We paid cash for our fence and had no issues until we got a letter from the city. They never got the permit which we were told was in the quote. Now they won't return our calls. STAY AWAY The following is a facutal account of my experience with this company with no embellishments. I called this company looking for some fence installation and repair. They gave me a very good quote which I accepted. I was later contacted saying that it was a mistake and the price was too low. The new price was still competitive but higher than before. No big deal but odd. I was also looking for some gutter work which they also do so I rolled that job into the fencing job. It consisted of cleaning out my gutters, adding screens to the gutters, adding a downspout in a specific location, and repairing some areas to fix poor drainage as well as fixing some decorative railing at the roof line. After the workers finished and the job was apparently done I inspected the work and was horrified. The railing was installed crooked and had many obviously unpainted spots. The downspout was installed in a totally different area than I had picked out. It was spilling out into the walkway of the main entrance of my home. There was trash everywhere. Food wrappers, gatorade bottles and lots of off-cuts from the gutter screens. Worst of all, when the workers left they dropped several short screws in the middle of my driveway, the kind that are ideal for puncturing tires. There was no oversight on the job, no one inspecting to make sure its being done to a high standard. This is a management failure. The culture of this business is allowing this standard of work to be the norm. No quality control is being performed until after complaints happen I called them back to address the substandard work and they were very apologetic and did repair the poor work as well as clean up. The downspout was moved to the correct location but they did not fill the holes in the house that were left behind and they had to be called back again. I am still finding screws in my driveway probably washing out of my gutters from this recent heavy rain and there are still areas of poor drainage that need to be addressed. I have been attempting to contact them to come back to quote me on fixing the area that still have poor drainage but they are too busy and stopped responding 10 days ago. They previously asked me several times for a google review but I told them that I dont enjoy writing bad reviews and I would rather leave no review unless they earned the 5 star review. This review is a direct response to the lack of after care you showed your existing customer. I was told there was a lifetime warranty on the work but that doesnt matter apparently since I cant get them to come over here. I am washing my hands of this company. They had their chance to make it right with me. I never want to deal with this company again except maybe as the injured party in a civil suit. The fence work is excellent and if not for all the other problems I would have used them again for future fence work happily. read more

I seen some pics from this company and like the quality. I read reviews and seen that they are wonderful to work with. We needed to replace our fence and Blake came by to do the estimate. He was knowledgeable about the products, timing, and completed an estimate for me. Now I did get a couple of quotes but I felt most comfortable with Blake as he took the time to explain the whole process with me, which is very important to me. It is just a matter of time before the 4.0 fake reviews catch up to DFW Fence Pro, DFW Roofing Pro, DFW Pro Concrete and his failing Lubys Tree Service with a post office box as a business. He destroyed my home and I am doing all the repairs his Facebook Contractors did allegedly. His contractors did a poor job of repairing our home unsupervised and enjoyed themselves while they were in our home. Blake gave a key to every contractor. They did elicit behavior and borrowed from our home while they dealt in these activities and I have the PROOF to back it up. read more

Be warned!! This may be the worst business I've ever dealt with. In June, we paid them almost $5000 for a fence repair. Approximately $700 was to adjust two gates. We had purchased new hardware because we didn't think the current hardware could bear the load. They assured us we didn't need it. They spent maybe 15 minutes adjusting the gates and assured us it was a lifetime warranty. Three months later, the gate won't close. Here's the catch. They now say it wasn't due to workmanship, so they won't guarantee the work. So... I guess their "workmanship " won't last even three months. FURTHERMORE, when I contacted them, I could never get a return call from the manager. She had her project guy call me. It took almost 3 weeks and numerous messages to get this response. He was adamant that my gates weren't covered but never took the time to listen to my side, let alone come look at the gates. He actually hung up on me. Do not do business with these people. They gave us a lower price and assured us they would stand behind their work. They absolutely will not. read more

After our first call, they promptly came to give an estimate on replacing a rotted post with a new wood post. Quote was reasonable. Within minutes of talking it over with my wife, she called to set up an appointment to replace the post. She was promised a call back for a specific day and time. Three days go by and no response. She called and the guy apologized saying they were busy but would definitely call back with a date and time. Waited one more day, we were done waiting. Called a different company and they suggested a steel post for a longer lasting solution. We liked that idea. They were out the next day and did a fabulous job. We will call them again. We know eventually, we will need to get the entire fence redone and that a wood post was be a temporary solution. We think DFW Pro couldn't be bothered with such a small job. They will now miss out on any current or future business from us and anyone we know. read more

Needed a fence replaced after a storm but I waited until the weather calmed down. Called up DFW Fence Pro (among others) to do a complete replacement. Price wise: Very competitive and matched other quotes I had. Speed: Very quick: Within a couple of days they had people out there dismantling the old fence and digging holes for the new one. The old fence had wood columns, the new one uses metal posts set in concrete, seems to make it stronger. Next day they were back and had it completed. Looks good. BUT: They used ring shanked nails out of an airgun. Makes for fast work but many of those nails have started to pop out. The nails I have recovered were also covered with a scale of rust. I bought a 1lb box of replacement nails for future maintenance. When they removed the old wood posts, they just took a sawzall to it and left the stuff below grade in the ground. Gaps. I'm not talking about gaps between the cedar fence pickets. That will happen as the wood dries out. I'm talking about gaps at the bottom. When they dug new holes for the posts, they left the excess dirt just laying around. And instead of smoothing it out, it remained so when they were putting up the new fence, they placed the pickets on that dirt. While that might make it look flush to the ground, a good rain will redistribute that dirt and show off the gaps. Since DFW Fence Pro is not a San Francisco company those 5 star reviews must be shills. They said yes to every thing we asked for and their quoted price reflected some the extra ordinary work we wanted done. They also said they would not sub contract the job. All lies; when the crew showed up to do the work they said they we a sub contract crew and had not agreed to do any of the extra ordinary work we had agreed to with DFW Fence. We let the subcontract crew continue after negotiating a slight price reduction from DFW Fence. The finished fence looked OK; but they had agreed to a certain spray on color over the pre-stained cedar material but did no spray-on stain. There was a 4' high fence section between our detached garage and our house that they agreed to replace with the same construction as the old section that used metal posts set in drilled holes in our exposed aggregate concrete patio. They sawed off the old metal posts and used poorly flanged metal post bolted to the patio concrete with wood shims under the flanges to correct for bad post perpendicularity. The wood shims have since started rotting and coming out from under the flanges causing the fence become unstable. The patch work they did on the old sawed off fence posts was terrible; just mounds of hand mixed concrete in the holes. I could write several more paragraphs about the very, very poor job they did. read more

Before the job was completed the owner asked for partial payment which I refused and they continued doing a bad job. If I could give a zero star that would the grade. read more

Although their team did a great job, the front office was not great to work with. My neighbors and I did not get a call with any updates, check-ins before install, or other contact. If I wasnt constantly checking in their crew would have shown up without us knowing. They broke a sprinkler head, and said, not our problem. they broke a water line on our neighbors, and left a hose running overnight. Not so sure about others, but between the complete lack of front office contact, support, and communication, negative impact on our water systems, I would say you can probably find a contractor who is more communicative and professional than this. On the bright side, their crew did a great job and the final product is top quality, just a negative experience with their front office. So, hire with warning!! read more

They were there when they said they were going to the be there and did over the top work! Our fence was not the normal fence as we had a wooden privacy fence, a no climb horse fence, and also a wrought iron, all that completely covered our 2 acres! Save your time and find someone else. Blake Luby showed up to give me an estimate on some gates we wanted redone. He explained nothing, and took the measurements and provided a quote. He assured me he would match the pickets and make our gates functional again and add new metal posts. When he finished the job I found out he used cheap lumber and pickets that did not match our old fence. They were unstained and unpainted, the gates stopped working within a month and when I called him for a week he did not respond to any of my voicemails, or texts. I called a different number and was told I would get a call back. 8 months later i'm still waiting. I wont let Blake take all the blame because I'm the fool who didn't learn everything about fences before going with his services. I figured a professional would guide me and help me with my need rather then take my money, do a shitty job then disappear. I guess I'm just naive. Do your research before hiring a fence contractor of what you want and do not use this company. To anyone who is still reading my review. I did have my whole fence done including the shitty gates that Blake did. Now its cedar wood and stained and substantially better than what Blake provided. The company that did it explained to me all the things that blake did wrong, and 8 months later I can still use my gates. Our fence was 16 years old, repaired many times and embarrassing! We chose DFW Fence Pro to replace our fence after the company was highly recommended in several different social media forums. What we didn't know was this was the same company we called in spring of 2015 for an estimate after another storm knocked a part of our fence down again. We were not able to work out a deal with the neighbors at the time so we waited. Blake, the owner remembered us after over a year and basically gave us the same price except for the 3rd gate we added. That never happens! Both Blake and Bryce were friendly, professional, on time for appointments, flexible with our crazy work schedules and very patient with our HOA home modifications process. Even provided us with 3 different invoices so the neighbors had their own. Our lot is a .25 acre, it was a 2 man crew and was done in two days. Amazing!! Our fence is SO BEAUTIFUL and makes me smile every time I see it. We truly appreciate their amazing business ethics and will recommend them every chance we can.
