    Catskills!

The place is nice with the little shop inside. It's like going to an antique store for coffee. I ordered a dirty chia for my drink. It was properly made. The sales person was friendly and talked a whole bunch. Small town vibes. Just go and see for yourself!!!!!

Cute shop packed with tons of local and non-local items. One person working on a Saturday morning but no one was in a hurry. Tasty drinks from a small menu, and a varied selection of pre-packaged baked goods.

The sun on your back while you sip a perfect cappuccino and read...sounds perfect right? Very friendly staff. Several interesting pieces of artwork and local artisan goods to admire. I didn't notice any pastries or items to enjoy with your coffee. However there was a pastry case and I arrived at 2pm well past morning rush.

Super cool coffee shop in downtown Catskills. Loved the artsy vibe and adjacent gallery. Great spot for working from your laptop. Friendly and laid-back baristas. Coffee was great too but the unique artsy items to buy and vibe was what really put it over the top for me. You get the sense this is a community gathering place.

A little something for everyone, and try the turmeric and ginger latte if you want to be warmed from the inside out.

I was super excited when I realized most of this place is vegan, but was disappointed by flavor. The mocha was okay but lacked significant flavor and the vanilla bean latte must have had actual beans used because it was also lacking flavor but had a mysterious crunch. It's a cute place, though, and maybe other items taste better....

Vegetarians rejoice!…read more Where do I start? How about with the best damn sandwich I've had in years. This place was recommended to us, as my wife and I are vegetarians. I ordered the Fontina Panino (vegan sausage, fontina cheese, arugula and fennel mustard on ciabatta) and a cortado to drink. We take out seat in the very cool back room, and only after 5 or so minutes the drink and food arrives. Now I am a complete foodie, really tough on everything I eat, but after one bite I was in love. To the point where I asked Lauren, the owner, what mustard they were using, and then ordered a panini press when I got home hoping to recreate the magic. Perfectly chewy bread, just the right balance of sweet and savory, and that mustard. Truly amazing. My wife ordered the avocado toast which she said was perfection. I wish I could bundle this place up and ship it to New Haven because I'd be eating one of those sandwiches every week. As for everything else: The service was great. The atmosphere laid back and funky. Everything was reasonable priced. LOVE LOVE LOVE Cafe Joust!

I've been there twice and twice it was just like that I was with someone and they stopped me. I'm letting them get away with my money. I didn't have homegirl with me today, but I got my money but I didn't get actually what I wanted. Don't go there if you want good cappuccinos or mocha lattes or whatever I know one that I can get good hot coffee from and it's good so but that one sucks I wouldn't give it to my enemy. Hopefully you get more responsible workers that know what they're doing. Know how to work a machine and you ain't gotta wait 10 or 20 minutes for iced coffee or iced coffee with something else that you wanted it that they don't know where it is or how to mix it into the coffee. We tried the yuzu and also the matcha flavored shortbread/cookies. They were wonderful Then we had sandwiches - egg salad and also a ham and cheese. The sandwiches were super fresh and filled to the brim. She heated the ham and cheese one. Yummy! The bread is so delicious.$11 each sandwich - which actually felt like a bargain for the quality and quantity. Next time we will try the asparagus . Lots of cool Japanese pantry items in stock including hard to find specialty sesame oil and black sesame paste ..etc. I rarely give 5 stars - but between the service, the great food, and the chill atmosphere - this is a winner. We will be back! Arigato!

Great vegetarian options and gluten free options for cakes. The blueberry olive oil cake and apple cake were both delicious, super moist and soft-- the crumbly top was delicious and not too sweet. The egg salad sandwich with arugula was very tasty-- the artisanal bread was fresh and the egg salad was so creamy and savory. It also comes on round milk bread. Love how the sandwiches come in half and full portions making it easy to try different ones. We also tried the curried carrot, sprouts, and cream cheese sandwich was equally delicious and fresh-- a great vegetarian option. The ham and Gruyère sandwich with sundried tomato aioli was excellent-- thick slices of ham and cheese, really well-balanced and satisfying. Friendly owner who makes these delicious sandwiches throughout the day. Can't wait to go back! There is a small round indoor table for seating for a few people but most of it is for take out, which we happily did.
