1. I was told that the person coming to clean would be there between 2 and 4 pm. He showed up at 3:45 pm which WAS in the estimated window but I'd be more pleased if he showed up closer to 2. 2. I was told that to protect our wood floors a sheet of plastic would be placed under the carpet. Did not happen. Maybe I misunderstood. 3. This is a cut and paste from another comment on this thread but also applies to us: "-The fellow who showed up smelt like extremely bad body odour- our home now smells like a mix of oranges and B.O." I have the doors & windows open for air flow. 4. The service guy who came did a decent job and the rug looks good. However I had to run a towel around the perimeter of the rug go soak up a little puddle and three wet spots. 5. I booked Citrus-o because they were having a 20% off sale. Technician was late and poor job cleaning the downstairs of my house. Had a morning appointment because my kids were at school during that time and carpets could be partly dry by the time I brought them home at 3. Technician arrived at 12:30 and immediately tried to upsell me on cleaning my sofas. He did a good job upstairs however downstairs in the family room left several stains. He didn't even attempt to clean behind my sofa. I noticed a hose in my toilet so I certainly hope he didn't use the toilet water to clean my carpets. I will never use this company again. read more

I know it's not fair of me to review a service I have not used or paid for but my neighbours have a citrus-o van in their driveway right now and it is so annoyingly loud. I can't even hear myself think, let along get my work done (I work from home occasionally). I also understand that I can't be complaining about noise at 9:30-10am, but regardless, citrus-o should probably think about utilizing some sort of sound proofing upgrade to their vehicles, or at least bring the darn machine inside the homes they are servicing so it's not disrupting the entire street. I've used them for years...love their natural product as I have a variety of allergies. But beyond this their carpet cleaning has been consistently outstanding. Recently had some awful berry stains and thought I'd need new carpets. They were able to completely remove. Highly recommend... read more

My mistake, he did not do a post-inspection, however I just presumed that Citrus was such a reputable company, that I relaxed a bit, but parts of the carpet were not done at all, and has dark spots all over the house. Does look like it was not done at all. No citrus smell, not sure how it was sanitized. Very disappointed. Will have to get another proper company to do it all over again. read more

-I was told upon booking that the cleaners will move and return all furniture except for breakables and electronics. When the man showed up to clean our carpet, he told us that he didn't know what to do with the furniture then proceeded to stand there and watch me struggle to help my husband move couches on our own. -The fellow who showed up smelt like extremely bad body odour- our home now smells like a mix of oranges and B.O. -The stain on our carpet was not only not removed, but is now a bright orange colour. He told us to "buy some cleaner and keep working away at the stain on our own"...and then left. I will NEVER book with this company again. read more

Bed Bug transporter! Beware of this company. I had my carpet and mattress cleaned by this company. 2 days after the cleaning I had bed bug bites. I brought in an exterminator and he determined that there was no evidence of existing bed bugs and that my bites were likely the result of contaminated equipment. I called and explained what had happened to the lady. She basically accused me of lying and would not take any responsibility for what happened. Used citrus O in February. First I didn't get a call as promised for when they would arrive. I waited all morning until I called dispatch. They said they forgot. Our stairs were cleaned and then we went away. It is now past their 30 day guarantee and we have noticed that the carpet is blotchy. I called them explaining that we have been away but they said there wasn't anything they could do. Disappointing response to say the least. read more

We have been doing our best, cleaning our carpets with the Safeway rentals. My mom and friends suggested Citrus-O- it's more expensive- but there's no comparison in results. I never would have thought all those stains would come out, and the carpet could look so good. Especially thankful to Serge, who did such a good job and was friendly and professional. The carpet cleaning itself was tolerable, but pretty much everything else associated with these folks was not good at all. The person on the phone in the initial contact when I was trying to set up an appointment just could not get the information right, and when the cleaner himself arrived, he confirmed that the 'intake' staff member had not put my info down properly. After the cleaning a horrid odour lingered for 9 days. I called the company back three days after the cleaning to report what we were experiencing and to ask if there were some thing we/they could do to mitigate the smell. Without listening fully to my question/concern the person on the phone said she would connect me with "quality control' which did happen. Nobody answered though a voicemail invited me to leave a message so that they could get back to me. Nobody ever called me back -- nothing, nada, zip. Clearly they didn't care about my business, so I won't be spending another $600+ with them again. USE AT YOUR OWN RISK! read more

I have used these guys in the past and their work has been excellent. Today I have been waiting 3hrs for them to show up. They called me in the morning to confirm between a 1-2pm arrive time. I arrived at 1pm and waited until 2:30pm when I called them. I was told they would be at least another 1/2hr. If they knew they were going to be an hour late - CALL ME. 3+hrs of my day have been wasted. Not impressed. read more

We have not had the greatest luck with cleaners. Living in a second floor apartment with no elevator, we thought the apartment version was a great idea. No one told us they MUST have an elevator to do the job so the first Citrus O rep came, looked in the door and said "No elevator, can't do the job, walked away." After a call to the disptach, conversation about how they would park the van (right beside the building) as the hoses go 300ft, the job was done both in a timely and fantastic fashion. Stains that we thought would NEVER be removed are gone and the carpets dried quickly. Plus, added bonus, no strong chemical odors to cause headaches afterwards. Would I use them again? Definitely, but I would MAKE SURE they knew to send someone who was not only interested in using the apartment option, but had some interest and pride in doing their job. read more

From the moment I called Citrus O to discuss my carpet cleaning needs, I felt like I was in the right hands. Due to the lease, the carpets need to be cleaned every year - I always just thought they looked so bad because they were so old - it turns out, the carpets have just never been cleaned properly. They are the original carpets from the early 90's. Previous tenants have smoked, and there were coffee and wine stains everywhere. After the cleaning was completed (just over an hour and a half for 1200sq/ft) the unit smelt citrusy fresh and never looked so good. Very happy! Thanks Citrus O! read more

On December 04, 2018, we had our carpets cleaned by Citrus- O located at 12049 86 Avenue in Surrey. I was reluctant to place the order with them as I thought the price was a bit high. But they offered a discount and called me several times and practically talked me into it. They asked about the number of rooms and hallways. I said the carpeting in hallway was about 1,5 metres. Nobody explained that the hallway is considered as a separate item and will cost practically as much as much two rooms in case I order it. The guy who cleaned told me he would do it for extra pay. The carpets after cleaning look worse and dirtier than they did before. When I called and asked for recleaning as the 30 day guarantee promises, they told me it was discounted cleaning and it`s OK. Why nobody explains that discount at Citrus-O implies low quality of service and the guarantee doesn`t apply in this case. Now we have to find the new cleaners, and the Citrus-O`s discounted offer will cost me too much. This is my worst carpet cleaning experience and my first and last time with Citrus-O. read more

HORRIBLE... I had ordered citrus-o to come and clean the carpets of my house before the new tenants moved in back in May 2016. Initially their service started off good, but it soon went south. The guy who came to do the cleaning wasn't aware that the hoses had disconnected and the hot water was spraying all over my hardwood floors. I was waiting outside for the service to finish, when I noticed the water pooling on my floors. I got his attention, he shut it off, and he quickly sucked up all the water with the suction device on the hose. The worker was extremely apologetic, and ensured me that he would call the issue in, and get citrus-o to fix the damage they had done to my floors. This is where the trouble started... Citrus-o is an extremely unorganized company. I called them immediately to make sure they were aware of the issue, and to see if they had made plans to fix my flooring. It took a while to get ahold of someone with authority that was aware of the issue. But finally someone named Cindy called me and told me that they would fix the floors asap. Unfortunately that never happened. A month later I emailed her to follow up on the repair. She told me that they will have their contractor call me to set up an appointment. The contractor called probably 2 weeks later. He then was supposed to call my tenants and make an appointment to go to the house to check out the damage and give an estimate to citrus-o. That unfortunately never happened. No Call was made to make an appointment. So then another month goes by, I once again email citrus-o to follow up on the repairs. This time instead of hearing from citrus-o, I heard directly from the contractor who was yelling at me over the phone complaining about how he had a heart attack ect.. And other personal details no customer should ever have to hear about ...and that he will get to my issue when he finds the time to. I found that to be EXTREMELY unprofessional that someone had disclosed that information in such a rude manner to me. I then told citrus-o about the rude conversation i had with that contractor, so citrus-o then decided to send over a different contractor to the house thinking the issue could be resolved faster this way. the next contractor called me, and then made the trip over to check out the damaged floors. But this is where citrus-o really screwed me over bad with their horrible communication skills... The contractor wouldn't start the work until he was paid first, and citrus-o wouldn't pay him until he finished the work. So it took 6 months of me waiting, and multiple emails for them to realize they had to communicate better with this contractor so they can complete this work! After, this Cindy person explained their miscommunication error with the contractor, I told them how ridicules this process has been. Considering the extra flooring was at my house, all they had to do was replace it with the flooring already provided. This process was dragging on way too long, I had enough! I told her that if I had ever read a review like this I would have never chosen them in the first place. I am writing this to let you all know how bad their work can be. After all that, the carpets were not cleaned to my satisfaction, and the carpets still had the dog smell from before. I highly recommend everyone to look into a smaller operating, perhaps local company, rather than these guys. Because frankly, they wasted my time, and money, and also managed to ruin my floors.
