing in 10 years. A second big plus for Cisco is their gate and gateway construction. Gates are full-frame, with corner braces, not the more common gate that has only a 2x4 "Z" frame. Gateways have two posts on each side, and a lintel connecting all 4, so the gateway dimensions are more secure. The gates open and close like a bank vault door. The best feature of my fence is the job Bearna did on a 75' straight line of fence with elevation changes. Executed without lasers or prepared plans, it is a work of art. They did our side fences a couple years prior which was ok. Our neighbor just had them do some work. They parked their trailer in front of our house and spilled a bunch of concrete powder mix. They acknowledged they did it and would clean it. Never did. Rains came that week and turned into concrete. We called with no response. Cisco Fencing just completed my fence and I am very happy with it. They worked closely with me as we were having a pool built at the same time and had to have them reschedule their start date 3 different times. My 8' board on board fence with metal poles 6' off center with 2 premium gates looks great. They used galvanized screws instead of nails for the same price and added 12" pressure treated kickboards at some points of my fence to allow for my landscape to rest up against 6" of it. Their communication wasn't great, but I was able to get a hold of them by calling and/or emailing them without issue. read more

Then three months ago we contacted them for a couple cracked boards to be replaced. First they promise you they will replace those in a couples weeks. Then they started to play the same game. I asked Cisco to come out and correct it, they never responded and charged my credit card for the final amount owed without my permission. Our new fence is beautiful! We went with the clear cedar wood type, which is almost knot free. This a very well made fence and it came with a ten year warranty. The two gates are very sturdy and look great. The added wood trim details and metal stars are outstanding. They let the cedar dry out for a couple weeks (which is suggested by most stain manufacturers), before the crew came out to apply the stain. The day they were scheduled to apply the stain was exceptionally windy, so we agreed to wait for a few days for the stain. The stain crew covered the plants, stone columns, and the swimming pool before they sprayed any stain. The existing stone columns that the home builder had constructed were not level and we had Cisco adjust those... adding stone to two columns and removing a course from one. Overall, everything was done as promised, in a timely manner, and they kept me in the loop for the entire process... including a phone call from the owner just to check in with me. One more item, the sales rep, Max, is a straight shooter and a very likable guy. I highly recommend these guys! read more

My husband and I were super excited to get our fence from Cisco Fences back in the spring of 2010. They were super helpful, and they were here as promised when it was time to put it up. We had one issue with the fence about a year after it was up. We contacted them, and someone was out to repair the issue in a timely fashion. However...We have had a different issue with the fence for about a year now. My husband called and was told by the man who answered the phone that he was out in the field and to call back and leave our information and problem in a voice mail. He was never contacted after that. He then emailed Cisco Fences to reiterate our problem, give them our address, and asked for someone to contact him. No one ever contacted him. Life happened and the fence wasn't at the top of our priority list for a couple of months. My husband called again, a man answered the phone and told him the same thing. He was out in the field. He wanted my husband to call back and leave the information in a voice mail, so my husband complied. Again, after a few days and no return phone call from Cisco Fences, my husband emailed them just like he did before. And, just like the first time, no one responded. He emailed two more times with no response. All of this transpired within a year. We know they are very busy, so we were trying to be accommodating to their schedule. We also didn't want to appear as though we were being too demanding. You know, the whole "treat others as you would want to be treated" train of thought. However, we were talking this weekend and Cisco came up in the conversation. I got upset and decided that I had had enough accommodating Cisco Fences, and that they promised a 10 year warranty and they were going to stand behind it one way or another. So I emailed them through their website, called and left a voice mail (it was a Sunday so I expected it), and then I emailed them from my personal email address. I told the business that we have been trying to contact them for about a year, and that if I didn't hear from them within a timely manner, I would be contacting the BBB and/or any television station that would listen to me in order to get some type of help. Shockingly, I received a reply Monday night around 7 PM. I was told that there was no need to threaten them, that they usually read their emails at the end of the day because they are out in the field all day, they had no intention of not standing behind their work, and that someone would be out next Wednesday. I responded by telling them that we've never heard back from anyone after repeatedly calling and emailing for a year, and that it I had to threaten to call the BBB or television stations in order to get someone to contact us. I also told the person that emailed us that I didn't appreciate them insulting my intelligence concerning their constant "in the field" excuses. Is it possible that they've been "in the field" for a year? I think not. This morning someone named Hugo called to see when he could come out. I don't hold Hugo responsible for the lack of communication since he's an employee and not the owner. My problem is with the owner of Cisco Fencing. Bottom line - Their fences are beautiful. We had two reasons for choosing them to do the work. The fence and the warranty. However, once they have your money, be prepared to hound them to uphold the warranty they promised. I have no doubt that Hugo will show up on Monday. If something comes up and he can't make the appointment, I will accommodate the issue and make another appointment. If that appointment falls through, I will no longer accept empty promises and I will be contacting the BBB, television stations, and anyone else who will listen to my issues with Cisco Fences. When you pay between 10K to 12K for a fence with a 10 year warranty, I will demand that you uphold the warranty. read more
