I was sooo lucky to have found Candace. She literally opens her home to the dogs in her care. Dogs spend their time at her lovely house and are allowed to come in and out throughout the day. There were a few other dogs staying with Candace at the same time as my dog, and these guys were so sweet and playful. (Candace does a wonderful job screening her clients to make sure everyone is safe, happy, and comfortable.) Leaving your dogs in her care is like leaving your dogs with a family member. My dogs instantly trusted her, and so did I. I was able to enjoy my vacation without worrying about my pets. She even sent me photos to help put my mind at ease. Candace is the BEST, and I highly recommend her to all dog owners who do not want to board their loved ones in kennels.

When I first started with this dog walking company, I spoke with the owner Elizabeth who was very reassuring and seemed to have a process in place for getting anxious dogs familiar with their walker. We started off well, with slow meet and greets with our designated walker, and with a plan to start getting my dog familiar with her backup walker. However, after 5 months, they started sending a third walker without notifying me at all. I called and spoke with the owner, who again reassured me. However, this continued to happen, and I learned that our training plan for the backup walker was never communicated. I was redirected to the manager JC, who also stated he would get to the bottom of the issue and solve it, but they continue to send a different walker without notifying me beforehand.

In less than an HOUR Honey had been stung, treated and returned home. This is our second fast ride for a bee sting and both times this place has responded to us in an amazingly fast, calm and professional way. A tech/vet came out and spoke to us in about 3 minute intervals, letting us know what was going on. They instantly calmed me down, as I knew that Honey was going to be okay, and she is. They offer many options for my dogs stay, including hours of socialization. My girls had to stay over an extra night and York Bark & Play had no problem accommodating them. When I picked them up, they were freshly shampooed and relaxed. They were tired out from all the socialization! When we pulled into York Bark & Play a couple of weeks later (just to see how they'd react) they got excited. A place they are happy to go must have treated them very well indeed.
