My stepfather is suffering from Alzheimer's so it's very comforting for us to know that he's been taken care of by people this care. The staff is good about keeping us informed about his care which will greatly appreciate. anytime we have questions or concerns the nursing staff or social worker have been really good about addressing them. When we first visited this nursing home we liked how clean it was but had some concerns because we have heard some bad reports. So for our experience has been all good and it's walking distance for us so we visit almost every day.

This facility is now under Pinnacle Management. I agree completely with most of these previous…read morereviews. They play games. From the nasty mouth social worker that try to belittle ($$$) you to the nurse practitioners trying to be MD, diagnosing medical conditions so they can drug you up and finish you off.. Even some of the dieticians make you feel low. Some people have issues with their weight due no fault of their own. Genetically challenging. Endocrine issues. They have could had emotional and traumatic experiences in the past going all way back to childhood! They deal horribly with memory loss, folks who are confined to wheel chairs, bedridden, cannot conduct their daily activities of living independently. They allow things to get out hand. Preventive measures. Proper notification to family members at the start of a wound. Neglect leads to the stage 4. The skip over too many details. They spoof their caller ID when they contact you. No wants to give there name!! Some of their staff english is not clear. When you have conversations with them. Heavy accents. You will FiNALLY see a MD appear and Pinnacle on your Phone announcing departure time!! This world has been through a rough climate in the past few years. I would have never selected this place if a knew any better. At that moment lockdowns where in effect.. There were not many viable options. For my spouse CHANGE came much too late. I would advise the general public to do extensive research on these facilities. I just found out on WPIX this spot had a big Incident some years back.

The reason why I like this doctor's office and still am a patient, even though I have moved to…read moreWestchester, is because they allow walk-ins. If you call, first thing in the morning and want to be seen by a doctor, instead of having to make a visit to an emergency room, an external receptionist will take your information and the reason for your call and have someone form the office call as soon as they open and set you up with a walk-in, same-day appointment. You may not be able to see your personal physician but it definitely beats seeing a complete stranger in an emergency room several hours AFTER you checked in. The downside is the fact that I feel the receptionist staff is COMPLETELY unprofessional. I've gone there, stood in front of the staff, waiting for assistance while they take personal calls, have conversations about personal topics and handle their lunch orders before taking care of the clients, waiting right before their faces. It's a shame because if they were working in an actual hospital and pulled that crap, they would be written up or fired immediately, if they didn't change their work ethic. Get rid of the ghetto folk, Monte, seriously.

We chose this location because the patient worked there, however things changed over the years. The front door staff is some-timish, sometimes nice, sometimes not. Then our loved ones room is always disoriented by the aides with their hdning routines making a complete mess. Call bell is never at their bed side... Always on the floor after changing, and they took quite a while when called to respond. Staff is rarely at the nursing station, and respiratory always appear stressed. No staff should appear stressed in front of visitors and patients. There is only one restroom visitors can use and it's located on the first floor behind the front desk. Dialysis is 5 times a week and the tracho accessories aren't changed on time. No nursing home is perfect and that's the issue. Than you Split Rock for doing your best, but my overall complaint is the lack of communication with staff "healing' patients, it is very poor and we almost feel as though we are bothering when asking for updates.

Unfortunately less than a month, my mother got MRSA. She had to be hospitalized and in the hospital she recovered. The only thing this facility got going for them is that they have excellent wound care and the respiratory therapist are good. The nurse practitioner was amazing. Unfortunately my mom was in a room with three other patients and I believe somehow, someone didn't clean their hands properly and that's how she acquired mrsa. This facility is so dated. I felt like I was in one of those movies from the 1940's. It was so dated that most of the machinery took up so much space in the rooms. I refused to bring my mom back because she acquired this terrible bacteria. Joselin was their representative and she was not so helpful with anything. The nurse in the front I believe his name was Harry was a diamond in the ruff. Thank you for doing everything you could for my mom. But unfortunately, I could not recommend this facility.
