I got a great fence at a great price. The last fence I put up was a little less expensive but was put together with panels from 6-foot unstained bare wood bought at a big-box home improvement store. What a difference two-feet make. And the wood-on-wood, instead of panels, and the staining make a huge difference appearance-wise. Now I have the best-looking fence on my block. Pro: reasonable pricing Con: the power washing was poor to just plain bad. Lots of damage to fence that wasn't covered up with new stain. The technician got too close with the nozzle, lousy job. Plus, they got water all over my neighbor's windows, they complained and I had to deal with that. When I mentioned it to Mike, he said they don't deal with neighbor's like that who complain, it's only water. Then he said he wasn't coming back to stain the fence, didn't want the hassle. He comped the pressure wash, but left me hanging on the stain. I had to find another company to apply the stain. Just make sure the company you pick will cover the backside of the fence so the overspray won't cause problems. I wouldn't recommend Express Fence. read more

The quality of the gate is excellent and holding up so far in the Texas heat wave. The gate was sagging because of the heat and I was trying to fix it myself. While we had a little communication breakdown at the start, that was overcome and everything went fine. I had several rotten wooden fence posts replaced with metal poles set in concrete. Additionally I had new holes drilled in the metal gate track that ran across my driveway the nee concrete screws to attach track to driveway. The has mad a significant difference in the functioning of the gate. Another company said the track would have to be replaced and driveway work and blah blah blah for $$$$$$. I cannot speak to the quality of their product/service, but I can share that Mike, the owner, is rude and unprofessional. For almost two weeks, both his work truck and a flat-bed trailer (equipped with a cement mixer) have been left unattended and parked along my property and within my cul de sac. Apparently, they store their equipment here, and the work crew comes and goes. I leave for work at 7:15 A.M. each day and return by 4:00 P.M., and I have never seen the crew. In all fairness, there has been a lot of rain, no doubt delaying the project, but storing all this equipment overnight is inconsiderate. I contacted Mike today to let him know that we have been patient for almost two weeks and have made no complaints, but today the truck drove through and left a rut in my lawn. He was defensive, rude, and would not let me finish a sentence. He said he cannot undo the damage to my lawn, and he was not the one driving the vehicle; I never threatened to call the police, yet he said, "We've had the police called on us several times; there's nothing they can do." When I told him I was calling him as a courtesy rather than posting a negative review, he said, "Go ahead if you want to ruin the livelihood of my family." When I realized I could not have a productive conversation with him, I contacted the non-emergency police number to inquire about the code. The officers who arrived said the truck was not necessarily illegally parked, although rude and inconsiderate, but that the flat-bed trailer full of all their equipment was a violation. If you care about how Mike will care for your property and that of your neighbors', I would carefully consider doing business with him. Too bad my patience, grace, and attempt at decent communication did not work. Very disappointing. read more
