The list of services that the first person that evaluated our fence didn't match with our first invoice. "I'm going to build you a fence with this and that. I'm going to stain it.. ect" however the first invoice doesn't include that price. The fence includes a defect that was assured to be cosmetic. One of the bolts is too tight which caused a couple inches of wood to snap off. What they explain on the initial explanation of services is not in line with what you are billed. Added another 600$ to what I was initially quoted and the person I was speaking to on the phone hung up on me at the end. read more

I used them to install my fence nine years ago. I called 2 weeks ago to make an appointment for today at 1:00 to replace the battery backup for my driveway gate. I waited until 2:00 to call Wylie Fence as no one showed up. I was told that they don't that type of work and I was on my own. I would have appreciated a heads up two weeks ago, or even the morning of. I won't use them again nor recommend them. read more

They did a top-notch job for our creekside property with a collaborative, expert, and on-time wrought iron fence. His recommendations were different from our original ask, but his ideas were better than our own. Their workers were experienced and knowledgeable, as was their owner. Scott Craft came out personally and met with me 3 (!) times before I finally selected his business to replace our fence. I wanted a unique fence that would complement an existing contemporary deck and he made it work. He carefully analyzed the project and came up with several solutions. The job happened quickly, smoothly and is top notch. I'm very happy with the project. He even repaired/moved some sprinkler heads after the new fence line was installed. (this was from around 2017-18) They did a shared fence line with a neighbor and ourselves. They weren't our first choice, but the neighbor insisted to use them since they are "tied in" with the school district. (hmmm....) Have to say, their guys and crew did a good job and I worked out a deal to also do a small corner section and re-stain another section of fence for us BUT ... the owner (salesman?) was an A*s. (bigger (round), loud guy) Trying to sell us on how good they are, reputable, and more but lastly... that they pay $5K/month in Workers Comp (to justify the cost of the small section) ... Ummm, NO! I'm a contractor myself with full insurance etc., and NO WC policy costs $5K/mth (I've checked!) Just lying and such BS. Find their guys alone and work out a deal, you'll be very satisfied. :) read more

A neighbor referred me and they came out to do an estimate. The guy who came out was nice enough and said he would have to look some things up and then would provide an estimate It's been 3 months and still can't get the estimate. My husband has spoken to their office person multiple times and is always promised a return phone call but has never received one. Disappointing and a waste of time. read more

They built the most beautiful fence and it was reasonably priced! We even got compliments from some neighbors!

The crew was rude. They showed up late and was unwilling to be courteous to my neighbors. They parked in the alley way for hours. Not allowing people to enter their homes. They didn't have the appropriate work permits. Even drove over my neighbors lawn and refused to fix it. Over all a really bad scenario. Please go anywhere else. Scott came out to give us an estimate on october 7th. Was very knowledgeable and gave a reasonable price for the work. The only thing was he gave us a timeline of 3 weeks. I called 7 weeks later to find out what was going on. They didn't even have a contract ready. After signing a contract on November 9th. I had calI them again on the 22nd. CANCELED !! read more

Hired them to build new fence and the construction crew they sent did an amazing job and very nice and explained everything they were going to do. The salesman that can out was ok at first, then went way down hill. Did not communicate between us the homeowners and his crew. Poor communication and did not do what he said he would and flat out lied several times to us. I should have just built it myself and saved some money. Then crew that can to do the stain did a terrible job. Very streaky and light coat of stain, and did not clean up; left stain on house, windows, driveway. Had to come out a second time to restrain after much hassle with office lady and salesman. read more

No recent comments for this company, it seems the negative reviewers are more motivated than customers with postive experiences. First thing, no one has asked me to write this review, there's nothing 'in it' for me other than recognizing a company doing excellent work at a reasonable price. I had several other companies quote replacement fences and I either didn't like the design approach (example: some would not build a 7 ft fence), the wood to be used (some did not offer 'clear' cedar, which is desirable to be as knot-free as possible) , or the total price. Wylie Fence and Deck recently completed my replacement 7 foot side by side clear cedar fence on budget in the projected time frame. The owner Scott, the foreman, and crew were very informative and professional. The fence turned out great! Highly recommended. read more

When I started trying to get quotes for a new fence I was extremely discouraged after the first few contractors would not even come out to do an estimate. They either guessed based on looking my yard on Google Earth or asked me to measure each side and let them know. Then I found out from my HOA that Wylie Fence was doing work for our neighborhood in partnership with the city. When I called Wylie Fence I was pleasantly surprised that a real person answered the phone and then set up an appointment with me. The contractor who came out to do the estimate was very courteous and took time to go through a couple of different options and the pros and cons of each. I am always very concerned about safety when I have workers at my home and was glad to hear that Wylie fence does not subcontract the work to other companies. Also, Wylie Fence puts up a temporary fence the day they take your old fence down- it was perfect to keep my small dog from exploring the neighbors yards during construction. I absolutely love my new 7 foot board on board fence. Privacy was a big factor in my choice for going with board on board and it really does cut down on the noise I hear from other yards. Also, the two gates that Wylie Fence installed are very well constructed and work beautifully. read more

They came out to quote a fence repair for a cracked board caused by a car. They quoted for 3 boards but when the workers came out, they only repaired one. When I called to question this, the guy on the phone said the charge would have been the same regardless how many boards. This just seems like a very shady way of doing business. read more

Extremely happy with my new fence. Scott (owner) was very friendly and knowledgeable (I think he said they've been doing this since the early 80's? A long time!) Materials and construction are all excellent quality and I felt I got a very good price. All the guys were fast and polite, and there was ALWAYS a foreman on site who spoke English. Very odd exchange with this company. I went to the website and requested a quote for a standard fence. They called me, and wanted to do an estimate at my home, but couldn't do it for several weeks. I explained that I knew the exact measurements, and asked for a rough estimate over the phone. The receptionist finally quoted $3800 for a 70 foot section of fencing. Within minutes, I received an email saying: "We are not interested in the work. Have a nice day." Such a strange response. Maybe they are just too busy? Or maybe my fencing job wasn't enough money to make it worth their time? I get the impression that they like doing at at-home sales-pitches vs giving over-the-phone quotes. read more

Wylie Fence & Deck installed our fence 5 years ago and it has held up awesome! They were a referral from our neighbor who had a great experience with them. The salesman was low pressure, the install team professional and best of all it was built right. A few months later one of the gates stuck a little so they quickly came out and adjusted it under warranty. Soon after, I scuffed the fence and asked them for the stain color and they brought me out a half gallon of it free! Now that it is 5 years old, it still is holding up which is why I wanted to write the review. Other fences around about the same age here are leaning and faded badly whereas ours is straight and both gates work fine even in the dry summer. We had to get it re-stained from hail damage and over time a few areas were getting a little faded. The GC pressure washed the fence, re-stained it and it looks as good as new again. One part of our neighbors fence that faces our backyard is from another company and the pressure wash nearly took all the color off. The Wylie part retained the color much better after the wash. I called them a few weeks ago to find out the stain color for the re-stain and a nice woman answered and looked it up immediately for me. All my interactions have been positive. read more

I had a 5 ft chain link fence installed. They were awesome. Lowes had started my fence and really messed it up. Wylie Fence came out and fixed what Lowes had messed up and finished the install. My fence looks great now. I can't tell you how happy I am with my fence. Thank you Wylie Fence. read more
