Can you be in love with BBQ delivery? I've ordered from City BBQ several times and have LOVED my order every single time. I especially love the Smokehouse Salad. It feels fresh and healthy and doesn't skimp on flavor. The cornbread is also divine - a mini-loaf of moist cornbread that is just incredible. Not far behind that is their corn pudding, which brings the taste of summer corn in another form. Along with some sides, I've tried and enjoyed th lemonaid. It's isn't too sweet, just refreshing. I'm not someone who can really review the green beans or collard greens because I'm only a semi-fan of those dishes, but from what I can tell, City BBQ brings their unique flavors to those sides as well. They righted their wrong so I respect that. They definitely are on top of things because instantly they reacted and even refunded all of the stuff they missed throughout the past several months. I am really happy to see them on top of things and noticed they seemed really stressed out. Don't stress! Accidents happen, all that matters is improvements were made. Being across the country I have seen far, far worse and consistently. The food is phenomenal they just needed a little management reevaluation and they changed quickly. Well, fast forward to the week before Thanksgiving and I am scratching my head as to what I would do for a meal. I came across an enticing coupon and decided to give City BBQ another try, but this time changing locations. I ordered turkey, green beans, corn pudding, salad and of course peach cobbler. DAMN! That turkey rocked! Super moist and full of flavor! The side dishes were basically equally as impressive in taste. My only issue was the portion of side servings... they were not filled to the top. Had this catered and it was still amazing. Loved the chicken and pulled pork, slaw, salad dressing, potato salad, pickles and onions served like I have had in Texas. Someone in our class said Cincinnati BBQ was overrated but I have to disagree. The brisket and pulled pork was tender and flavorful and the Mac and Cheese was good - not great, but good. Not sure if the chicken was as good, but it was the first platter to go so I will assume it was worth the effort. They also ordered a chocolate cake that was popular with the class - I don't do chocolate so I can't vouch for that either but it knocked a couple of classmates out for the afternoon session. Trust me, I was a skeptic when I was told this helpful little tidbit, naiively assuming that just bread couldn't really be served that differently, but boy was I wrong.
